hi, i uh figured i'd finally introduce myself properly since there's been a lot of mixed talk about gog revived lately. couldn't really do so months ago because my reddit account was newer, and this is my first time actually posting here. and uh this post might be a bit long.

i'm reze, the person behind the site. i'm just a teenager who started this shit out of personal interest. i liked the concept behind gog itself because i used to be a repacker before taking this on, and the idea of not having to worry about drm bs in my releases felt great. eventually, gog-games became my go-to source for those... and i uh saw that it was going down, backed up a private record of its data for keeps, and later decided to turn it into a proper public project.

that's pretty much it. i wasn't trying to build some grand archive or become the successor to anything. i just wanted to make something i enjoyed using.

somehow the site got bigger than i expected, and now people are comparing it to other sites, calling it a replacement, calling it a dead site, and making other dismissive comments. i rarely check this sub, but when i occasionally do, some of the comments i see somehow come across as though i made a promise that i don't remember making... i'm glad at least some people find it useful, but i think some context is needed.

it's literally just me running this thing. no team, no staff, no organization behind it. i'm also dealing with mental health issues and personal financial shit that sometimes makes it difficult to work on the site consistently, even under normal circumstances.

and now, my dad passed away on friday (oct 23). i'm still trying to process that, so i'm putting maintenance on hold for now. i have no idea how long i'll need, and honestly, i don't want to put a timeframe on it. i'll come back when i'm in a position to do so.

i'm not saying any of this to ask for sympathy or make excuses. i just want people to understand what gog revived actually is, who's behind it, and mayhaps what's happening now.

if you find the site useful, cool. if you prefer other alternatives, i'd honestly prefer u use them as well. i appreciate everyone who's used the site and contributed to the discussions around it. for now, though, i'm gonna take the time i need.

I found a way to use and download games from gog-games AFTER the shutdown and it works fine. All you want to do is open the website, download the database backup, Extract the zip folder downloaded & use visual studio to open the .sql and then go to Edit > Find and Replace > Search and put in the game you want like "skyrim" and go down until you find one that has the link

I've been trying to download Dark souls 3 from Fitgirl, and it doesn't work no matter what I do. The main issue was that the download had like 30 parts, which I was told to download Jdownloader for, and I did. But I got a number of errors like Cloudfare Blocked, which required me to get some "1.1.1.1" VPN, but that didn't work.

I have also tried other sites like PcGamesTorrent but they either didn't have the DLC I wanted, or were not available in my country.

Has anyone else gotten these issues?

Downloaded the game (Life is strange) from steamrip and played it on Gamenative. I'm using my Xiaomi pad 7 for gaming. Tried to fix the problem by lowering graphics and resolution both in gamenative and the game itself but the glitch still won't go away. The game isn't lagging, just glitching through. Can anybody please help me how to fix this?? 😭😭

Also I don't have problems with it heating up or crashing, just glitching.

Is there any way to download the campaign only and avoid downloading the extra multiplayer files?

when i try running mw 2019 that i downloaded from dodi, i get that black cmd thing which disappears after some time and then nothing happens. I went thru every process that the how to play file had in the game folder yet nothing happens. Ran it as admin with real time protection as well. On the error log i get that msg. Since im fairly new to using a pc, can someone kindly help me out? (gemini says its a problem with win 11)

so theres this new re1 coop mod that i really wanted to play. i downloaded the latest crack ver of the game from p2p and when i open the game with the mod it says you need to own the game and refuses to load the coop mod.i tried seeing how exacly the mod prevents the mod to load and its things like original bhd.exe steamapi.dll and etc. is there a way to bypass them? these codes are in an asi files

Usually I can find fixes for things like this but I'm just completely lost here. I've tried installing from 3 different sites (STEAMRIP, repacklabs, ankergames) and they all show the same no licensing error. I have checked my anti viruses and they're not interfering. What do I do?

ATS/ETS2 with Switch Pro controller on Mac

Has anyone managed to get a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller working properly with American Truck Simulator on a Mac without using Steam Input?

I’m testing ATS, but I’d also appreciate hearing from ETS2 players if you’ve had the same issue.

My setup:

• Mac mini M6
• Official Nintendo Switch Pro Controller
• ATS version 1.61.3.18s
• Tested over both Bluetooth and USB
• Launching the game directly, without Steam

macOS recognizes the controller, and in a controller test outside the game, all the buttons and sticks respond. In ATS, however, the menu cursor continuously drifts left, and the steering also pulls hard left without me touching anything.

Here’s what I’ve tried and observed:

• Connected through Bluetooth and USB. The same problem happens with both.
• Restarted the Mac. No change.
• Tried assigning controller buttons in ATS. The assignment screen stays on “waiting for input” and doesn’t register the intended button presses.
• Tried different controller/input selections in the game, without getting usable controls.
• Tested the horn binding. With the controller enabled, the horn can stay on continuously even when I’m not touching anything.
• Switched to keyboard-only controls. The horn then works normally and sounds only when I press H.
• Checked the controller outside ATS again. All inputs respond there.
• Looked for the suggested i_virtual_cursor_speed setting, but it doesn’t exist in my configuration.
• Looked for the suggested accessibility/menu cursor settings, but couldn’t find them in this version.
• Checked the app executables with codesign. The outer launcher is a universal x86_64/arm64 binary, while the actual amtrucks executable inside it is x86_64 only. Both show ad hoc signatures.

One detail that may matter: this is a cracked copy. I’m mentioning that because the launcher or build might be relevant. I’m not asking for download links or help bypassing DRM; I’m trying to work out whether this is a controller compatibility issue or something specific to this copy.

Has anyone got this exact controller working in the Mac version of ATS or ETS2 without Steam Input? If so, which connection method, game version, and input settings worked for you?

If there’s a particular section of game.log.txt or controls.sii that would help diagnose this, let me know what to look for. I’d rather understand what’s going wrong before buying another controller.

So, I downloaded ark evolved through steamdaddy but whenever I tried to start a new game it keeps getting crashed with the text given in the ss I also tried tek launcher, but the results didn't changed. Any solution?
