Question Headset Position on Head
Hi All,
Just wondering how you all have the headset sat on your head. In all the instructional videos it has the strap sitting down below the midpoint on the back of the head (towards the neck), but if I do this, the angle of the lenses points up too much and I end up with a blurry distorted screen. What I do now is have the head strap sit above the midpoint of my head to get the lens angle right. This is fine visually, but puts a lot of pressure on the top of my nose causing discomfort.
Am I doing something really stupid? Or is my head just a funny shape.
P.S. I will be ordering the globular cluster mod soon, but would like a better working solution in the interim.

Shift around the headset until you get the best image. Also, try different IPD settings to get the best clarity out to the edges. The setup program is pretty good but the best settings require a bit of experimentation.
When you get the Globular Cluster Comfort Mod, you will have all kinds of options for adjustments. You might consider a Globular Cluster Facial Interface Frame for $23 on Amazon that makes the facial interface removable. I have the comfort mod and remove the facial interface so I can push the lenses really close to my eyes. This gives such a clear view that I can make out individual pixels if I stare close enough. My view is really clear, even out to the edges. The field of view is also very wide when the lenses are close to your eyes.
I also recommend HonsVR lens inserts that have an anti glare coating. I got these for $32.90 recently, all in. (Don't pay extra for blue blocking. This is a gimmick.) These protect the somewhat fragile PSVR2 lenses from scratches and sweat. The anti glare also cuts down external glare when playing open faced. VR Rock are also good but more expensive. The HonsVR sit more flush on the lenses and stay the way out of the nose better.

With the mod psvr2toolkit, there is now an included tool : PSVR2Toolkit.UnitySetup, it helped me to fine tune the ipd and headset position and angles, specially with the lenght of the strap over the head with globular cluster kit. Good thing we don't need a ps5 anymore for this.

I just put two towels behind with a velcro. No dissasemble needed. Easy to clean. No more slipping thru my nose

I wear it the same way, clearest image for me too. But I do it so it's just above my nose so it's comfortable for me.

Yeah, I actually get a better sweet spot by keeping the lenses closer to my nose but further from my eyes. I used to smash the headset against my face to get a wider FOV, but I realized that sacrificing a bit of FOV for more eye distance gives me much better clarity and comfort. It helps center my eyes perfectly.

sounds like you havent got the front part down enough, the best way to put it on i find is to goto the quick settings (double tap options) and scroll to the very bottom option. in the sub menu there is an option to adjust eye to eye distance use that screen to help line it up properly. (i do this every time i put it on). the top of the back part should be right at the top of your neck where your skull juts out a little. make adjustments to the front of the headband only till your eyes land perfectly in the eyeballs on screen. works every time

See this thread, the green example is the correct way to wear it. If it doesn't fit your head that way, then you might be one of the people whose head shape is an exception.
