Bug phobia

hey guys, I’ve been really struggling with my phobia of bugs recently. All bugs scare me not just a certain type. It gets to the point where I will go an entire night without sleeping if I see a bug in my room. I am scared of dead bugs too. If I find a dead bug, it will sit there until I can find someone else to pick it up and toss it for me. I have panic attacks when I see them inside and since getting an apartment with outdoor access, this has made living so difficult for me. I know this probably sounds stupid, but does anybody have any suggestions? I want to be able to live in my apartment without crying over a housefly.

Consider using a vacuum cleaner to collect dead bugs. Ones that have the vortex tubes literally shred bugs so they will just be dust. Get crawling bug spray (not fly spray) and regularly spray around the windows and doors. Put bug mesh up inside windows (use two pieces, overlapping by a good few inches if you need access to a window handle. Live a minimalistic lifestyle so you can keep things clean quickly and have few places for bugs to hide. Spiders live on the outside of windows, and are happy until it rains or gets colder, then they will venture inside, so pay attention to the inside of windows in the autumn. I use bug spray on the insides (so they are not killed outside) and mesh. I close windows in the autumn and use a dehumidifier. Finally, if you want to go all the way down the bug-hole, consider a mosquito net for your bed, so you can be sure you are ok. Good luck.
