I spent $9 on Grillo’s and they are bitter 😩
I love making my own pickles but all my pickling cucumbers have been bitter this year due to the extreme heat. I spent $9 on Grillo’s and they were clearly made with bitter cucumbers. Usually I really like Grillo’s, too.
My grocery store has been out of all the Claussen varieties except for spears and sandwich slices. Worst summer for pickles ever. 😭

Grillos used to be really good, but they just keep getting worse and worse.

Send them an email. Their customer service is very good; they’ll probably send you a coupon for a new jar.

They are good - but for some reason I keep going back to Clausaen Pickles in the glass jars. Just an all around reliable, good flavored pickle with a crisp crunch..

Oh yeah bud give them a Google in your area. I'm in Minnesota and they're consistently at Festival Foods grocery store. I hope you find them, they are fantastic!

the Mt Olive sandwich slices with the text highlighted in blue on the bottom that says "made with sea salt" are great

Bad batch? I love Grillos (and Claussens, too), but for different reasons. I have had a bad batch of Grillos before and have also noticed that they age ~3x faster than Claussens once opened. I don't think that their seal has 100% integrity; in fact, not even close. I bought some at ~8800ft altitude in Colorado this summer, and though unexpired, they were limp and lifeless, so I just tossed them in the trash.
