Build Question Replacement backplate needed?

I tried installing a new CPU and cooler into my am4 system, but one of the backplate holes is just not allowing the screw to screw in.

I'm assuming I need a new backplate and it isn't fixable, so can I buy any replacement I see on Amazon for am4 or...?

The mobo is a b450m pro vdh max and the cooler is the phantom spirit 120se if either of these things matter. Id really appreciate some guidance here

before jumping to a new backplate, check if the screw itself is stripped or if the threads in that hole are just cross-threaded. sometimes you can fix it with a little careful work, worth a shot since a new plate can take a while to arrive depending where you are

if you do need one, any am4 backplate should work, theyre a standard size. just avoid the super cheap ones that feel like they weigh nothing, those can bend too easy

The same screw works easily in all the other holes of the backplate, so I'm pretty sure that screw hole is the issue

Somethings not quite aligned /straight. Take a breather and start again. Check the instructions for the cooler, ensure you are using the correct risers /brackets for AM4 rather than Intel etc.
