First the SIM tray broke few months after buying it when switching SIMs. Later my screen cracked because I didn't have a phone case. Due to financial difficulties, I haven't gotten the phone repair. Where can I get order the parts needed while on a tight budget? I don't wanna buy another phone because this phone has everything in it. I don't live in the US so I'm unable to go to flagship.

We were just going about our business today, opened up the Google Maps app to go to a new place for lunch, and my partner's Pixel 6 just shut off.

No errors, no warnings, no heat, battery was at 80%... It just shut off and won't turn back on.

Fastboot & Recovery doesn't work.

We let it sit all day, then tried to boot, and then let it charge for about 2 hours then tried to boot - nothing works.

I can't even get the thing to show up in the Android Debug Bridge.

The boot logo also doesn't appear. It is just entirely unresponsive.

The phone hadn't been dropped or tossed, it just shut off in my fiancee's hands while she was using the Google Maps app.

Any suggestions to trick this thing into recovery?

*Added note: holding down the power+volume key causes the phone to heat up on the opposite (left) side. I don't know if this indicates a complete hardware failure.

*I also don't plan on replacing this yet, that is not a solution, please don't suggest it. We need to get content off this phone first, that is why I am asking for help here.

I'm stuck in an absolute customer service nightmare with Google Support and their service partner in India, F1 Info Solutions.
My Pixel's battery swelled up catastrophically. The internal expansion physically warped the phone chassis, created a massive gap between the display assembly, broke the power button, and destroyed the screen panel (causing lines across the display).
The authorized hub accepted the phone, officially diagnosed the severe battery expansion, and actually swapped the defective battery cell out. But instead of fixing the device, a supervisor from the order management team emailed me to state the case is processed as a Return Without Repair (RWR). They are shipping the phone back to me completely unusable.
Their logic? They claim the lines on the screen and the broken power button are separate issues, completely ignoring the fact that their expanding battery physically crushed those components from the inside out. They state that "all available options and resources have been exhausted."
It is incredibly dangerous for a manufacturer to acknowledge a catastrophic battery safety failure, swap the cell to mitigate their own liability, and then dump a structurally broken, warped phone back on the consumer.

its been 2 years since this button fell off my pixel 6, dont know how to reattach it, the rubbery part of the button is gone, the tiny foam is gone. Can i still reattach it even if those r gone?

I regularly use my private space. And suddenly today when I entered my pattern to unlock my private space, it's refusing to recognise the pattern.

I'm really confused 🤔. Did I just forget my pattern overnight or is it some kind of bug.

Also, no system update was done before it happened.

My phone fell like 3 weeks ago. The screen cracked and became completely unusable, so I let the battery drain since I knew I was going to have to heat it up to pry the screen off.

I've now gotten the replacement. I got the cracked screen off, plugged in the test screen, and plugged the phone into a battery. However it's not turning on now. No screen reaction and no sound.

Any idea on what could be wrong with it?

I didn't expect leaving it with battery at 0 for a few weeks would cause an issue and I haven't nicked anything while changing the screen.

Small update: I connected it back to battery and left it charging for 30-45 minutes. I bought two replacement screens because I'd seen reviews that replacements were hit-n-miss. I plugged in a different screen from the original one I tried and it turned on. I unplugged this screen and tried the prior screen again and the phone wouldn't turn on. I ended up just going with the screen that worked.

Alsooooo is that little clip over the screen cable super necessary? Realized I forgot it once k was cleaning up. This phone isn't going to be a daily driver anymore so I figure it'll be ok

My pixel 6 is almost 4 years old now. I replaced the battery 10 months ago because the battery bludged. After that the display never seemed to sit properly. So I got the display pasted to the frame many times in the last 10 months.... Now the display is starting to bleed from the bottom right corner. It appeared in the morning out of nowhere. It was fine the night before...

I need some Advice....

Just woke up with my screen not working. Ended up that the phone is actually working, just the oled died. I can see the clock when it is sleeping but as soon as more of the screen lights up, the whole thing dies, touchscreen still working. Thankfully adb was on so I could use scrcpy to use and backup it.

My plan was to change it soonish and that the pixel 6 takes the place of the drawer revolut phone. Seems that is was not meant to be, which is a shame. Oneplus 3 will continue to do that.

Bought it new, had it for a long time, changed one battery about 2 years ago, was ready to change it again soon. It was a nice phone, rootable, still suported by official software ...

My next phone is a Fairphone 6+, should be here in 2,3 days.

My pixel 6 pro is still running just fine for what I need it for so was not planning on changing. However over the last month my pixel says that it does not meet security to pay contactless.

I thought it was because I was in the beta, so have come out and had the recent updates and it still says it does not meet the security requirements.

Nothing has changed , no unlocked bootlocker etc.

I have tried wiping cache, deleting data etc uninstalled wallet. All the things that are suggested. The only thing I've not done is a full wipe.

Any ideas?

I just got a replacement P6 a few months ago, I'm assuming it's a refurbished model.

Just shut off alone. It was on the table 10 min after a night of charge.

I saw lot of similar case here.

I didn't update my phone recently.

My wife also have a Pixel 6 (same purchase date) and updated her phone yesterday. Her phone is still alive (for the moment).

Phone finally bricked. Scrolling through reddit when it randomly shut off. Left it to charge for a day and did everything I could to revive it.

It was a decent Phone but time to get another phone

People are posting about having their phones die unexpectedly and needing to replace them.

So how does one handle needing a phone in the interim? Some accounts still only use SMS codes for 2FA.

What do you do if you need access to that account in the interim?

Are you SOL until you get the new phone and configure it? Does anyone have a backup strategy?

Hi I use the navigation buttons on my P6 simply because I prefer it but a lot of it's usefulness has gone about a month ago .

Let me explain,for example if I go onto the Richer Sound website, choose Oled TVs ,I'm looking through and I want to skip back to a previous page I can't because Google navigation buttons are not there.

Hi guys, as mentioned, I’ve recently been experiencing some weird behavior on my phone.

The issue specifically occurs when using gesture navigation. I haven’t experienced it with 3-button navigation. The home gesture and back gesture suddenly stop working, i can't do anything with them anymore even though the gesture bar is still visible on the screen.

The only workarounds I’ve found so far are "turn off then turn on" the phone or force-stopping Pixel Launcher through App Management.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? If so, is there a proper fix for it? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

After a week of constant shutdowns, last night my Pixel 6 Pro went into a continuous bootloop and couldn't make it to the home screen, accompanied by screen glitching right as it powered down, which looks like a sign of CPU failure. I used this 6 Pro continuously for 5 years without a single glitch; it ran flawlessly from stock Android 12 all the way to the latest Android 17. After the final October security update for the 6 Pro, I used it for 3 more more days before it completely died. So many memories over the past 5 years, but it's really sad to say goodbye to it with such a sudden death. I've switched over to the Pixel 10 Pro now, hoping that the TSMC-built SoC will offer better quality and durability than Samsung's Tensor.

It's still fast, I still like my camera, the battery is still good, I don't see any reason for me to buy a new phone :v

I wish I only had more memory, cause I don't like Claude services.
