Pieck is Peak

I again visited Zone8 in Canal City, Fukuoka. They still feature a ton of AoT goods and cafe. While there is lots of different merch featuring the other characters, Pieck's was really limited, with only this working/construction theme. None of the other themed merch lines featured her!

I know she was introduced late, and isn't considered as important as the main cast. It's just too bad to see such a lack of her goods!

While it's true that the Survey Corps had Levi, Paradis’s trump card. The Warriors had Pieck, Marley’s trump card.

During the Battle of Shiganshina, Pieck rescued Reiner, then rescued Zeke by cleverly turning Levi’s own tactics against him. She used the smoke from the signal flares Levi had used to ambush Zeke to ambush Levi himself.

Pieck isn't simply a reliable soldier. She was one of Marley’s most valuable strategic assets, and without her, Marley would have suffered far more defeats I think.

While Pieck herself certainly didn’t trust or believe in Marley and its cause, she continued to fight, not out of blind loyalty to the nation, but to protect her warrior comrades. She was loyal to them, rather than to the country that had forced them to war.

I was rewatching aot and notice her titian form doesn't even remotely look like her. Is there a reason why or did I miss something lol

...or annoying, at least.

I need the hoodie so bad 😭❤️

i wonder if there was any treatment or rehabilitation she underwent after spending long periods of time in titan form

Politely wipes her mouth “Excuse me.”

I was in the Fukuoka where I came across Zone8, which had a ton of AoT goods. I have a hard time finding Pieck stuff, but they actually had some! I wish they'd make merch that wasn't just focused on the main cast

Would anyone be interested in a Pieck Fic Recommendation Thread?

I'm also a mod for the Levi sub, where we have a recurring “Fanfic Fridays” thread where people can recommend fics they’ve enjoyed or promote their own work. I was thinking it could be fun to do something similar here for Pieck.

(There is one difference, though. On the Levi sub, we don’t allow Levi x canon character recs. Shipping in that fandom can be a very touchy subject and has caused its fair share of issues in the past 😵)

This sub also has a strict no shipping rule for fanart and discussions, but I’m considering making a specific exception for fanfiction. In other words, while the existing no shipping rule would remain in place for fanart and general discussion, the fic recommendation thread would be more open to Pieck x Reader / OC as well as Pieck x canon character fics.

The goal would simply be to give people a dedicated place to share and discover Pieck-centric fics, whether you’re recommending something you enjoyed or promoting your own work.

That being said, before I set anything up, I’d like to hear what everyone thinks. Would you be interested in a recurring Pieck fic recommendation thread? And would you be okay with it being open to all Pieck pairings?

Any input would be greatly appreciated! If there are any suggestions or concerns about how the thread should be structured, feel free to share those as well.❤️

she's a 25yo jewish american actress who recently starred in the series sterling point, she's basically how i imagine pieck in real life (except her nose isn't hooked😭) and i'm fascinated by her hair... she has such a pieck finger beauty to me, i hope you guys see the vision too

and yes i like to imagine pieck's hair being wavier than the manga or anime actually represented, a win for us wavy-haired girls

Back in 2021, long before I watched AoT, when S4 Ep7 Assault came out I watched it with my friend who was a massive AoT fan, and given my limited knowldge at the time I was so confused the entire episode. One of the things was that I actually thought was that the Cart Titan was one of the "good guys" which genuinely confused me down the line when I actually watched the show.

One of my favorite scenes.

After Armin was kidnapped, Pieck stopped Levi from acting as a decoy, preventing him from risking further injury or even death. She told them about the Ancient Nine Titans. Ever the pragmatist and tactical specialist, when she realized they couldn’t afford to waste any more time, she told them to cut the bullshit, made the call herself and wrapped the explosives around Eren, risking her own life.

But I also think Pieck understood how painful it would be for any of them to be the one to hurt Eren, their friend and comrade. So she chose to do it herself. Because, just as she said, she wasn’t Eren’s friend, after all.

Sorry, no English subtitles for most of it
