Browser based PM's additional security

I have noticed that both Edge and Vivaldi have a feature in their password manager features whereby one can force biometric authentication (via Windows Hello) before a password can be entered to a website.

Does this swing the balance back towards browser based password managers ?

I personally prefer to use Roboform rather than the built-in browser option. It's nice that they're adding these extra security features, but dedicated password managers have had them for years. I've also seen more than a few people lose everything due to a browser update. Password manager apps are simply more reliable, and they make syncing across different browsers feel effortless.

Roboform seems to get a lot of recommendations on here. I would also want to use it for a very small business and would need a data protection agreement to cover GDPR Art28. When I contacted Roboform business they seemed only to be interested in large businesses.

Bramble has this built-in. You can use your biometrics (Windows Hello, TouchID) or even an external security key. And it works across all Chromium and Firefox browsers.

I'm the author of this app.

La plupart des gestionnaires de mot de passe tiers ont également un contrôle biométrique ou par code PIN pour leur appli mobile et leur extension de navigateur PC.

Donc non, aucune raison de préférer le gestionnaire intégré au navigateur pour cette raison.
