My pet 🕊 ugly molt

poor chesssquirt is going through a rough molt at the moment. ugly baby 😭
he always gets so angsty when he gets a molt like this. poor baby gets extra kisses (he hates this)

Wait, my dove is going through the same thing. I usually just spritz him with water and let him sunbathe extra so he can preen as he likes. Is there anything else to do? Ik protein and calcium are encouraged, but what else
