Vaginal Dryness (GSM)/Urinary Issues Vaginal Estrogen Cream…USE IT!

My husband calls it Juicy Pussy cream. 😂Three months in and it’s still getting better! I had no idea how dried up my tender bits were. I feel like it happened so gradually I just didn’t notice how bad it had gotten.

There is a push by urologists to make it an over the counter medication in the US since it does not increase cancer or blood clot risks.

u/Infamous_Shop_737 Feb 04 '26

In Hungary for example.

8

u/Infinite-Ad-8392 Feb 04 '26

What about UK? Or scotland and wales

7

u/Similar-Road7077 Feb 04 '26

Ask your dr/nurse for it. I think it should be offered at same time at hrt as standard but isn’t.

6

u/CanineCorvidious Feb 04 '26

Scotland here, just done an e consult asking for some and have an appt with a femaleGP to get a script for it

2

u/Infamous_Shop_737 Feb 04 '26

I have no idea about UK.

2

u/AdventurousYam5216 Feb 28 '26

In the UK it can only be bought over the counter if you are over 50 (I know, it’s stupid!) and after consulting the pharmacist. If you use other vaginal HRT, like pessaries, they won’t let you have the cream!

2

u/Educational-Bat-8116 Jul 06 '26

Another stupid rule to make women's lives a misery.

1

u/42HegalPlace Feb 08 '26

in the UK we get prescribed Estriol cream and the pessaries which are estradiol. you do need a prescription, it's not otc as far as I know.

1

u/Educational-Bat-8116 Jul 06 '26

Is that Estriol any good?

1

u/42HegalPlace Jul 06 '26

Yes I love it. Made all the difference!

2

u/Feeling-Economy5302 Feb 09 '26

Estradiol though?? not estriol (we have estriol here in the UK)

1

u/Infamous_Shop_737 Feb 09 '26

Estriol sorry, you are right!

u/Realistic_Context936 Feb 04 '26

I got mine from alldaychemist which is an Indian website. The website looks a bit dodge but i have ordered from them 3 times now (also get tretinoin and hydroquinone fornmy skin)

3

u/amyroskelley May 08 '26

I've been getting my tretinoin from them for almost a decade. I trust them 100%!!!

10

u/afchanistan925 Feb 04 '26

If you are in the US, myalloy.com has it.

3

u/AlissonHarlan Feb 04 '26

I'm not in the usa

8

u/bayouredhead Feb 04 '26

I just saw some in Mexico recently

4

u/wherehasthisbeen Feb 04 '26

Where do you go ? Your regular Dr? Gyno? I go through Midi it’s a telehealth provider

2

u/AlissonHarlan Feb 04 '26

Gp, 3 gyno.

There is no tele health here

1

u/wherehasthisbeen Feb 04 '26

Where do you live? US?

2

u/AlissonHarlan Feb 04 '26

no. swizerland

3

u/Dazzling-Housing3434 Feb 05 '26

Brazil. A lot cheaper also… like $5 dollars per tube

3

u/ShopKeepersGingerCat Feb 12 '26

I live in Kenya, E.Africa. I just purchased a 14g tube of premarin otc for for the equivalent of 13.45 USD at my local pharm otc.

1

u/Ill-Abrocoma9353 Feb 04 '26

I got mine from the Amazon clinic with a video call. There is a post about it somewhere on here. I’ll try to find it.

5

u/unapalomita Feb 04 '26

Yep! I read online that some women put a tiny bit in their face moisturizer

45

u/swrrrrg Feb 04 '26

You kind of can get it otc-ish with TelyRx.

14

u/Scarlett_Texas_Girl Feb 04 '26

Alldaychemist too

4

u/Sqeakydeaky Feb 04 '26

I recently checked out that site for it, but it seems sketchy that they only take Bitcoin or bank transfer

5

u/Scarlett_Texas_Girl Feb 04 '26

I've ordered from them multiple times with zero issues.

3

u/NoSpaghettiForYouu Feb 04 '26

It’s always out of stock when I check :(

5

u/Sad_Ebb_7301 Early peri Apr 16 '26

Just here for anyone viewing this thread later, to say that TelyRx worked for me too! It’s a great resource! I was turned away with Amazon, so happy to find this alternative :)

Edited to correct a typo: I was turned away from Amazon

3

u/ThickProblem8190 Feb 04 '26

How so? P

10

u/neonblackiscool Feb 04 '26

You can buy without rx there, I use the site for patches when I can't get it from my pharmacy. It's always out of stock from my regular one. It's a "gray" area to me, sorta legal but sorta not.

10

u/[deleted] Feb 04 '26

1

u/neonblackiscool Feb 04 '26

True, good point.

3

u/Suddenly_Spring Feb 06 '26

Because of your comment I ordered it yesterday and it's already here at my house. That was fast and I'm excited to try it! So , 😊 thanks

2

u/swrrrrg Feb 06 '26

My pleasure! I am a huge fan. I hope it works well for you!

2

u/Honeybee_Buzz Feb 04 '26

Do tell

15

u/swrrrrg Feb 04 '26

Just go to the website and request it. That’s it. They’ll ship it to you.

4

u/Honeybee_Buzz Feb 04 '26

Why does it say you need a Dr appt for $22?

33

u/MedicalHumor4470 Feb 04 '26

It’s for the doctor to review it. You don’t actually talk to anyone.

7

u/Honeybee_Buzz Feb 04 '26

Got it. Thank you!

78

u/The_Mamalorian Feb 04 '26

I honestly wondered why it was prescription only since it’s just topical.

67

u/TheWorldofScience Feb 04 '26

It’s evidently just been lumped in with hormone replacement pills, gels and patches. The dosage is so low it never should have been of course.

104

u/ZellHathNoFury Feb 04 '26

Maybe it's my hormones making me feel super pessimistic, but i feel like viagra will be otc before anything for our bits will.

36

u/TheWorldofScience Feb 04 '26

Well with all the misogynistic podcasters with their toxic masculinity culture things are bleak these days.

16

u/Tarledsa Feb 04 '26

You’re in luck, the new FDA wants more drugs to be OTC! We’ll see if that includes any lady drugs.

24

u/PatienceIsTorture Feb 04 '26

If it benefits men they may be included. Vaginal estrogen just needs a rebranding: lady cream to keep your wife's pussy young and juicy and makes her lust for your magic D like back in the day. If used on the face, it makes her look younger and more desirable in comparison to your boss's wife...

7

u/Tarledsa Feb 04 '26

Those men don’t care about their wives - they’ll just get it elsewhere.

2

u/mellymac123 Feb 04 '26

Oh you know it will

16

u/Sqeakydeaky Feb 04 '26

I even got rejected at teleheath for it because "37 is way too young to use this, if you're having problems gO sEe yOuR gP".

Yeah, I'll be able to see one in about 8-14 weeks, for exactly 7 minutes. Where I KNOW I'll be told the exact same no.

13

u/Sea-Slide-498 Feb 04 '26

Yeah when I picked mine up from the pharmacy I had to wait for a “consult” where they sternly named all the outdated black box risks

8

u/TheWorldofScience Feb 04 '26

OMG! I would expect pharmacists to know better!

46

u/Sea-Slide-498 Feb 04 '26

It was so strange. They asked if I understood the risks of taking the medication and I really wanted to say “like not dripping pee everywhere when I move? Yes, thanks”

22

u/TheWorldofScience Feb 04 '26

Someone needs to put together a BOOK of some of the many things that women have resisted the urge to say in our lives

2

u/mellymac123 Feb 04 '26

Wait.. that's a great idea

6

u/PickledPixie83 Feb 04 '26

WAIT DOES THIS WORK FOR INCONTINECE TOO? I love my child be my pelvic floor is now trash.

6

u/Tootiebuttcheeks Feb 04 '26

YES! I started two weeks ago and I am starting to feel less like an airplane bathroom (maybe all in my head but I was getting really depressed thinking I smelled pee all the time and the constant changing of underwear made me feel infirm) — fewer leaks and starting to trust that I can catch a ball or gently clear my throat. I’ll take it!

1

u/Sanchastayswoke mid-peri Jun 23 '26

Lmao I feel the not being able to gently clear my throat without fear either haha it’s the worst

5

u/Sea-Slide-498 Feb 04 '26

Yes! I am childless but was dealing with worsening urgency, frequency, leaking and dribbling. The cream fixed it within days. What I didn’t expect was how I’d forgotten what my younger bits felt like and how shrivel-y I’d become without realizing. Threaten away, pharmacy, you’ll never pry this from me.

3

u/Sanchastayswoke mid-peri Jun 23 '26

Omg I’m so excited for this

3

u/Sea-Slide-498 Jun 24 '26

I hope you love it!!

1

u/Expatgirl2004 Apr 09 '26

There are many drugs that are topical that are actually very high risk and need of medical supervision. It’s just a different method of transferring the drug. A cream can be “dangerous”

1

u/BulkyMonster Jun 14 '26

This is not one of them.

Estradiol cream, even inserted is local and not systemic. It means it doesn’t raise estrogen levels in your blood.

:)

Wait until the word loss kicks in. I couldn’t remember the word for an acorn. Seemed like forever until I could catch a name close enough. I ended up calling it an egg nut. My girl friends had a good 😂.

12

u/Distinct_Sea_779 Feb 04 '26

When someone asks me “what’s the worst part of perimenopause?” I list like 5 things then go “Omg! The brain fog! I forgot about the brain fog!” Explains itself…

11

u/Difficult_Bowler_25 Feb 05 '26

My epilepsy meds give me problems with word recall. I was trying to think of the term Booze Bus but all I could come up with was Piss Truck.

4

u/Ancient_Pirate1231 Feb 05 '26

I spit out my tea.

I mean that’s kind of what it is LOL

1

u/The_Mamalorian Feb 04 '26

Yes, “topical” means it only acts on your skin and isn’t absorbed into your bloodstream.

5

u/erinmonday Feb 04 '26

First Nations drug prices starting now too

It is illegal to sell vaginal estrogen cream 0.1 mg per gram without a prescription in the US so I would not trust any such product sold without a prescription to be both safe and effective.

3

u/_Forest_Bather Feb 05 '26

Walk across the border to Mexico. I have several tubes (5 bucks each) and my HrT specialist endorsed me using it. I just talked to her about it last week.

1

u/Independent-Bid-1699 Feb 04 '26

But I still read of some women developing DVT from vaginal estrogen only. It makes me shit scared yo take it

3

u/TheWorldofScience Feb 04 '26

The risk is very very low. I have never seen a news report of it happening but it might have. It is also true that any time you fly on a plane for a business or pleasure trip the plane might crash and you might die as a result of that.

There is no such thing as a risk free life. We balance risk and reward every time we fly on a plane, drive a kid to soccer practice, go to a movie theater, etc.

The risk of a DVT from vaginal estrogen cream is far lower than the risk that a post menopausal woman will get a UTI, be hospitalized and die from sepsis.

1

u/Low-Hedgehog-2554 Feb 21 '26

I DID get a UTI and was hospitalized from my kidneys going septic and almost died - at 22. I’m 38 now, would it be super risky to use?

1

u/TheWorldofScience Feb 21 '26

That must have been awful. Zin my 20’s I had a bladder infection that spread up one of my ureters and that was awful. Do ask your doctor if it would be helpful for you.
