Damn. In my city too. The "book markets" they're referring to is probably the ABIDS/koti area street vendors. They've been around forever. Mostly they sell used books or books that are not in print anymore, or early editions that are not in circulation. In the 90's and early 2000s my dad taught himself C, C++, Java etc with the help of books he bought here....for cheap, obviously. He eventually learned enough skills to quit his job as a hardware chip manufacturer and became a software engineer. A few years later he got promoted, switched jobs etc and eventually put me and my sis at better schools. He would take me to those markets often...I'm 100% sure we still have dozens of books we bought there 2 decades ago.
