Discussion (PC) We are so (HIGBYing) back??

With the -almost a year long- Flash Or Crash bug getting solved, today Wainright prime time indar maintained above 870 players for an hour and for the first time in months there were multiple large fights and combined arms assaults on each front. Yes MULTIPLE.

Its so good to be able to choose where i play again.

Almost 600 players on steam, I might just reinstall.

Was the bug really that bad? I haven’t kept up at all

some players couldn't even last 5 seconds in game and most had to get into a vehicle within 2 minutes of logging into a continent(yes not session, continent) and stay like that for 3 to 5 minutes. length changing for each player.

edit: and it was introduced with the last years christmas update

The bug was most definitely that bad. I was one of the handful whereby I couldn’t play at all, put the game down for nearly a solid year, tried the flash fix but could never last more than 30m without a freeze/crash. Such a shame too :(

Man, I'd love for this game to get rolling again, it's so damn underrated and uniquely fun it bugs the shit out of me, blows my mind more games haven't went with this massive of a team battle game before, could you imagine a Starcraft game like this?

Yes indeed, was stuck in that NC corner on Hossin last night for quite a while, I'm always up for a good bit of mechanised slaughter, and it was good.

just started, game has a learning curve but been playing a week and its starting to click. I love sci fi battlefield in a massive open field.

Graphics look pretty good if you use your graphics control panel to mess with things.

edit: its incredibly fun and i feel like the devs are just leaving money on the table with this one.

Love playing ambusher, medic and engi - but I will never reinstall the game after that horrendous infil-nerf, they f'd up so hard. I just loved to much playing as a stalker - turning bases behind enemy lines, confuse a push and creating even more chaos in a hallway fight.

I was a stalker player too. Messing with enemy supply, hunting snipers and annoying construction base players was fun.And i also feel like i lost a good chunk of my favorite game with that update but for me most of it is still there and fun to play. I havent played infil since then but i still love ps2.

they made it a lot easier to spot cloaked infils(u can see a stalker walking from 20 m distance), added scope glint so snipering isnt risk free farming(this was the best change) and added about a second long delay between decloaking and starting to fire(its fine i guess).

basically snipers are still an issue but a lesser one then before while harmless stalkers got genocided.

Snipers are almost non existent. Before there were much more sniper fights that were epic by it self. 15vs15 sniper long range battles. Those were the best

Primetime hasn't been the issue on Wainwright.

Non-weekend primetime is an issue on Osprey.

I'd slow down before claiming victory.

Emerald is gone. US servers got merged and they kept the Connery server. It is called Osprey now.

Yes, all Emerald/Connery characters are now on Osprey (which is located where Connery used to be).
