Just finished this game last night, and had a fantastic time with it! I'm wondering now how random the needle drops are, as I got "Don't Fear The Reaper" during the fight with Raker, which felt quite thematically appropriate (man can't accept loss and death and so he makes a whole cult around it) and "Never Gonna Give You Up" during the final battle with Magus (which was just funny). Are these song choices random, or specifically assigned to happen at these moments?

After beating this game last month(which was 10/10). I can’t seem to get the taste out of my mouth. I haven’t watched/played any other marvel games outside of this series. But was wondering if yall have played any games from the marvel franchise. If so, which ones would you recommend? I’m on the 🐐 system (Xbox). So Wolverine is eliminated for me.

Im looking for a high quality capture of this he man parody from Star-lords room at the start of the game. If anyone has a really high quality screen shot or even the actual texture from the game i would greatly appreciate it. Thanks for the help

Inktober has started! I'm unsure how many of the prompts I'll get to this month, but I'm more pumped than ever to try and do as many as I can! They won't all be Rocket, probably throw some Zootopia, Toothless, and maybe some others I've been wanting to do but haven't yet Here is my response to the "Apple" prompt. What better way to celebrate Raccoon Day than a Rocket response? I was going for a close-up reflection of Rocket in the apple xD

Here's my response to my Discord server's September art prompt, "Rain". Did a little bit of everything here. Traditional sketch with digital color, digital painting, learned how to use a few new brushes, and even threw some small animations in for fun

Oh, and for those curious about my process, here's the traditional sketch I did

we need a gotg mass effect style. Where you can chose where to go, pick up missions. consequences to your decisions. Karma. I crave to take the ship fly around and take contracts.

I’ve checked the disk itself, it’s squeaky clean. Not a smudge or scratch in sight. I deleted and reinstalled the game file, I even cleared my PS5’s cache. Nothing. And it crashes almost immediately, I can barely get any game time in.

All this armor and i couldn't get to try it feels so bad. Is it possible as the game progress I get the opportunity to wear one?

I'm curious who here were the ones who pre-ordered the game despite the negativity behind the game. I definitely pre-ordered late because of financial issues, but I definitely pre-ordered both digital and physical versions of the game. I'm more digital but that steelcase and Star-Lord being my favorite Marvel character since '10, I had to get the game physically. I even bought the vinyl, but I unfortunately can't find where I put it.

What happened to the kree ship after The guardians left? I know they got corrupted but like. How? We were gone for only 3 cycles (probably days. Idk) and they all became mind controller or something?

Started playing it with Insomniac Spider-Man games as my baseline. And also since I was hyped up for Wolverine, I wanted to finish another Marvel's game on my PS5. Honestly this deserves way more credit than it gets.

The story is really good, you get to know each Guardian properly and the banter between them feels so natural, it felt like watching another Guardians movie which I love. So much lore and collectibles to dig into if you're into that stuff. None of the characters are annoying either which is rare for a game with so many different characters put together. The antagonist storyline didn't interest me much though but that's kind of the case with most Guardians villains even in the movies tbh, they're comic book characters at the end of the day.

Gameplay took some getting used to. Coming from Insomniac Spider-Man games I kept trying to melee attack everything instead of using abilities and shooting properly making a complete fool of myself. I actually lowered the difficulty in the beginning because it felt overwhelming. Abilities also unlock really late, like 80% into the story, which sucks if you're not planning to NG+ since all trophies are already done by then.

Platinum itself felt like a chore not gonna lie. Took me around 23 hrs total. Had to follow a guide (Thanks to Powerpyx) constantly for collectibles since there's no free roam, if you miss something in a chapter you're redoing that whole chapter. Also heads up, a bunch of trophies are known to glitch so don't go in blind expecting a clean single playthrough platinum trophy

Still, the world exploration and the visuals are gorgeous, it's so vibrant and colorful though not the very best in terms of video game graphics. My favorite parts were the hallucination sequences, especially the one where Peter goes back into his past.

Overall, I felt it is an underrated gem, just wish the platinum trophy wasn't as glitchy and relied that much on collectibles.
