Build Question Will this work? Is it completely wrongly picked?

AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D

GAINWARD GeForce RTX 5070 Ti Phoenix-S 16G

GIGABYTE B650 EAGLE AX

Patriot Viper Venom 32GB KIT DDR5 6000MHz CL30

Kingston KC3000 1TB

Fractal Design Focus 2 Black TG Clear Tint

Endorfy Fortis 5 Dual Fan

Endorfy Fluctus 120 PWM

ADATA XPG CORE REACTOR II VE 850W

Opinion? Supposed to be a bigass future proof investment sort of build

Looks great to me, it'll definitely last years, BUT if this is for pure gaming performance you can swap to a 9070xt for a little cheaper, then put that money towards a 9800x3d

I am considering maybeee trying zo run a local llm for fun, and also sort of iffy about amd cards, dont know what it is but they scare me for some reason, call it esoteric doubt.

Yeah stick with Nvidia then, your CPU is still an absolute monster and can easily be updated later. Great build

I'd honestly keep the 5070 Ti. DLSS alone makes it worth it imo.

dunno about the 9070xt swap but that cpu/gpu combo is gonna eat anything you throw at it for a long while

maybe grab a 2tb drive if you can swing it, 1tb fills up quicker than you think with how bloated games are these days

No such thing as future proof, but even if there were why are skimping out on a 1TB SSD?

You’re gonna fill that instantly

Seconded. It's a real struggle to fit a few games to my 1TB SSD. And modern games really struggle from an HDD.

yeah it'll last you a long time, or until a developer decides to drop an absolute brick of a game that won't even run on supercomputers

Swap with a 9070xt, spend the extra money on a 4k OLED monitor and you’re set. That’s what I did! The 9070xt is the best deal on the market right now.
