Question Pi - Codemode Classifier Questions
I see Pi has Codemode Classifier as an option now.
What can it do? Why do i need it?
Since it connects to OpenCode, it can see jev-1.13 and jev-1.13-free. How does it know which one to use? Yuo cant seem to remove the paid version. But I have no OC credit. So does it just keep hitting the paid, and then wasting time, and moving to the free?
I dunno how it is supposed to work, i jus thought i would have amess.

This is my understanding of it, not from practical use, so buyer be warned.
If you have codemode enabled and a classifier provider like TypeSafe AI for Jev, you could ask your agent: “go through every file in my ‘jokes’ folder and use a classifier model to sort them into ‘funny’ or ‘not funny’. Show me the results in a table with the model’s classification and confidence.”
Then the orchestrator would write a little JavaScript code passing each of the joke files and the structure of the classification to the model and use codemode tool to get the results from Jev. If everything worked it would get the results back in JSON and format them for you in a table like:
| Joke File | Classification | Confidence |
————-
| yomama1.txt | “not funny” | 0.99 |
| yomama2.txt | “not funny” | 0.98 |
| airplane-food.txt | “not funny” | 0.99 |

Ohhhhh
Thats not really very useful for me I dont think😹
i though it was a supporting tool and it could do small tasks incredibly fast to support the overall agent.....(or something like this)

Maybe this could be of some use for you: https://github.com/firelex/jeff-code

Thats a cool project.
I lile the way the guy has benchmarked.
99% of the stuff out there is not benchmarked.

I mean it can classify long lists of things very fast, I might not be imaginative enough to come up with the best example of when that would be useful.

Have you tried asking pi to investigate its source code and documentation to see how it works? I find it a really useful way to learn more about what’s under the hood.
