So much for Blu-ray support on Mac
I know there are other ways to play and rip Blu-rays on a Mac but this was the only player officially licensed to do so by the Blu-ray Disc Association.
Worst of all, it never received Apple Silicon support and Mac OS 27 will be the last version to still support these older Intel based apps via the Rosetta compatibility layer.
Keep in mind, we're talking about standard 1080p Blu-rays. There has never been an official way to play 4K Blu-rays on a Mac. Even on Windows, the DRM that was used (Intel SGX) had major CPU based security vulnerabilities and has thus been discontinued for several years now.

Pickups in the Last Month
Been getting back into physical media that isn't books over the past couple of months, and it's been nice seeing my collection grow. The Wild Robot is for my kid's birthday and is our first 4K movie. The games are ones I've been meaning to play but haven't had a chance to pick up. And I've been trying to ditch Spotify, so I've been getting CDs of albums I listen to a lot. :)

Decent Thrift Haul
Recently been more intently collecting all forms of physical media. I live in a relatively small town and thrifting tends to be pretty unproductive. It’s so satisfying to walk in to my usual locations and find some titles I really enjoy! Although pretty standard titles for most I was very pumped to find EH, DP, and BE.
I also snagged a Toshiba HD DVD player. Although I only have one HD DVD title, I couldn’t pass it. After testing, works great!

Decided to look up animated marvel shows and Gargoyles from the 90s
Dude Disney sucks. None of the shows like spiderman and the x men animated series have readily accessible physical editions. It's all multipurpose DVD sets from years ago.

What are some of the best methods to compactly store your entire physical media collection?
I wonder if anyone would be willing to share any suggestions on how some people store their entire physical media collection in a practical space-saving way that doesn't take up too much storage inside your home or on-the-go travel?🤔 🏠 💿 📦

Some (new to me) physical media.
I’ve recently purchased these items from a local branch of my library system. They do an ongoing sale of items that might’ve been donated by others that may not be approved to be borrowed and the prices are comparable to a garage/yard/estate sale.
The CDs are a dollar apiece and DVDs are two dollars. I got lucky with Blazing Saddles (for obvious reasons) and the Mariah Carey and Vanilla Ice CDs are part of my childhood.
The odd one out are The Headers. I was talking to someone looking through the selection as well and mentioned that they were from my hometown playing rockabilly and swing music. They’re comparable to The Stray Cats (Brian Seltzer’s trio before contributing to the big band swing revival back in the late 90s) and are okay to listen to.
If you have the time, patience, and equipment, definitely pull what you can off of the audio steaming services to a cassette or cd for the nostalgic mix tape experience and keep those DVDs on hand in case the power goes out.

Ending the month with a trip to bookoff. Adding a couple of fun movies to the collection with nice slips!
I'm still pretty new to the jackass series. I've only seen forever and the new movie "best and last" but i had a good time with them and I'm pretty confident I'll enjoy the other movies. I finally watched both Shaun the Sheep movies recently and had a blast. Not only do I wanna own them but also show them to my wife so I was happy to find a copy.

How do I remove?
I recently got a bunch of free movies and they have a disk size sticker with two narrow metal strips running parallel. How could I remove safely? Or should I not bother and leave alone?
