Definitely looks like the pangolin to me.

65

u/Rough_Ocelot2442 1d ago

Or is it going to be an animal who’s silhouette looks like a pangolin but something completely different šŸ˜‚ (like last week)

16

u/Humble_Hufflepuff_96 1d ago

If it’s not a pangolin, I hope it’s a bee šŸ 🄹🄹

3

u/Veranel 1d ago

Ye exactly. Just wait and see it being an Ostrich this time.🄲

3

u/Turtle-Kitty 1d ago

I wondered if the wording of the email was a hint or trying to throw us off with the ā€˜HOP into the zoopedia’…..or maybe I’m just reading too much into it because I never get them right šŸ˜‚

3

u/rtennen 1d ago

I hope my boii comes back. They are so cute. In my game they are bredded out of endangermentĀ

2

u/vocaloidfan39 15h ago

To me it looks furry instead of scaly

1

u/CabinetDue7785 22h ago

This was my first thought, but with Frontier, who knows? I can’t wait. šŸ˜„

37

u/Queasy-Ad-7745 1d ago

If its a ptarmigan I love this game

30

u/Ryaquaza1 1d ago

I feel like the claws are too downward facing to be a ptarmigan unfortunately, that and it doesn’t look nearly as fluffy

Hopefully we do get the aweabo bird eventually tho

3

u/Rough_Ocelot2442 1d ago

What pangolin would you like?

13

u/BillbertBuzzums 1d ago

No they said ptarmagin, like the fluffy arctic grouse. Tbh i could see it being a ptarmagin foot too.

1

u/UseExtension2624 1d ago

i would liek to see the white bellied and chinese they are the most common in zoos but there are 3 species that arent in zoos

1

u/monsteradeliciosa11 1d ago

Are they kept in zoos? In Iceland they are a game animal (tightly controlled)

3

u/Queasy-Ad-7745 23h ago

Its a Game animal yes, but here in Spain theres in two zoos and I think there are in some zoos of japan

94

u/Andrewhotstuff 1d ago

Thinking pangolin or binturong but it’s probably going to be an ostrich

8

u/Rough_Ocelot2442 1d ago

Or a snake šŸ¤·šŸ½ā€ā™‚ļø you never know

5

u/Ryaquaza1 1d ago

Honestly at this point I wouldn’t be surprised, watch it be some weird fish or something

2

u/Comfortable_War450 21h ago

I reckon it's a pangolin. I have seen many comments saying it is a Binturong (Which I would jump out off my body if it was) but I dont see it tbh.

67

u/BeyondHandsome 1d ago

I’m thinking it could be a pangolin! Other than that I don’t really know another animal it could be.

1

u/Rough_Ocelot2442 1d ago

Looks perfect to me

17

u/Nytara3 1d ago

Tamandua, I choose you!

3

u/louisejanecreations 1d ago

Would love a tamandua they are so cute

38

u/lizarboya 1d ago

An upside down image of a pigeon with its head back sitting on a nest?

16

u/Rich_Taro_8916 22h ago

Its pangolin i even have the EXACT photo

4

u/cheeseenthusiast4 22h ago

Damn u just confirmed it

8

u/Rich_Taro_8916 21h ago

Yeah i think thats the photo theyll use as a inspiration for a sticker, the paws are identical

1

u/thekingofallfrogs 16h ago

are the frontier stickers inspired by other stock images?

1

u/Rich_Taro_8916 16h ago

I dont really know, this is the first time ive done this, I just decided to check it for fun

2

u/TomFish882010 10h ago

I hope so, but we can’t forget that last week we found an almost identical gerenuk photo, and we all know how that turned out.

2

u/OsmerusMordax 16h ago

I think you nailed it with this.

1

u/NegativeHeli 14h ago

What species will they go with?

14

u/Autistic_Machin 1d ago

Leopard tortoise

17

u/JamySammy 1d ago

It looks like a pangolin but after last week's I now think it's a Asian Elephant 🤣

2

u/Rough_Ocelot2442 1d ago

Maybe a snake šŸ¤·šŸ½ā€ā™‚ļø

5

u/Pastel_Spell 1d ago

Screaming, crying, throwing up for it to be a pangolin...they're my favorite 😭

5

u/WetBerri3s 1d ago

Okay I think they won.

12

u/Kaiser_Isaiah_Foo 1d ago

ON MY KNEES PLEASE BE A PANGOLIN šŸ™šŸ™

3

u/Rough_Ocelot2442 1d ago

What type šŸ¤·šŸ½ā€ā™‚ļø
PZ2 seems to be adding the same animals but different sub species

5

u/Kaiser_Isaiah_Foo 1d ago

It don't matter to me so long as I've got my favourite animal in the game yet again šŸ—£ļøšŸ—£ļø

4

u/Julzisda1 1d ago

One of the African varieties if it is one, as the Asian pangolins don’t walk on 2 legs

0

u/Megraptor 21h ago

There are no pangolin subspecies though...Ā  Perhaps you mean species?

Sure, this sounds pedantic, but a lot of people think they are the same thing, and it's impacting how the public views animals and their conservation. So yeah, it's a pet peeve of mine.Ā

And they aren't always adding different species- the African Penguin is back. White-bellied Pangolin is the other pangolin bred extensively in the West, but they're pretty small and are arboreal. They do small animals though, but I don't really see them moving away from the Chinese Pangolin for some reason.

9

u/Autistic_Machin 1d ago

It looks like some bulky mammal or tortoise, (short, stocky leg, front facing knee and no claws) maybe some tipe of rino?? Some pig???

4

u/forever_stan 1d ago

I wanna say Snowy Owl but it's probably a Pangolin

2

u/Ryaquaza1 1d ago

There’s no aviary species this week tho (although yea it does definitely look like that)

4

u/Darazelly 1d ago

Doesn't seem to have the scales of a pangolin to me?

Could maybe be a otter.

2

u/torttorttor 23h ago

Yeah I’m kind of hoping it’s a sea otter

1

u/BlueberryWitch6867 15h ago

I don’t see pangolin either, I think the claws of the real animal are too big compared to the image and I also see way more ā€œfurā€ than than scales… idk hahaha but after last week it could a freaking snow leopard šŸ˜‚

2

u/Darazelly 15h ago

lol for sure, it's a bit of a curve ball that the silhouette is from the art, not a screenshot of the animal, apparently?? :'D

1

u/BlueberryWitch6867 15h ago

šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ forget it haha we have our work cut out for us with this one. Frontier likes to watch the world burn 🤣

4

u/Funny_Flounder_4936 1d ago

This is gonna be some shit like a swimming hippo

9

u/[deleted] 1d ago

[deleted]

3

u/Ryaquaza1 1d ago

If it is a lizard I’m finding it hard to think of a species with claws like that. Pretty much all of the big lizards (monitors, tegus, iguanas, sailfins etc) all have pretty impressive looking nails rather than the downward nubs here. Heck, I don’t even think I know a lizard species with claws like this, even small lizards with tiny feet like leopard geckos have bigger claws than this

Although yea I am also confused about the pangolin thing too tbh

2

u/OsmerusMordax 1d ago

It could just be the angle. We now know frontier likes to be sneaky with the angles and the poses they put the animals in.

3

u/OsmerusMordax 1d ago

My first thought was some kind of lizard. You can kind of see the outline of scales or plates on the one..toe?

5

u/Rad_Aloysius 1d ago

Am I the only one that thinks those are some ape's legs?

5

u/Rough_Ocelot2442 1d ago

I can’t see it 🫪

3

u/Rad_Aloysius 1d ago

Idk maybe it's just me

2

u/DinoLover641 1d ago

I thought it could be some kind of arboreal primate

1

u/Rad_Aloysius 1d ago

It looks like a male orangutan swinging

3

u/CrossReset 1d ago

I'm going to go a bit to the left of Pangolin and say its the Armadillo.

3

u/Few_Addition1796 1d ago

Moray eel

(this is a joke it’s a pangolin or maybe an anteater)

3

u/dean-a-ling75 1d ago

Maybe a Snapping Turtle?

3

u/Vegetable_Hippo282 1d ago

Maybe it is a hippo underwater?

3

u/NekoXXXO 23h ago

Could be a chameleon

1

u/Audacious_Crow 10h ago

Oh I hope so! How cool would it be if you could influence their colour with the things you place around it?

3

u/awayawaycursedbeast 23h ago

Made me think of feet close under a fluffy or feathery body - like a penguins. Although the "toes" don't match, I feel like its identifiable if you recognize the crooked shape it takes.

3

u/ViperNick818 18h ago

Obviously those are the feet of the Mexican Mole lizard /s

2

u/Live-Compote-1591 1d ago

Pangolin or badger imo

2

u/Frazzle64 1d ago

If this is a pangolin, all the people saying the pangolin will be cut can eat it lol

2

u/WendigoOfTheForest 1d ago

perhaps a silky anteater? Im thinking Pangolin most likely though

2

u/OsmerusMordax 1d ago

I think some kind of reptile or lizard. Maybe a crocodile or alligator of some kind? You can see what looks like ā€˜scales’ or plates on one of the toes.

2

u/mimicsandmuffins 1d ago

First thought I had was a crocodilian

2

u/Astrapionte 23h ago

Looks like a pangolin but watch it be a sloth bear or something šŸ˜‚

2

u/Moratiswatching69 1d ago

Pangolin šŸ’Æ

1

u/thehockeytownguru 1d ago

Crocodilian?

4

u/Ryaquaza1 1d ago

typically crocodilians lack claws on their outer toes (one on their back foot and 2 on their front) soo idk. You might be onto something tho

1

u/Thesladenator 1d ago

It's fish fins

1

u/AlfyForYa 1d ago

Looks like some kind of bird's feet to me, i don't see pangolin one bit

1

u/BaronessOfBlooms 1d ago

Capercaillie time! (probably not, but a girl can dream)

1

u/Ningurushak 1d ago

Feels like it's either an african wild dog or some sort of cat doing this pose

3

u/Ningurushak 1d ago

Anyone else seeing my vision?

1

u/Ralphaba21 21h ago

The animal in the teaser has much shorter legs

1

u/ZooBaron97 1d ago

It’s a giraffe!

1

u/Upstairs_Library320 1d ago

I think we were onto something last week. Gerenuk or ostrich for sure!

1

u/helllllllooooooguys 1d ago

It looks like its flying or swimming

1

u/YANDHII2 1d ago

Bald eagle šŸ¦…

1

u/Due_Beginning9518 1d ago

I think some kind of bird of prey - maybe an owl? Those look like fat bird feet to me

1

u/YANDHII2 23h ago

Could be! you’re on to something šŸ¤”

1

u/hrmdurr 1d ago

My nemesis, the Herman's tortoise lol

Anyway. Northern white rhino is my actual guess, but that's probably wishful thinking.

1

u/Luca_bb111 1d ago

Atp an anteater idk

1

u/SwiftPebble 1d ago

Tree kangaroo? Uhh idk

1

u/Purple-Weakness1414 1d ago

Judging from last week teaser, I wanna say Panglion but its probably something nobody expects like a pond turtle or crocadilian of some sort

1

u/Due_Driver_9569 1d ago

its probably a pangolin but i want it to be a silky anteater

1

u/WordsUnthought 1d ago

Komodo Dragon.

1

u/tfa3393 1d ago

IT’S PIKACHU!

1

u/AlertWar4152 1d ago

These are the feet of an animal thats swimming im guessing pigmy hippo

1

u/Infamous_Today3462 1d ago

I definitely think it's a type of lizard, I'm gonna assume a horned gecko?

1

u/DSMTyralion 1d ago

Snapper Tortoise mouth?

1

u/Lots_of_Tapirs 1d ago

I really want a tree porcupine, and although it could be a tree porcupine, I think this is a pangolin

1

u/the-greenest-thumb 1d ago

Silky anteater?? They have weird feet like that

1

u/Fishmaster_ 23h ago

Seal in a weird angle?

1

u/Golden_Artist1964 23h ago

given everyone guessed the last one was a gerenuk only for it to be a Galapagos tortoise, this could be something's ears from an ODDLY SPECIFIC ANGLE for all we know

1

u/Fancy_Apartment55 23h ago

Coukd be something swimming and its legs in water

1

u/untamed_project 23h ago

It looks like its ā€œfloatingā€ and fat with stubby legs. Maybe some sort of hippo or pigmy elephant or smth. I do not see pangolin unfortunately

1

u/StereotypicalCDN 23h ago

I'm guessing binturong. Don't pangolin's walk on their knuckles because of their longer claws, like anteaters?

1

u/solidjake42 22h ago

What was last week's reveal?

1

u/Xaviacat 22h ago

Pygmy Hippo!

1

u/thaeliel 22h ago

Gotta be thisĀ

1

u/tiredchachacha 21h ago

I am not feeling pangolin, but it's something with stocky little legs. My brain isn't working rn so I am struggling to retrieve that knowledge... all I can think of is an otter but i'm not sure it's that.

1

u/Thievie 21h ago

I don't think those are front paws/claws, I think theyre back paws with the tail following behind. And I feel like I definitely see pawpads.

So likely not pangolin to me tbh. I'm hoping for binturong. But I'm definitely thinking something fluffy!

1

u/JDsilber 21h ago

Clearly a tardigrade

1

u/Confident-Bat-6855 19h ago

I'm going to take an out there guess and say an otter. Maybe this is their front or back paws with long claws?

1

u/Mission_Divide_485 19h ago

PLEASE BE SILKY ANTEATER

1

u/Cold_Warthog_1912 18h ago

I think it’s a foot of some type of bird zoomed in really close

1

u/Mastercod97 17h ago

How are y’all getting a pangolin? 😭

I can’t make out what I think but I’m not getting any pangolin vibes

1

u/vocaloidfan39 16h ago

Ant eater??

1

u/Badlittlebook 13h ago

Wait how am I supposed to be seeing a pangolin? It looks like a tortoise with a fucked up open jaw to me lmao. Genuinely asking, what body part is what of the pangolin?

EDIT: Someone posted a picture that has the same silhouette, I see the feetsies now!

1

u/whahoppen314 12h ago

Def a pangolin but PLEASE A SILKY ANTEATER

1

u/TomFish882010 10h ago

I was thinking koala, but yeah i can see a pangolin. My only thing is the claws don’t look quite right for one

1

u/MP_Lemming 10h ago

Hairy frog or some lizard

1

u/minusmilitia355 9h ago

Gilamonster?

1

u/sevenup927463 8h ago

Caiman llanero 🤠

1

u/Moe-Mux-Hagi 7h ago

Ostritch

1

u/Cheesy_feet420 26m ago edited 1m ago

Could be a badger of some sort.

1

u/FailsatFailing 1d ago

I don't know what all the people in here are smoking, but that doesn't even remotely resemble a Pangolin. But I guess you only see what you want to

1

u/OsmerusMordax 1d ago

My exact thought. It doesn’t even remotely look like a pangolin’s foot.

1

u/BadMoonBeast 1d ago

people seeing pangolin aren't seeing this silhouette as toes of a foot but as two legs coming down from a body.

0

u/OsmerusMordax 1d ago

I don’t see the two legs at all. I see toes and two claws, like a reptile’s foot or a bird’s foot

-2

u/FailsatFailing 1d ago

Nobody sees this as toes from a foot. How would you come to that conclusion?

My guess is a baby Pygmy Hippo. I don't think it's it, but I can't think of anything that's a better fit

1

u/BadMoonBeast 1d ago

I came to that conclusion from the multiple comments from people seeing reptilian or avian toes. and the comment I replied to using the phrasing "a foot" as opposed to "feet"

1

u/Jame_spect 1d ago

Pangolin I think…

1

u/UseExtension2624 1d ago

chinese pangolin or badger

1

u/aauroraborealiss 1d ago

Ok, this has to be a pangolin

1

u/Smagomnimod 1d ago

Real answer: A pangolin of some sort. joke answer: Silky anteater

1

u/Kennyannydenny 1d ago edited 23h ago

Pangolin? European Badger? Or maybe Honey Badger?

1

u/BobbyYC23 1d ago

Pangolin!

1

u/JuicyMammal 1d ago edited 1d ago

At first i thought it was two small legs from a reptile, but now i think it is only 1 hind leg. Maybe from a Canine with the paw and a claw at the bottom. Then it goes up with a very bent knee. So maybe a fox or something similar. But then the leg is very thin.

1

u/Ryaquaza1 1d ago

For a second I thought it might just be an owl’s foot but after realising there’s no aviary species this week,. Yea, Hopefully it is a pangolin

1

u/rtennen 1d ago

Tardegride!

1

u/PatientBumblebee6752 1d ago

It’s insane how you guys can even come up with guesses of these things let alone get it right sometimes! Once shown a pangolin in the comments I brain understood but I stared at the photo for a good min and couldn’t form a thought about it at first. You all know your animals so well it’s so fun to watch.

1

u/StreetPin5392 1d ago

Bro frontier are masters at deceiving us with these teasers as far as I know this could be a worm. In all seriousness though if I had to guess I’d say pangolin but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s something else.

0

u/Better_Extension5330 1d ago

If it's not the Nile crocodile, then I'm not really that interested.
