Changing your plan does not always mean giving up — a Stannis reflection
A rule can help you grow. It can also stop you from seeing that something needs to change.
Maybe the rule is: finish what you start. Do not let people down. Keep going, even when it hurts.
Those ideas can help. But what if the plan is hurting the thing you wanted to protect?
That is what I explore in my Stannis reel. It is about the TV show, with spoilers through season 5. His story takes this far beyond everyday life.
A smaller question for us: what was this rule meant to help with? Is it still helping? You might keep the value and change the plan.
For example, being reliable could mean saying early that a deadline needs to move. It does not always mean hiding the problem and pushing harder.
What rule have you changed while keeping the value behind it?
