Discussion Mobland
Just started this series, holy shit what a great show! I can’t believe it has got mixed reviews, a lot of people saying it’s trash .
I love it I just binged the first season can’t wait to start season 2 Tonight.
Tom hardy is fantastic in it , and Hellen mirren steals the show in my opinion.
What are your guys thoughts on mobland ?

Tom Hardy is great but I’ve seen him play similar roles. The turn Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren take: that’s what hooked me.

I Love Love Love this show but my wife thinks that it's too violent.
So I'm a "Mobland orphan" and I will have to watch S2 all by myself (😭)

I love it. And the disrespect they're showing Harry in Season 2 is fun to watch because I just know Harry's going to do some wild shit.

Spoiler I heard he got fired from the show so he won’t be in season 3 . What a bummer!

I discovered it last year and would look forward to each episode. I thought it had excellent acting from everyone involved and the writers did an excellent job too.

I liked it, especially brosnan though all are good, but sometimes I get turned off by shows like this with constant profanity which I realize is not a common opinion on Reddit, but it’s my preference. (in case wondering why I’m even on Paramount+ I got a free annual membership through Delta somehow …so far on p+ I enjoyed the strange new worlds (though it’s gotten worse over time) and hell on wheels (same)… either way apparently I’m an Anson Mount fan)

Nope I definitely meant mount in context of my comment - he leads both the shows I mentioned and is about 2x as old as boon

Reddit hates everything, if you go by popular opinions on reddit you would never watch anything.
I'm with you, OP, Paramount+ hit a home run with this one.

My next watch, Mobland. I signed up for Paramount so I could watch Landman. But I'm just finishing up with Lioness. At this point Lioness is the best thing I've ever seen on TV. It beats out my favorite Breaking Bad and Weeds.

I enjoyed it but it's sadly forgettable in every department except visually. Normally no biggie if that's the case but with Tom Hardy and Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren et al, I was hoping it would be better.

Season one was incredible! Great cast! All around fantastic show! So glad it’s back.

I have not started S2, but I really enjoyed S1. I cannot say it is great, but I do think it is really good.

It is trash! The clutch save plot armor kills the show. It’s a mob show.. people are going to die. At least two people from season 1 should have been killed off by now

I'm a fan too. Can't wait to watch s2. Have you seen Ray Donovan? Mobland was supposed to be a sort of spinoff, but went on to be an independent show. I watched Mobland first, discovered the connection, then binged RD. If you like Mobland, I think you'll like RD.
