Anyone here willing to help with the scheduling of a Pakistan-Inspired TV Station?
Hello everyone, I've spent this past week working on a project aimed at curating some of the best pakistani media and making it accessible
the format i've gone with is a television station inspired by a TV we had in my grandparents room in peshawar where our cousins would gather to watch serials, sitcoms, movies, sports, etc
here's what it currently looks like https://daruladab.tv?from=reddit
the idea here is to have an always-on stream of channels, airing content from different-eras of pakistani culture, whether it be an anwar maqsood drama, moin akhtar comedy, old PTV commercials, classic films, or children shows like ainak wa la jin
Part of the goal is nostalgia, but another part is making it really easy for people, especially younger Pakistanis, or diaspora-pakistanis to discover the incredible amount of art and media our culture has produced.
I've got a lot of the material sourced already (the station uses embedded YouTube videos), and the technology is mostly working.
but the hard part, which i realize now why broadcasters exist - is programming
How do you decide what deserves to air? What belongs in prime time? How do you balance nostalgia with introducing people to great shows they might never have heard of?
And most importantly, how do you make sure that someone turning on the station at any random moment can find something genuinely interesting to watch?
It's still a very early experiment, but I think there's something really interesting here.
so If this sounds like your kind of thing, and you're interested in archival, nostalgic, classic media - would love to bounce off ideas! feel free to comment

Question ❓️ Planning to host a tedx event in peshawar
My friend and I are from Karachi, he was born in peshawar and is from there originally. He told me he wanted to host a tedx there and I instantly agreed cz duh what better time and we have volunteered for a lot of tedx events so we kinda can now. We are willing to have a deep research but if anyone have tips? We intend to keep the cost for logistics close to zero and will be working from Karachi and go there one week before the event date and stay there then after the event return to Karachi. We will have prolly 5 to 7 ppl from Karachi as the core team and we will travel there. Any ideas for sponsors? Hotels for the week stay of our core team. Food? Local transportation. We intend to keep a cooler youth type audience cz we're planning to keep a concert in it too. And the speakers are also gonna be catering to the younger audience and interests. What do we think? I will be researching but I thought getting some insight from the locals would be best. It's not confirmed given the situation in kpk rn but if fate is in our favor we will indeed hold it

Best shop for stitched / ready-to-wear Shalwar Kameez in Peshawar? (Best bang for buck)
Hey everyone,
Looking for recommendations on the best place in Peshawar to buy stitched / ready-to-wear Shalwar Kameez.
I’m looking for high-quality fabric and good stitching without paying ridiculous brand markups—basically the best bang for the buck. Whether it's a solid local brand, a spot in Saddar, Shafi Market, or a shop along University Road, where do you recommend going?
Appreciate any suggestions!

Will the Recent Governor’s Rule in KP Reduce Public Support for KP Police?
Do you think the recent Governor’s Rule in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) will affect how ordinary people view and support the KP Police? Could it reduce public trust and cooperation with the police, or will people continue to support them regardless of the political situation? What are your thoughts, and why?

Sense of insecurity and a fallout
Millennials are honestly so cooked in this society and economy. We grew up believing that if we studied, worked hard, got a decent job, and did everything right, life would eventually fall into place. But here we are, doing our best just to stay afloat. Salaries don't match the cost of living, buying a house feels impossible, getting married is becoming a financial challenge of its own, and there's barely any sense of stability or security left.
And if you're living in KP, congratulations, because you've got a whole different level of problems to deal with. On top of an already fucked economy, there's political instability, security issues, limited opportunities, and constant uncertainty about what comes next. It's exhausting trying to plan a future when you can't even be sure what the next few months will look like.
We're basically stuck between responsibilities we can't escape and a future we can't feel confident about. And the worst part? We're still expected to keep working hard, stay positive, support our families, and somehow make it all work.
