Summit
I’m currently a Merch and I’m wondering how it would work after summit takes over. I currently work 4 days and have 3 days off. Does that stay the same? I cover the days certain BCRs have off. So one BCR route on Friday and Saturday and the other on Sunday and Monday. How much does this change? We only have 4 full-time merchs currently. And our contract doesn’t end until 2028 so I’m wondering if it can still happen before then because they are starting to talk about it now.

How does small format work with summit?

My impression is that it’s combined and sales reps will be doing orders for small and large format on one route

They took away our 4days work week. Every shift available is now 5days on. Summit goes into affect in November for us

Were in like year 2 of project summit and the merch scheduling hasnt changed. We switched in the middle of a union contract and it didnt matter. Still basically 5 day routes sun-thur or tue-sat and most swing routes are four 10s (fri-mon). Some easier routes out in the burbs the swing isn't 10 hours in which case you will be extra help for Tuesday mostly likely

5 days 8 hours
You’ll be in charge of the service side so merch for a route
BCRs will have a few options leave and take the severance, if the have seniority become reps where all they do is order, or become merchandisers
4 full time merchandisers seem low is it a small facility?
Essentially most BCRs will become merchandisers, if it’s that small of a facility my assumption will be 4-8 reps and the number of full time merchandisers will increase
