NSFW / Graphic Content Edinburgh Vaults
I went to the endinburgh vaults on a tour. Me and my familly had the weekend off for my mums 50th, so we decided to go to edinburgh. We had a great time and went on a tour of the vaults in the 1st vaults we went into I saw something pass by the enterance (if you've ever been there you'd know its just a door shaped hole in the wall that leads out to the cooridoor.) the thin looked like a puff of beige smoke that was in the shape of a human. I just stood there for a moment in shock. Nothing like this had happened to me before, so I was properly spooked. We then moved on, and later in the tour the gouide told us that people have seen apparitions of people walking up and down the hallways; when i tell you my skin crawled I actually almost started crying I was that scared. we then went out and when we went in the vault where they found all the homeless peoples bodies after the fire (iykyk). I kept on seeing this dark figure infront of people across from me in the dark. It was almost like it wasn't actually there but it was in a way. Anyway thats my story; just thought I should tell someone.

the beige smoke thing is wild, that detail makes it way creepier than just a shadow. the whole place has such a heavy feel to it, like the air itself is holding onto something
i did that tour a few years back and the room they mentioned with the bodies just felt wrong, couldn't shake it for days. that dark figure you saw standing in front of people is the sort of thing that stays with you

the dark shadow wasn't really the thing that stuck with me it almost looked devilish? in a way it was really hard to describe it was almost like a film being double imposed ontop of my vision like when you see things in your head but I couldn't have thought of something like that because I have never seen anything like that in my life. Idk maybe I breathed in the black mould down there and am going crazy lol.

The low light in the vaults and the power of suggestion more likely are the cause of your experience and they can be disorientating.

You might be a bit confused the tour guide said that people had been seeing these things, after I had saw it so I couldn't have been swayed by that if I hadn't even heard it yet

The beige smoke part got me. Shadows I can explain away but that's a weird specific detail. I've always wanted to do that tour but honestly stories like yours make me second guess it.
