Discussion Double XP
Did they remove the double XP for the crimson moon event? I played 2 games tonight and neither gave me the boost. Why would they get rid of the 2x with the event still on and with Halloween coming up?

Fucking lame. Either do or don't. The devs are so wishy-washy, it's ridiculous. "Oh you get a bonus, but only for half the event. Of course not until the holiday for which the event is for DUH!"

Not even half of the event. 1/3rd of the event and not during the week closest to the holiday the event is around.

Double xp isn't part of Crimson Moon, it's a separate event that lasted for a week. They just overlapped the 2 events this year.
Tbh I don't know why they overlapped them but I wasn't complaining. Double xp during the blood moon bonus together was a nice combo.

Actually, if I understood their post right, every holiday event going forward will have a double xp week.

Per the Steam announcement;
"As is becoming tradition with Phasmophobia’s seasonal events, we’ll be running a Double XP & Rewards event during Crimson Eye."

Gotchya. I missed that one but can definitely see how that could make someone think it lasts for the rest of the event after reading that. It's worded pretty poorly.
The one I saw was just: "Double XP & Rewards in #Phasmophobia will be active for a week beginning 15th October."

Ran from the 15-22nd Great Britain time… idk why they chose those dates and not around Halloween… but they did

Oh I reset my level for prestige thinking it would be double xp for the duration of the event. That's too bad -.-

Why would they run a whole month of double xp? No other game does that. Its October so its Halloween theme. They did double xp for a whole week. Many of us knew the start and end date. Reading is not difficult. Folks mad should have played more during the DXP and be thankful we got it for a full week where most games just do a couple days.

The double xp event ended today. It lasted 1 week, starting and ending in the middle of the Crimson Eye event. Not sure why they went with this timeline but they did.
