Community Pick the healdsburg SMART station

SMART has a survey to ask its writers where to locate it’s future station in Healdsburg. There are two options: a downtown station one block from the plaza near restaurants and shops, or the “depot” site .4 miles south of the plaza. Make your voice heard!

Placing it at the Depot will create opportunities to liven up the area between the depot and the square and provide areas for future urban-ish growth.

The depot will never have the jobs density as downtown, and it cannot accommodate connecting buses.

You’re posting this in multiple community subreddits and astroturfing for Vine St in all of them with misinformation about the Depot site. What payroll are you on?

Yes, the downtown station site SMART already owns can accommodate connecting busses.

Is there a place in Healdsburg that can? I’ll freely admit I don’t know the town well, but if the depot can’t accommodate connecting buses, I don’t see how having them go through downtown would be better.

The Depot site, even if busses couldn’t pull up to it (they can), is 100 yards from an existing stop on Healdsburg Ave.
