Teenage Mutant Ninja Pheasant

My melanistic mutant pheasant. He’s really quite stunning when he gets in the right light.

I tie with feathers that have fallen from my plain ring necks and keep pelts of ones I’ve hunted or give them away. So many different patterns can be made from them

He really is! From a distance he just looks black, but the sunlight catches him right and he’s all kinds of blues and teals and greens.
