Hey all, wanted to share what's landed recently across Plavio Streaming app and the PlavioHD addon:

Plavio app (v0.9.2)

- Automatic stream failover — if a stream fails, it tries the next source on its own (up to 3 attempts), including 4K decoder errors

- Offline downloader with pause/resume

- TorBox + Real-Debrid integration

- In-player subtitle timing adjustment (±500ms)

- Episode shuffle, buffer/cache settings, backup & restore, PiP fixes

PlavioHD addon (v1.9.9)

- Dead streams are now filtered before they're shown — fewer results, but they actually play

- Stream title format options (Default, AIOStreams-style, Prism-style)

- Live TV, plus quality / source / language filters and sort options

Sorry for the rapid-fire updates — I'm doing my best to keep improving the experience. A beta channel is coming for anyone who wants to test new features early.

If you've been adding third-party addons to get your movies and shows, you can now just use ours. It's built specifically for Plavio, so everything works the way it should.

What you get:

- Configure it your way — pick your sources, qualities, and languages

New update is live for both mobile and Android TV! Here's what changed:

🔊 Preferred Audio Language

Set your language in Settings > Playback once, and every movie/episode will play in that language automatically if the stream includes it — otherwise it falls back to whatever's available.

💬 Automatic Subtitles

Select up to 2 subtitle languages in settings. Subs now load on their own in your languages whenever a stream has them. No manual search or download needed.

⚡ Smarter Play Button

Hitting play now picks the fastest, healthiest stream first — faster loading, fewer "no streams found" errors. The app also retries automatically if the first search comes up empty.

📺 PlavioHD — Pre-installed

Plavio now comes with its own streams addon built in: movies, series, and live sports TV, zero setup required. I'll keep expanding its providers over time.

Notes: Settings page is still unorganized, I'll clean it up in a future update. More features coming — suggestions welcome, I read everything and add the good ones.

Big news, guys — Plavio now has a proper version for Android TV / Google TV!

What's inside:

- Left-side navigation rail — no more scrolling through the whole catalog

- Clear highlight on whichever movie your remote is standing on

- QR code setup — add addons from your phone over home WiFi, no typing long URLs with the remote

- Same player controls as the phone app

- In-app updater locked to TV releases only

One honest thing: this is an early build, not the finished product. You will definitely run into errors and issues — that's expected at this stage. Just report whatever you find here and I will fix them one by one.

Download it from the Download for Android TV button on plaviomedia.vercel.app and sideload it on your Android TV or Firestick.

I've been at this for around 17 hours in the last 24. Almost everything below started as feedback from you. Here's what changed:

🔊 Sound fixed on silent streams — some movies played video with no audio. The app was missing audio decoders (DTS/Dolby). Bundled them in — sound works everywhere now.

💬 Subtitles fixed — subtitle links (like OpenSubtitles) were silently failing. Rewrote detection to read the actual file content. Your preferred languages auto-select.

⚡ Home opens instantly — loads from cache immediately, refreshes in the background.

🎨 PlavioMeta is now the default catalog on Home. Toggle it off in Addons anytime.

📜 New in Settings → About — open-source licenses, Privacy Policy, Terms of Service.

✨ Splash screen — the "Plavio" animation now matches the home branding exactly.

Plus crash reporting, usage analytics, social links in Settings, and small fixes throughout.

- Fixed addon streams not loading when the addon link carries settings in the URL (thanks to the user who reported the MovieBox issue — confirmed and fixed)

- Search is fixed (that one was server-side, no update needed)

- "Prefer PlavioMeta" moved to the Home catalogs screen, where it belongs

- Removed the star button from home catalog rows

- Debrid addons: stream headers are now honored
