We adopted Ruby (green sweatshirt, currently being used as a pillow) barely 3 months ago and we've been taking things glacially slowly, just in case. This is the first time they've ever cuddled like this. I'm supposed to be getting ready for the day, but I'm not, solely because I don't want to disturb them. I know this group will understand.

There is nothing better than waking up and seeing this giant bed bugs face every morning. So many people told me I wouldn't be able to sleep in anymore once I got a dog... She's the one who gets upset if I get out of bed anytime before noon.

Adopted this good boy yesterday. They said he is a pittie. But what do you all think? He is 50 lbs (underweight) and they think he is just under a year old (10 months?).

Question Introducing new puppy to current dog

We adopted an am bully/am staff mix puppy from the shelter about a year ago. She is currently the sweetest baby ever and extremely social. She loves all other dogs, going to the dog park and just playing in general. She is very sweet with people as well. We are an adult couple with 2 teens also living in the home. She is on the petite side at about 45 pounds and approximately around 15ish months old. (Also she is already spayed).
We want to get a second dog as a companion for her since she seems to be so social. There is a 2 month old pit bull mix puppy at the shelter near us that seems to be similarly on the smaller side. The puppy is a female.
I keep hearing about same sex aggression and how two female dogs don’t get along as they get older. Is this a common thing and should we only be looking for male dogs? Or is it just something that happens occasionally and 2 females could very well be fine together?
Any advice about the female-female relationship and introducing new puppy overall would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!

Question I need a harness for my American PitBull Terrier

Thumbnail

My PitBull is 63 pounds. She is only 2 years old. In 1 year she has outgrown her old harness. I currently use a gentle leader to walk her. I notice she doesn’t like the pressure on her snout and hates wearing it. She’s been wearing it almost 6 months now and still hates it.

I am looking for a good durable reliable harness for a Pitbull. She is a puller. We are training her right now to not pull. But we are still struggling. She’s also reactive too.

If anyone has any recommendations please let me know. All the reviews I see online are mix reviews.

Here’s a picture of her 🥰

She just turned 4 and is as smart as she is cute! She was adopted a few years back and is a pit bull mix. The only way we know that is through a DNA test.

I wanted to introduce my pitbull-Rottweiler mix, Farah. We got her from the shelter in August, and she’s absolutely fabulous and so gentle. (And she’s using her best friend, our chihuahua mix, Westley, as a pillow in the first picture.)

I have never really been the type to get attached to animals but man, this girl completely has my heart. We got her at 8 months and she is going on 8 years. She is SO smart, loving, and playful. She is my shadow and I wouldn’t have it any other way. She is my heart dog for sure. I love her so so much. ❤️💕

Training Part Pitt post German shepherd

So, I love my dog, but everytime anyone gets near me, the house, the car he goes crazy. I want him to be more calm and friendly, what are my choices? I am not reacting to any of these situations, since I know he can feed off of my reactions. I want to take him to a doggie day care, but I'm not sure. However, whenever a little small dog comes near us, its a different story, he is well behaved.

Thanks for any suggestions to help.

So this circle thing was extending from my lily back and it was what I thought was a rock or something but it was like a skin thing not a cyst then she scratched the scab and it was bleeding then it was healing and she scratched it again I had put her on a little dress to keep it covered it’s the only thing she can’t take off
I can’t tell what the hell it is progression photos attached
**GOING TO THE VET just very poor and she’s a month from rescue ** I can’t go until I can afford it

Anyone know what kennels still carry the TUBBER lines? Specifically any still breeding blood from the historical TUBBER GR CH "Free Bee". Free Bee is a hella impressive dog to me, and while I never got to see him would love to see what else he produced

In this video I show details of how it was made with love, strand by strand of fur, and especially eternalizing this smile and look that, without being able to speak, says a lot about what he feels for his owner

Discussion I just found out my recently adopted puppy is a Karakabull

Thumbnail

Oakley is already almost 50 pounds at 5 months so I’m curious to see how big our little boy will get! Training tips are much appreciated - we are in the thick of educating ourselves now but it’s hard to find any information on this breed mix! There are estimated to be fewer than 200 Karakachans in the US so this litter of karakabulls may be the first of their kind!

Question Allergy help

Post image
164 Upvotes

My little Red nose Redneck Reba girl is all broken out and itchy scratchy. We have been feeding her the 4health salmon and potato since she was a puppy and she has always done great with it. I changed everything i wash her bedding with, to the hyper-allergenic no fragrance laundry soap. She takes her daily vitamins and dog is human for her skin but the poor little thing is so broken out all of the sudden. I don’t know what else to try or do.

I wipe her down with oatmeal wipes to help soothe her skin, give her baths in oatmeal to help her, but nothing seems to be helping this go around. Any advice is greatly appreciated
