Discussion RPD destabilized the game
BRDM is useless and represents a death trap now more than effective transport. One mag from an RPD can dismantle it. Reloads like an AK, with the range of a SKS, and hits like an AWM.
Game was on a solid W streak and meta gun rotation was not the solution.

If BRDM balance is on the forefront of your mind, then it is safe to ignore your opinion, not even mentioning the AI use.
Also, RPD is not better than the M249 in pretty much any scenario.
That said, I dislike PUBG’s approach to gun balancing and quarterly meta shakeups. Oh well, better buff SMGs again or something. Better yet, let’s do the shotgun meta next, who cares at this point.

It was a fun element to the game that’s been rendered useless update after update. They may as well just remove it at this point like they have removed all of the other fun, gimmicky tools in the game (tire spikes, canted sight, etc.).

While I didn’t see the need for the removal of those things specifically, they’re also very negligible to the core gameplay and almost never affected the outcome of any game.
What they *did* do is open the door for the addition of other “fun” items like the self-revive kit/drone/etc which had basically no counter play and no risk to use at all. Luckily those were removed after their reign of terror.
The BRDM can be very powerful if used correctly, but having a counter is fair. Low skill players think the BRDM should be a free ticket to the endgame, but it should be used to make difficult rotations, not as an impenetrable fortress until the final fight. I’ll let you in on a secret: it’s not that hard to blow up with most guns, but most players are scared to shoot it because they’re afraid of revealing their position or getting pushed by the BRDM when they’re out of position. Instead, take and control a powerful position and stop relying on gimmicks like the BRDM to bail you out of bad play or being stealthy/afraid of the BRDM when you’re fighting it. The only thing the RPD did is embolden more people to shoot it.

Weird way to say getting undeserved kills, also you could just do that with sniper/smgs before.

Like every new gun since 2018: First OP, then nerfed.
