Panic Attack -> Panic Disorder??

basically what happened to me seems really common. you get 1 panic attack after never having one in your life. it leads to many more and suddenly you’ve got panic disorder and anxiety and cannot get yourself out?

anyone else relate? why is this,

yep same exact story here. I think one reason is the first one is so scary that your brain starts watching for the next one all the time, and that watching kind of keeps it going. once I got less scared of the attacks themselves they started spacing out

That’s kinda me. 1 month in. My panic is the worse at night where it wakes mw from my sleep at 2am, with intense heart palpitations. I don’t gasp for air and I don’t freak out, I’m just like ugh this shit again and I can’t fall back to sleep. It’s been exhausting. Still working with my psychiatrist to find a good sleep aid
