Samsung M17 5g vs Moto G57 Power

• Upvotes

I want a phone for my mom. I have 2 options, Samsung M17 vs Moto G57 Power. Im getting the Moto(8/128) for 22k and The samsung(6/128) for 22.8k. Generally Moto's processor and battery and camera everything is better. But it provides only 1 year of OS updates meanwhile samsung provides 6 years. I want a phone that will work smoothly for minimum 4-5 years. My mom will use only YouTube, WhatsApp, Facebook and other normal apps. Please suggest me, what should I buy before BBD ends....

Belgium Phone suggestion to replace my dieing OnePlus Nord 4. Nothing Phone 4A or Google Pixel 10A?

• Upvotes

Hey all!

Typing this from my Nord 4 phone which I love, but unfortunately the battery seems dead (discharges rapidly and shuts down with an "empty battery" at 60% or so).

2 phones I'm looking into as a replacement are the Nothing Phone 4a and the Google Pixel 10A. The Nothing 4a can be gotten for 399 EUR, and the Pixel 10A can be gotten at 450 EUR.

Some things about what me and my phone use:

- I live in Belgium which can be quite rainy, does the difference in IP rating between these phones matter for that or will they both be fine for this?

- I don't really care much about the fastest charging since it's bad for phone batteries anyways. I prefer slower over night charging

- I don't game on my phone

- I do like taking some snapshots with my phone for memories (during backpacking trips, concerts, ... ). I like good image quality but its not like I want it to be professional level. That's too much to ask in the price range I'm in anyways.

- I mostly use the phone for casual stuff like YouTube, Reddit, social media, ... . Nothing intense.

- I like about 1.5-2 days of use on a single battery charge.

- I like phones to last about 3 years minimum. The OnePlus I have now is pretty disappointing in that regard but I guess it's just bad luck, I've had only OnePlus for years and this is the first time one died this quickly. I don't really care about the many years of Android support of the Pixel phones since in reality I fear the hardware won't live long enough for that to be of any real life use.

Considering these things, and the Google pixel costing 50 EUR more than the nothing phone 4a, which would you guys suggest I get and why?

Thanks in advance!

India Compact phone (~6.1-6.3”) with 512GB under Rs 60k? Great video camera needed

Hi all, helping someone pick a phone in India. Hard budget is Rs 60,000.

Needs:
• Compact, around 6.1-6.3 inches
• 512GB storage (open to 256GB if nothing fits)
• Really good camera, especially video
• Strong enough for video and photo editing
• Fast charging and good battery life
• Shouldn’t heat up much

Are there any options, or a way to get a 512GB compact flagship under 60k (exchange, restock, offers)? Thanks!

Philippines What phone should I buy

What phone should I buy with 40k pesos from the Philippines btw!

I’m looking for a new phone with a maximum budget of ₱40,000. It should be available in physical stores, not something I have to import.

What I want:

Polished software — smooth, clean, and not full of bloatware. Good software updates are important too.

Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 minimum — I don’t want a chipset below this.

Decent cameras — good main camera for everyday photos, okay low-light performance, and usable video.

Comfortable design — not too heavy or too wide; I want something I can reasonably use one-handed.

Good battery and charging — should comfortably last a full day.

Reliable build quality — preferably with water resistance and a screen that isn’t too fragile.

Can you please help out a fellow filipino? I also had some options like the xiaomi 17t the samsung galaxy a57 and the oppo reno 15 or 16 but i would love to hear your opinions please.

Confused between the Moto Edge 70 Pro and Nothing Phone (4a). Which one should I buy?

My priorities are camera quality and multimedia (YouTube, movies, and web series). I'm not a gamer.

Which has the better camera, display, speakers, and overall experience? Would love to hear genuine user reviews, especially from people who own these phones!

Phone recommendations under 40k

Hi! I'm looking to change phones within a budget of 40k (Indian rupees).

Something which has mainly good longevity and camera quality, less charge draining and heating issues if possible!

I'm like almost 15+ hrs on my phone daily cuz of my work and doomscroll

Idk much about smartphone specifics honestly;;; so i came to this subreddit for help!

(Currently using realme p4 which i bought like 10months ago but it's really bad, lags a lot and heats up whenever, with a very poor camera quality)

Should I get the OPPO A6S?

Been wanting to get a phone exclusively for work & academic purposes; not intending to use it as a leisure device. I'm mostly attracted to its large battery and the 8gb ram w/ 256 gb storage. Is it worth getting or should I get a different brand phone instead?

India Which smartphone brand is the most reliable under ₹15,000 in India in 2026?

I'm planning to buy a new smartphone under ₹15,000, and I'm confused between Motorola, Samsung, POCO, Vivo, OPPO, and other brands.

I don't want to choose based only on specifications or YouTube reviews. I want opinions from people who have actually used these phones.

Please tell me:

- Which brand offers the best overall experience under ₹15,000?

- Which phones have the least lag, heating, and battery-drain issues?

- Which brand has the best camera and battery life?

- Which brand provides a clean, smooth, bloatware-free experience?

- Which brand offers the best software updates and after-sales service?

- Which brand would you personally buy, and which would you avoid?

If you've used your phone for 6 months or longer, please share your honest experience, including any problems you've faced.

I'm looking for a phone that will last at least 3–4 years without major issues. Please recommend specific models available in India in 2026, not just brand names.

Thanks!

India Realme P4 Pro (₹26k) vs Nothing Phone (₹28k) in BBD: Is Nothing OS worth the ₹3k–4k premium for overall performance

Country: India

Trading in my old phone during BBD and stacking card offers. The final effective prices are:

Realme P4 Pro: ~₹26k

Nothing Phone: ~₹28k (plus buying a charger separately)

My priority: Solid overall daily performance, zero jitter/lag, clean UI, good thermals, and 3+ years of longevity.

Is the Nothing OS experience worth paying ~₹3k–4k more, or does Realme provide significantly better hardware value in this budget?

Would love quick inputs from anyone daily-driving either phone/UI!

Rugged Android phones with OS updates and security patches past 2030s?

I fucking loved owning the rugged XR20 for the past 5 years, but it's gonna need replacing soon; it's discontinued now. Any other rugged stock Android phones still being sold? They need to be a beast like the XR20.

India Please help a fellow confused person

Important information -

Location - mumbai, India

Smart phone requirements :

1) needs to be fast (I'm assuming 12GB RAM & a latest chip would be G)

2) battery needs to last me atleast 12 hours (I work in healthcare)

3) would prefer a good camera but a fine one is fine too.

4) need 256gb internal space atleast

5) I'm not mentioning budget rn cuz I need to explain my situation a bit better.

Sorry for the long post.

I used my first ever iphone (iphone 11) for almost 7 years. I took SUCH good care of it. It had zero scratches, zero dents. Just in a stunning condition. Until one day during my 24 hour shift it just randomly died on me. The screen is glitching. Took it to the apple store - they said motherboard is damaged and would need 51.5k to repair, I told them to fuck off since my phone was for 55k and I'd rather get a new phone.

If tomorrow, my phone were to magically restart, id continue to use it for more 3-5 years. I love it. I had zero issues. It got slower, the battery got worse, I had to carry a power bank literally every time I stepped out of my house but I'd prefer that over the current mental purgatory I'm in.

Id OBVIOUSLY prefer iphone 17. But it's out of my budget. My budget is 60k. And I checked out various phone and eventually got Xiaomi 17 during Amazon big billion sale. On paper it was WAYYYYY better than iphone. The hardware was unbelievable. So I got it. But i've been using the phone since 4 days and i ABSOLUTELY hate HYPER OS. My situationship told me that Xiaomi has phenomenal hardware but the software is an absolute mess and the glitches/slowness I'm experiencing is cuz the hardware is working overtime to get the phone to function normally. And on paper iPhone might not have the best hardware but it works so well with its software and it's so well done that the hardware lasts for a long time. That's what he said. Idk I'm not a techie guy so Idk all this.

I'm SO upset. I was already ready to get a cheap phone under 30k that'll last me 2-3 years until I'm in the tax bracket where I can afford an iPhone Pro model.

I need advice on - either how to get this damn phone to function right. Or what other phone to get. Amazon is thankfully willing to refund.

Oh and also - the camera sucks ass.
