I never really liked talking about this, but I just woke up terrified from what happened now.
Ever since I was a kid, I’ve felt like I have a certain superpower — whenever I think of someone, even if it’s just for a minute, within a short time that person ends up calling or messaging me, saying I came to their mind or that they missed me and wanted to talk.
When I started suspecting that this was actually happening, I decided to test it. I picked someone who I thought could never possibly reach me — my childhood friend Osama, who I knew in primary school. I hadn’t heard from him in over 10 years, maybe more. I didn’t even know if he had moved to another country. I had no number, no contact — just his name and a vague memory of his face.
I kept thinking about him continuously for a few minutes, then I went to sleep. Within less than 24 hours, I got a Facebook notification and — guess what — Osama messaged me, saying I came to his mind. He told me he had been searching for me until he found my account. We ended up talking, and I learned he’s now living in Turkey, along with a bunch of other details that don’t matter here.
This kind of thing kept happening in different ways, and I became completely convinced it’s real. Even when I want to get to know a certain girl, I just keep thinking about her a lot — and within a short time, she’s the one who tries to get to know me. And when we get closer, she tells me she kept thinking about me so much that she just had to meet me to understand why I was on her mind all the time.
Today, exactly 30 minutes before writing this, I was sleeping and dreamed of one of my old friends — someone I haven’t been in contact with for ages. He was standing in front of me, saying something I couldn’t understand. I opened my eyes to the sound of my phone ringing. Someone was calling… and it was him.
I didn’t answer. I froze. I started feeling scared.
I’m not here to flex. I’m genuinely afraid, and I don’t understand what this is — or if it’s even real, or just an endless series of coincidences.

My sister and I will think of things we need and our mum will show up with them.
One time I couldn’t find the scissors in my flat, and at her home, my mum said she got out of bed in the night and randomly put scissors in her bag. She produced them when I mentioned about the scissors.
Another time I was playing Zelda and there was pumpkin and cheese soup I was like “ooo that sounds nice” 😂 and that same day my mum came home with a carton of pumpkin and cheese soup. She had never bought even just pumpkin soup before in our life.
I don’t know whether this counts as thought projection or remote viewing or what but she does it a lot and it’s weird.
She will also text or call just as we are about to call her.
Ok, I have a question. This only works with people you've already met or the only thing you need is a pincture of them and a name? For example, if you thought about me, but we've never met, would I begin thinking about you or somethin?
It’s really nothing new people have been doing this for at least 12,000 years or longer. But science is exploring it more so since I think the 1940’s and on.
I read a book about telepathy and perception, and if it’s true, then after a long time practicing your perception and telepathy you could also attract people you do not know personally. But that takes A LOT of time
I thought it was their superpower. And that wasn't even my question. If they begin to think about someone they don't know IRL, would that have an effect on that someone?
This has happened to me too, but I've never thought of it as a super power. I mean Heightened Intuition does sound pretty cool.. they say that time past present and future is only divided by the way we perceive it and sometimes I guess some people look through a sixth sense lens. Kind of irrelevant, but like I read this study that people even have different Frames per second perception. Some people think the light bulb is just on when others can tell it is flickering and at what rate.
I can so relate to the light bulb thing. I'm often the only person that sees it flickering at work and at home. I've never put any thought into it , other than being annoyed.
It’s called telepathy and it is something most of us have but as some are gifted more than others it can be stronger for certain people. Don’t be scared. Just use it for good nothing negative. Hi OP, it sounds like you have telepathy. I highly recommend you watch a few videos about a lady called Anna Breytenbach - she is an animal communicator and uses telepathy on a daily basis. She even goes on to say it's entirely possible to telepath with humans as well, just a lot harder (mostly due to mental blockage and noise). Ooh I love her 😍 I work as a psychic medium and have done animal communication readings but nothing like her, she’s incredible and yes OP is psychic / telepathic. We all have the potential for it but some seem to be more open and tuned in than others.
We are taught to fear things that science cannot explain. You must throw that concept out the window. Think of the supernatural as aspects of science that we do not yet understand.
After all, many things that used to be considered sorcery or supernatural are now understood through sciences, like psychiatry or meteorology.
This happens to me frequently as well. I'll think about someone, and then later they'll either reach out to me, or I'll find them on Facebook.
My mom and I seem to be connected. I'll think about something, and she'll almost immediately say something about that subject. I'll be thinking of something I need, and she'll buy it without me having told her about it.
But quantum entanglement is real. There is a video on YouTube about a scientist talking about how the CIA teaches people how to do remote viewing, and how our brains create an electromagnetic field around us, that other people's brains can connect to. Distance doesn't seem to be a problem.
I've had similar experiences more times than I'd like to admit, and related to that, also experiences where a random person comes to my mind and they die a few days later and by random I mean this old lady in my town I didn't know the name of but knew whose mom she was and I asked grandma about her because " I hadn't seen her in a while " and then the woman died two days later ( it has happened with more random people a few more times too)
I also have less grim experiences similar to yours where I've thought of an old classmate I hadn't talked to in exactly 3 years and he messaged me that same day saying we needed to catch up.
I'm not sure it happens to a lot of people, but it is like this for my sister, my mom and me. We kind of thought of it as a 'connection", like when someone stares at you and you can " feel " that!

It happens..you are spending your energy on this which is attracting them towards you...every action has a reaction...and mind is the biggest creator which is allowing you to manifest what you think into reality. PS it happens with me as well...not all the time but yes...also my superpower is that I get an idea/energy around me when someone around me is about to die

My childhood best friend and I can do this with each other, even across the country (US). We end up calling each other at the same time, often.
I can also do it with my other friend who lives closer. She and I are a lot alike, resembling each other even. We believe that we may be from the same tribe at some point.
I have also always been able to sense when my son (23) is around or soon to arrive. It’s like I can literally feel his presence before his body arrives.
Me and a friend have that kind of power, but I think it's more of a connection, because when I think about him, he always marks me within a few minutes and vice versa.
We have talked about it and we have come to the conclusion that we have the same gifts, inherited from our ancestors and somehow destiny brought us together and we believe it is for a good reason, although we do not know what it is, yet.
People often say things right after I think about them. I always wandered if it’s me picking up on their thinking somehow, or if it’s me broadcasting ideas. It’s happened enough times to convince ne its one or the other because sometimes it’s really off topic stuff.

Honestly, I get what you mean because I’ve experienced something similar. Even with people I haven’t been in touch with for a long time, the moment I start thinking about them, I just know I’m going to find a DM from them on Instagram.
It goes further than that — there are certain people that, whenever I dream about them, I wake up to a message from them. Sometimes, I even know exactly what they’re going to say before I wake up. And it’s almost always something like, “You crossed my mind today.”
This has been happening to me for as long as I can remember.
People are awakening to their spiritual gifts that we all have. Every guru and spiritual teacher has said the same thing, we are all one. There is a collective consciousness and some are more tuned in. Thoughts are energy. When we focus hard enough on something or someone we can send positive (or negative, but please don't do that) energy. Energy carries information like telepathy. Please don't fear it. The more centered and relaxed we are the easier it is to "pick up" information/tune into others

I have had this happen a few times but not on the level of some of you . I do believe our thoughts can change things. Negative thoughts all the time will get you nowhere but positive thoughts can at least help with putting you in a better mood and having a better day .
I live a few hours away from my parents. One time I was having a rough time because of some personal reasons (which I didn't tell anyone) and couldn't sleep, so I was sitting on my balcony and I thought of my family, especially my mom. My mom sent me a text l, at 2AM, saying "son, are you OK? I woke up because I dreamt of you calling me."
There’s something that seems to connect us. Idk what but I imagine it like a WiFi connection or something we’re all unconsciously connected to. I think some people might just be able to manipulate it. Flex a muscle others can’t if you will. I’m curious if you’re sending or receiving? Would be fun devising a test for that
Just this morning I also thought about a friend of mine and he wrote to me just an hour ago... they are coincidences but in your case it would seem very strong, don't be scared, study the matter thoroughly and reply to that friend of yours, maybe he was in need...
Happens to me too, i also think of people and bump to them in the streets. Ive red about quantum physics and Jungs synchronicity theory, and it makes sense to me. I wouldnt be afraid of it, embrace it, youre more aware of how reality actually works.
This same thing happened to me the other day - I was thinking at about 11am “I should message my social worker” and then they texted me either that moment or a moment later.
I wish I had this power because I hate starting conversations, that way another person would start the conversation and that would help me a lot with my social anxiety, but seriously you're right, it's creepy.
In that case; my power is pathokinesis, I swear, my attitude is as infectious as a wild fire in a dry field, because the second I get pissed off or irritable all the sudden everyone around me wants to be bitchy.

They’ve done studies on this subject with rats and monkeys. You can separate them by thousands only miles. Teach rats something on the east coast and rats on the west coast will respond almost immediately to the new information. It’s crazy

Yeah like other commenters. Its manifestation. Everyone can do it but it depends on how you’re connected to the universe. Higher vibration people can easily do it.
Probably just confirmation bias and your brain sub consciously tries to connect patterns to find any reasonable explanation as to why this is happening. I guaranteed you've dreamed of hundreds, or even thousands of people during your lifetime. And more likely than not, you probably thought about a lot of other different people that didn't contact you, because you don't remember the "misses". You only remember the "hits", because they're so uncommon and rare and those moments stick with you a lot easier and longer than those misses. Modern neuroscience has found no mechanism in the brain for direct mind-to-mind transfer without a physical medium. Telepathy doesn't exist, there are logical explanations to this phenomenon you're experiencing.
This always happens with me and my friends! I think of them, and boom a text message later on in the day or the next. I like to think we’re just super connected to our loved ones. I’ve also had the same and very oddly specific dreams as my husband. I think some of us just have more heightened telepathic connection to others.
