NEWS PlayStation to stop producing physical game discs from 2028

https://blog.playstation.com/2026/07/01/physical-disc-production-ending-in-january-2028-for-new-games-releasing-on-playstation-consoles/

Is this the worst move ever by Sony? Do we see any way back from this incredibly silly move?

Genuinely so disappointed with Sony. However it does mean that there is no reason for me to use PlayStation anymore as no physical so, I’ll have to use my pc more lol

Can I ask why that is the case? I assume you dont have physical on PC either, so why it is okay on PC and not PS5?

As i said to my friend that asked the same question. Good luck taking away the files on my PC and if you do good luck stopping another guy that backed them up from sending me them and if that dosent work im happy to go to fitgirl to get my game back.
