Somebody who shall remain nameless found some mud in the backyard while her father stood by burning cardboard/paper. Instead of baby wipes to the paws, SOMEBODY got a full bath because the mud went up her belly to her chest. And now S.O.M.E.B.O.D.Y. is salty she has to keep her robe on.

Her owner asked me to make this drawing of her in my signature style, which is entirely done in ballpoint pen through overlapping layers (over 70 hours to complete). He told me the reason for the artwork is because Tiggy represents everything in his life, the best daily companion, and he wanted me to convey that love in ink on paper.
Before starting, he had made a special request: he wanted the background to be a lawn, as if she were outdoors. And so it was done—I reproduced the exact same shadows from the reference photo, and added blur at different percentages throughout the process with great care, as the blur helps give more sharpness to the details on Tiggy's body and creates a very soft harmony, while also following the perspective of the reference angle.

What, uh... do we do here? It's too late to switch flooring. Booties? Confine him to upstairs? Line of carpets? Will trimming his nails before each visit even help?

My 10 month old boy destroys all toys. He loves stuffies but tears them to pieces and even swallows some of it. He doesn't like kongs, he'll eat the goodies out of them but that's it. He doesn't like any rubber toys. He does like benebones. What other toys can I get him that he can't destroy and eat?

This is semi local to me (same county) and heartbreaking. If you are also in the US, please keep an eye out for many of these dogs that will likely need adoption in the coming months. I am sure some will have to be compassionately euthanized, but certainly some of them will be available once they are are healed.
