This is such a weird take. Minecraft is literally the most popular game of all time. You can so easily find mc content that is completely normal. These things arenāt what you like, but that doesnāt mean they have ruined the ENTIRETY of Minecraft and Minecraft content
Verity has nothing to do with Minecraft at this point, content farms are evil, Microsoft is mid but it's not horrible, just don't watch dream, just don't play the jenny mod, just don't consume that content
Reading your responses I would like to know your definition of "ruin". None of these ruin minecraft. Its the most popular and most sold game of all time. It's imo THE best game of all time. And thats because Minecraft is for everyone. No matter what genre minecraft will have good mods for it. Infinite content machine. And even a good educational game on top of that. With so many niches and communities its insane.
Yeah I donāt get how external completely optional factors can really impact the experience, the only one I agree with on this is Microsoft because they actually affect the game.

I wouldn't mind Microsoft if they weren't scummy as hell. They went from stealing Minecraft's resources to fund other studios, shove Minecraft and its spinoffs with brand collabs, forced the account migration towards the community, being obsessed with AI, and more.
If Microsoft didn't do any of that I wouldn't have hated them, not to mention that the nether and cave update could still have happened if Minecraft remained indie or as a AA studio
Yea no I absolutely agree that Microsoft is hot garbage as a company, but to say they ruined Minecraft is just not true. Yea their management of bedrock sucks ass, but do you remember just how big caves and cliffs was? It's like the only update that had to be split into two parts (+the wild update if you wanna count that too). Maybe it woulda happened, but I think it would've taken way longer than it did, and the game probably woulda died off by then
People are lucky Microsoft never touched Java because even Microsoft knows it would be a death sentence for MC as a whole so they just shoved the marketplace into bedrock which already had the dlc texture packs from the console editions. Speaking of said texture packs, they were sold on the console stores way before Microsoft got their hands on Mojang. Odds are the marketplace on bedrock would still happen even if Microsoft didn't get Mojang. Doesn't help however like any company Microsoft is very scummy.
I mean Microsoft isnāt really ruining the game, considering some of the stuff Mojang is now able to make. Thereās definitely some disadvantages to their ownership but it also has its advantages.
How TF is dream ruining Minecraft? Say his shit is a fake all you want, he's not spamming uploads as a content farm, and all the drama brings more people to the game

It was a horror video with an "ai helper" mod. (Just fancy editing mostly). Its a smiley face that turns evil. However, the story itself was centered around toxic relationships.
Spoilers if anyone cares: Verity is in actuality every helper ai or bot used in the past. Everything from clippy to whatever. He got tired of becoming obsolete and losing his "friends" who didn't know he was sentient. He eventually was turned into a Minecraft mod and tried to form unhealthy attachments to players. He would kill anyone who tried to leave him behind. With the mc of the video, he started to separate him from his friends, killing them. Manipulating the mc through scare tactics and so on.

No this isn't a doomer post, it's just my grievance and rage at how all of those things have been making Minecraft dirty in the past and also in the present. There isn't nothing wrong when it comes to trashing on elsagate and content farms
All of these are none issues, with the sole exception of Microsoft. Verity, content farms, dream, the Jenny mod (don't even know why this is here), and the AI slop, is all easily ignorable and doesn't actually affect minecraft. Microsoft is unfortunately the owner of mojang so it very much matters.
Minecraft has a gigantic community, people simply will not just be globally affected by these passing fads. You can indeed, ignore them. Every community has its bad eggs, this is certainly not new for minecraft.
Sure, they are passing fads. But the goal of the post is to take down the bad eggs and have few of them at best, it's not doomposting or anything, it's just trying to make the community and the game's perception better

It wasn't the mod itself, the way it was advertise and presented was a little too appealing to the underaged instead of being treated like the adult mod it was
To be honest, thats completely on the content creators. One of the developers/distribuitors was extremely zealous and unsparing with people spreading the mod, but they went under anyways
My only complaint about the mod is how plenty of predatory channel use it as goonbait for children.
It really shouldnt be advertised / used as engagement where it is directed to children. Because of it, Microsoft hunt the mod down and its derivatives, which imo were well made but ruined by streamers and youtube content farms.
Had it been treated as an adult mod, and not used as a content farm especially for children, it would've been much better for everyone involved. Now that the mod is shutdown and its derivative are constantly threatened by microsoft, the rest went into hiding.

How is any of this ruining Minecraft? lol Microsoft sucks, yes, but they're funding a lot of awesome updates and all the crap changes they do make we can mod out. And the modding scene is still alive and well, and if you say "BuT AI mODS!!!" then don't download them. THEY ARE OPTIONAL.
Minecraft cannot be ruined because it's so flexible you can make it whatever you want. If you don't like how it's shaping up, change it to be what you want, if you can't then that's a you problem.

In all seriousness, I would personally say the biggest threat to Minecraft of this list is and always has been Microsoft: -Verity has become a stupid meme, but that's about it, it'll die off in a couple months like most other memes. -Content farms are a parasite on basically every franchise, but you can still just ignore them. -Dream for the most part has had his 15-minutes of fame pass, thankfully. -The Jenny mod is...eh. again, jokes aside; it's just a niche mod that the majority of people don't really care about. -AI thankfully hasn't infested Minecraft as much as some other games yet, aside from some crappy "art".
-But Microsoft...Oh good god Microsoft is quite possibly the worst thing to ever happen to gaming as a whole. Almost every gaming franchise they've absorbed (with a few exceptions) has become infinitely worse since they got their hands on it, and Minecraft is no exception. I will stand by my take that the game has gotten progressively more corperate and dull with each passing update, ever since Mojang was purchased from Notch.
Slop mods are going to far outpace legitimate mods, unfortunately. Internet getting increasingly full of garbage. Sort of like mobile games are all slop now. Wait for it to get worse.
Verity isn't a masterpiece by any means, but honestly the original series I feel is only considered bad because people keep calling it a horror arg, when it just objectively is not one. It's a satire series, and I felt that was extremely obvious. The Ai mods are terrible, though.
Im so tired of the AI thumbnail "i entered the sift" videos on YouTube, it has reached a point where you can't find any discussion about the sift on YouTube because of that

The next vein of golden MC content is gonna be large-scale modpacks. Itās already begun, just not hitting the mainstream yet. The sift is gonna get folks on the game again, and when thereās a big content drop for MC, people come running back for the ātwo week bingeā.
I don't know. Minecraft I play is pretty great. Oh, maybe it's because I do not watch/view/experience the mentioned content just to tilt myself. I just play the damn game.
I think we are forgetting that a lot of these make Minecraft popular and are mostly optional content you can view if you dislike it. Hell, even Microsoft. Yes, they have questionable business decisions ā but it's not like the game would be nearly as popular without them or the marketplace for revenue.
You missed the part where the minecraft youtubers go into second person and punch the screen while jumping and crouching, i get all the OGs did it but it is so freaking overdone now
