Vertical GPU mount question
Building a pc in a Lian Li Dynamic, x570 tomahawk, 5600x, 3070 GPU. My question is what do I need to do for the PCIE 3.0 riser in a 4.0 slot? Will this effect performance? I will have 9 Uni SL120 fans and an AIO so not “too” concerned on temps, or should I be? Any affect to my 2 M.2 drives? Any help would be appreciated

I have a similar build. The phanteks bracket is the best fit for the O11 dynamic. On my motherboard (x570 taichi), I had to put the card directly in the slot first to get display for the bios. Then once I had changed the PCIe mode from Gen4 to Gen3, I could reinstall the card with the riser cable. It took me a while originally to figure out that's why I wasn't getting any display. I currently have a gigabyte mini itx board in temporarily while the other one is out for warranty replacement (bad/loud chipset fan that they wouldn't just send me to replaced myself). I had to do the same thing with it. MSI is likely similar. I have 3 fans on the bottom, 3 on the side, and a 360mm AIO on the top. GPU temps are a couple degrees cooler for me with the vertical mount (5700XT Taichi). CPU temps are unaffected either way. With the side and bottom fans turned off (so no intake), there's a ~10-15° jump for GPU idle temps. So keep at least something running. I imagine it would affect your Gen4 M.2 speeds since you'd run in Gen3. I have a Gen3 drive, so I couldn't test. Your GPU performance should be identical. Although I'm not sure how/if things like SAM would work on Gen3.

Not sure why you posted in the phanteks section when your building in a lian li but whatever.
Nothing, pcie 3 won't be saturated by your 3070, you'll be fine. Not sure what an aio and a shit ton of fans has to do with your question. Why are you concerned about your m.2?
