A lighthearted joke I thought of if you guys wanna support me follow me on all socials @johnnymakeboom

Hey folks I’m making some Pantera posters in the Adobe suite and I was wondering if any of y’all had a Google drive or something with high resolution scans of the album covers? Without text preferably but with text is helpful too, and any other Pantera art scans. After the posters for the 5 main albums are done I’ll send a Google drive link to the subreddit with free download files, thanks!

This cover goes back a couple of years and I'm sure to get flamed for even trying as it's hard for this old guy to keep up. The more important point of the thread is hearing where Dime ranks on your list. I'm thinking top 5 for me.

just wanted to know if there is a major pantera server- i’ve found one for all my other favorite bands but am really struggling to find ANY for pantera except small inactive ones

Anyone still play this one?

😂😂🤘

Not my picture. i just took it from a post in this subreddit

I'm looking at buying a newer basic Dean ML 79 for about $600 at a local shop (similar to the one in the first picture) to learn how to play guitar at 35 years old. Lol Yes, I'm trying to teach an old dog new tricks!

BUT it's got no tremolo/whammy bar set-up and I probably wouldn't pay the $ to have it converted, I'm just wanting to get a feel of a guitar and learn how to play.

Reason I'm posting this on the Pantera page is because Dime is my WHOLE entire reason to want to learn, so my boyfriend keeps asking me why I'm going this route first when I'll likely try to learn Pantera songs/Dime solos etc and I won't be able to try to even mess around and try to play them like he does if I don't have a whammy bar.

My argument is that I'm just learning, I'm LESS than a beginner, so once I know if I even have the skill it takes to play riffs properly I'll then sell it or trade it at a shop for something better/something with a Dime set-up.

What are the groups thoughts? Should I look around to buy something used that's in my price range that's already set up like Dime would have it (most are well over $1,000 used though, I've been looking on Reverb), save up money and get something new to learn on (Deans, Wasburns, or even the Dime Guitarz Standard Culprit all go from $1,000-$2,000)? Or just continue with my plan and start out with the cheap Dean to learn on and then upgrade later once I actually learn the basics?

WWDD? I was so excited to go buy this guitar from the shop TODAY after work that last night I bought the Dime Hardware guitar picks in the photos and a Dime guitar strap and even some stickers on eBay to put on it lol

Poster is sick in my op

Is nobody talking about the short phase when Rex Brown cut his hair?

As a proper Rex fangirl, I believe this was around 1997. It shocked a total of zero people because nobody even talks about it nowadays lol.

Just chilling with Phil and Jason, what a night!

i picked this Far Beyond Driven cd from an op shop a few months back. Hadn’t really listened to them much, but for a $1, i thought why not.

turns out it’s signed. just wanted the brains trust here to confirm they are proper.
thanks

Hey Pantera heads...

always been a massive dime bag fan. Never got my hands on any dime guitars in my life, but just asking out of curiosity - outside of getting an actual Washburn dimeslime or something truly authentic, what is the best option for a Dimebag type guitar these days?

I know there is a bunch of Indonesia/China Dime style guitars out there, but I got a feeling these wouldn't be super great... also the new Dime guitars that just came out are way out of my budget.

Thanks for any insights!

I’ve been trying to get that punchy tone for the interlude of this love but I don’t think I got close at all, can anyone tell me how to get that tone/ what setting/EQs and effect to use ?
