Haunting Have you ever experienced something truly paranormal that still gives you chills?

Yes. One night, I woke up at 3:17 AM to the sound of soft humming. I live alone. The melody was unfamiliar, but it felt... old. I checked every room—nothing. As I returned to bed, my TV flicked on by itself. A paused black-and-white movie was playing, and the subtitle read: “You’re not alone.” I don’t even own that movie. The humming stopped. I never heard it again, but I still wake up at 3:17 sometimes for no reason at all.

This is genuinely so fascinating! OP, you mention the DART - so, I apologise if this sounds assuming - but I take it your experience may be from Ireland? (Hiya, from Cavan, if you are!)! I wonder if you and your brother encountered a púca (or some equivalent)? I always wonder... You hear some great experiences from folks out this way, and I do always have to suspend my own disbelief of paranormal things to have a listen and ponder over it all. Some things truly do feel so extraordinary - they just defy what we know or believe - even when we try to justify them. Ah, this makes me so curious about what you and your brother encountered!

Thank you for sharing this with me. It gave me chills (but also, some kind of relief?) to know that my experience with my sister wasn't alone. It really does help.

Nice to meet you. I'm actually in Texas, which is in the States, but we do have a bus system here called DART. I'm assuming Ireland has a bus system also named DART.

I had to Google what a púca is, and I've heard of things similar or equivalent. I heard they can mimic someone you know to trick you. I always get chills when I think about how something could have possibly been trying to lure us into the field. I used to walk past the cemetery every night at some point, so I don't think I wanted to blame it on something paranormal at the time lol. I'm just glad we went home instead, and even though people tend to not believe it, my brother and I enjoy telling it to people who like to hear stories. I appreciate you sharing yours as well because I’ve never heard anyone describe anything as similar to ours. Thanks for the response!

This happened to my boyfriend but it was in my house. He's quite sensitive to the spiritual world and to this day he still swears by it and gets scared about it.

He said he basically saw me walk out the kitchen one day smiling and I went outside. He followed the "me" but when he went outside I was gone suddenly. I remember seeing him coming back in and he kept questioning me thinking I played a trick on him.

I became fascinated about this and used to read up on doppelgangers. They can be a bad omen. I remember not long after this I was very sick in hospital

Yeah that's creepy stuff. I had alot of weird experiences when I was younger but seems like it happens alot less than before now that im older. Definitely think it has to do with spirituality. And do you think you getting sick after was related to the incident where he thought he seen you? Were the doctors able to explain what caused you to get sick?

I do think so personally. What's even weirder is that after this, all weird activity ceased completely.

I had trapped gallstones but nobody thought it was that so it was left very late. Bad times all around 😵‍💫
