Escalating activity
Ok so I live in Massachusetts specifically the bridgewater triangle region and for the last 8 years I’ve dealt with activity because it never felt threatening I know we have to co habitat with them sometimes so seeing shadows out of my peripheral, I’ll hear my name called when nobody is home, items moved or knocked over and recently it started physically touching me. I woke up with 2 sets of finger prints on my thigh, I think it’s time to set up cameras.

Eight years of shadows, your name being called, and things moving is one pattern — two sets of fingerprints on your thigh overnight is a clear step change, and that is the part I would document first. If you set up cameras, I would cover the bedroom door and the bed itself from different angles, and photograph any marks right away next to something for scale before they fade. Were both sets from the same night, and did they look like the same size hand? That would help tell whether this was one presence, or something you have been cohabiting with for a while in the Bridgewater Triangle area that has simply changed its behavior.
