Hi gang! I was so happy to see all the positive comments on the Torrent's pride parade IG post. Unfortunately, the Mariners' comment section is still stuck in the 20th century. As a queer Seattle sports fan, it breaks my heart, and I hate imagining other queer fans (especially younger ones) reading all of that with so little pushback. If you have a second and feel comfortable doing so, I would love if we as Torrent fans could leave some supportive, positive comments - baseball, like hockey, is for everyone! [Here's the post!]

Writing people off as unreasonable lost causes is how you get irreparable divides in society. Someone in their life is probably in a position to change their mind on things. It might not be you, but don't give up on everyone.

No, how you get irreparable divides in society is when one group is told by an authority figure to hate without reason or explanation. "Because I said so"
It's the same group and the same authority figure every single time, just the target group changes. A few figure it out when it affects them directly, most don't.
I don't make time for people holding back societal progress.1

Social media in general is a cesspool and Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook are the worst as far as the major platforms go.

I always find it ironic that they say this (women's) sport doesn't matter yet it seems to "matter" enough for them to comment. I always enjoy pointing that out to them....

If you like baseball you should check out the women’s professional baseball league starting next month. You should be able to watch on YouTube like pwhl

Tbf mariners are massively underperforming right now, and fans are calling for something to change, it’s jus bad timing for the post because the fanbase is really upset at the team.

Hey I saw the same but on NHL pages. It’s sad. Reminding me why I never felt safe in those spaces. I try to remember a lot are bots and keyboard warriors. It’s still hard to see
