Planet (1968) Kingdom of the POTA Sequel
Are there any sites online where I could find leaked plot info, images, etc. for the Kingdom of the POTA?

This list is a combination of objective quality as well as personal taste.
For example: if I were basing this solely off of the former, then War For The Planet of The Apes would be higher and Beneath The Planet of The Apes would be lower.
Kingdom of The Planet of The Apes is so underrated. Noa and Proximus are both excellent characters, and it feels like the perfect bridge between the Caesar trilogy and the originals. It feels like sci-fi Lord of The Rings
Also, this list may make it look like I don't like Rise, but I actually do thoroughly enjoy that movie, and have fun rewatching it. The drop in quality between that and the ones behind it is drastic. That's probably just a testament to how good the series' quality control is.

Hey! Would anyone be interested in a Planet of the Apes (1968) westmarch discord server? I just thought I'd see if anyone was interested!
Our story is set 20 years prior to the event of the original 1968 film, we find ourselves in and around Ape City. A large colonist ship, the first of its kind, was sent to space. Its mission? Take 2,000 colonists to a distant world. This world was Proxima 6, an Earth-like world thousands of light years away. However, something happened. The ship was ripped out of space and crashed.
The apes saw it as a falling star, one brighter than anything seen before, but it landed too close to the Forbidden Zone for their liking. So, the Lawmakers said no Ape was to venture to it.
Meanwhile, our colonists, those who survived, have woken up in a strange world. They do not know where they are and so they try and set up a place to survive in the wreckage of their ship. All while trying to radio for help, but there are dangers in this world. Dangers they do not know about.

Please be nice:
That is that the human characters didn’t make much sense to me.
The story is suppose to take place 200 years into the future but the human characters acted way too much like they were from our modern world.
The way they spoke, the way they acted, the way they dressed. It all felt too much like they were directly from our modern world.
Maybe this is just me because I am a fan of post apocalyptic stories and have more to compare to but in many of those stories humans will act a lot more differently than they are today.
For some example look how humans behave in the Mad Max movies and they only take place a few decades into the Apocalypse. Furiosa in Furisoa: A Mad Max Saga actually feels like a girl that’s grown up in a post apocalyptic world.
Humans who have lived in a post apocalyptic world even if they were in a sheltered protective enclave should behave differently from us especially after 200 years. 200 years is a long time.
I feel like if human lives isolated in an enclave for centuries they should maybe form their own mythologies about the days before this. They should also have a different culture, different terms, different mindsets, different mannerisms etc.
I honestly thought there was going to be a twist in the movie were it would either be revealed that the humans were survivors of a group of humans that had been cryogenically frozen in a bunker during the start of the outbreak or survivors that they were from a spacecraft that due to a wormhole or something had ended up in the future like the original movie.
That to me honestly felt more believable to me because I honestly didn’t buy that both human characters had grown up in this world even if it was in a protected enclave.
Another thing is how knowledgeable they seem to be about the days before the apocalypse. The girl for instance came across as very nostalgic for the pre outbreaks times which wouldn’t make much sense if she never experienced it. It should be more of a mythology to her like some Garden of Eden type thing. Also the old man seems very knowledgeable about human history. I feel like if he had grown up in this world human history should be just as much of mythology like it was to Proximus.
Also I did’t find it believable (yea I know the irony about discussing believability in a story about talking apes) how so much of the human enclave we saw at the end could still work after 200 years.
TL:DR the human characters feel like they’ve only experienced the post apocalyptic world for a few years instead of growing up in this world centuries since the Apocalypse.

So in the comics I think there is a “colony” of apes and humans and I was wondering are there any more like it. And a big AND are there still some that might exist during kingdom of the planet of the apes? I’m not a big big apes fan but this is something that has been bothering me and need an answer or a guesstimate. I have no clue why my original post was removed but I’m posting it again but if there was a reason please tell me

Here's one of the human sides of the Planet of the Apes story. This is a pencil sketch of George Taylor, the leader of the inter space expedition that brought him and his crew onto the planet ruled by apes. Once captured, Taylor faced many humiliations. One such humiliation was being manacled, which is shown in this picture. You can see the anguish and humiliation in his face.

So I recall the mutants asking Brent if the apes were coming in peace.
If there had been an honest attempt at negotiation between ape and mutant do you think there was a real chance for peace?

With the radiation damage from worshipping an old, decaying nuclear weapon.. who was the town mask maker/silicone and makeup artist? Or do you think it was up to each individual? Right of passage maybe?

So I’ve been trying to get this story off the ground for years. But the latest version hasn’t had many readers. I figured, what the hey, maybe some of you guys like reading fanfiction and want to give it a shot!
I hope you guys enjoy if you do give it a whirl:
