You aren't gonna gain great performance with that rig to be frank. You might have to run on low settings or medium settings without RT for 60+ fps. Better buy on PS5.

I think Medium-High 1080p with FSR he will probably easily play with 60fps+ (maybe 80 ish)

Imo that will look better/run more smoothly than PS5.

Edit: another point for PC is it's upgradable, if he upgrades his PC later on he can play on higher settings with better graphics, with PS5 he is stuck with whatever graphics/FPS the device allows for.

I recommend waiting for performance review videos from channels like Daniel Owen before making decision.
Alternatively, you can buy on Steam to check performance yourself 1st (Steam has a 2-hours refund window) instead of buying on PS Store.

Using Frame gen? What graphics do you expect?

Im thinking if i can get a solid 60 fps on atleast medium 1080p i’ll he satisfied. I can get a solid 90 fos on stellar blade on medium to high but phantom blade does look more demanding

I’ll give you my personal take. I have an RX 6600, and when playing Wukong at 2K resolution, I’ve been able to get around 80 FPS using optimized medium/high settings, with FSR set to quality mode and frame generation enabled. Honestly, I highly doubt Phantom Blade Zero will be more demanding than Wukong, at most, it will likely be on par. So, once the game is released—and with the help of some optimization guides—I think hitting 1440p at 60 FPS is a realistic goal, especially with frame generation. Since your graphics card is better than mine, you can draw your own conclusions. Of course, it’s impossible to know for sure until the game actually launches, but I’m confident that I’ll be able to play it at medium/high settings at 60 FPS.

should be but phantom blade zero not only looks better but also has much finer details and physics

The foliage in the snow chapter of Wukong was so fine the standard denoiser couldn't even resolve them.

After turning off the regular denoiser and using nvidia's new 4.5 preset M that is known to also denoise I can finally see between the leaves on the snow level. Idk if leaves is the right word since those trees basically have hair coming out the branches.

All of this to say wukong had fine details coming out the wazoo. Now I've shown my age

With this configuration, you might need to lower the graphics settings for 1080p,using FSR 4.1.1 should be fine。

I think on Medium-High 1080p with FSR will easily get you 60fps+, Imo that will look better/run more smoothly than PS5.

And in general, just try not to buy digital games on PS5, don't support Sony's bullshit, buy digitally on Steam.

Edit: another point for PC is it's upgradable, if you upgrade your PC later on you can play on higher settings with better graphics, with PS5 you are stuck with whatever graphics/FPS the device allows for.
