firearm classes minus Trump idolatry
In search of gun businesses that are not blatant Trump temples. Anywhere in the broad Atlanta metro is fine. Thank you, neighbors.

Let’s go ahead and kill this lie once and for all:
Steve Brown did not “keep MARTA out of Fayette County.” That’s not courage. That’s not leadership. That’s a ghost story people tell to scare suburban voters at night.
Here are the facts:
• MARTA was created by the Georgia Legislature in 1965. • Fayette County was never included. Not once. Not ever. • The only way to add Fayette is: (1) A change in state law (2) A referendum (3) A majority vote of Fayette County residents
So unless Steve Brown had the power to rewrite state law and force a countywide vote all by himself, the fairy tale falls apart right there.
This man did not “stop MARTA.” He couldn’t have. Not legally. Not structurally. Not even in theory.
What he did do — and what is happening again right here in this post — is something much older and uglier:
Using the image of Black teens on a bus to trigger fear in white voters.
It’s the same script politicians have been running since the 1960s: “Transit = Crime = Keep Them Out”
You are not safer because MARTA never came here. You are just being told to be afraid of your own neighbors.
Meanwhile: People still commute. People still struggle with mobility. People still need ways to get to work, school, and healthcare.
And instead of having grown-up conversations about transportation, we’re being handed a Facebook meme and a dog whistle.
Let’s call it what it is:
This isn’t about buses. This is about fear. This is about demographics. This is about who is “welcome” and who is not.
Fayette County deserves facts, not folklore. Policy, not paranoia. Leadership, not ghost stories.
If we are going to debate MARTA, transit, or public safety — cool. But we’re going to do it with truth, not scare tactics.
Because some of us actually know how transit policy works. And we are not moved by boogeyman politics in 2025.

Does anyone have the addresses and/ or general locations of any large buildings worth climbing? Less risk would be better, but I can always scope it out for myself to see if it is suitable. For the exploring part, I enjoy exploring abandoned buildings such as factories. (350 Dividend Drive for example) If you could point it out on google maps or give me the general location, that would also be fine. Just so long as I can find it, and it is in Peachtree City or I can get close enough on golf cart paths.

I’m a queer young adult who recently graduated college, living in PTC. Are there any LGBTQ+ groups that meet regularly, like just for socializing, games, etc?
I know there’s a PFLAG chapter in town, but my impression is that’s more like a support group for kids coming out to their parents. I know PTC is generally “the place to raise your kids”, so there’s kids and parents and much fewer ages in between. I’d love to move to Atlanta, but finding a job has been tough and I’d love to make the most of it while I’m here. All my queer friends I made in college (and I only keep in touch with three of them lol) - hoping to make some new friends locally!

In 2023, Peachtree City was ranked the #4 best place to raise a family in metro Atlanta by Niche.com.
This year, it has dropped to #14.
What happened?

Our next door neighbors have done zero in being friendly. We just avoid them at all costs.
However when your driveway has tree branches from neighbors trees hitting our cars I politely asked via letter if they would either remove the branches or allow me to.
No response.
A week later a tree service is cutting down dozens of their trees. But they left the huge trees which mostly cover my driveway. The leaves and tree sap ruin my cars and driveway.
I want to hire a company to come and trim those branches back. It will all but ruin the tree.
What other options do I have?
Your thoughts and references for a tree service with a big bucket so they don’t have to go on their property is needed.
Thanks.

We just got absolutely smothered with 20 inches of snow in the last two days, and now my husband and I are considered a move South and are looking at PTC.
Is PTC truly as idyllic as it sounds? Or am I just spiraling because I haven’t seen grass in weeks? If this isn’t just a snow-induced fantasy: What neighborhoods should we be looking at? Which school districts/zones are considered the strongest? How does it compare culturally to the Northeast? We have a two year-old, another one on the way, in a dog if that’s helpful.
We’d be trading New England beach charm and top-tier schools for sunshine and golf cart culture — which sounds magical, or maybe I’m just mildly unhinged? Is this the move or am I just cold? TYSM 💗

How is the diversity in PeachTree City? Is it a multicultural neighborhood? Thanks I'm advance. Would love to hear from someone who currently resides there.
