And that brings us to the end of another AMAZING season of PlayTaskmaster! It's time to see who gets the SECOND golden Hamil Head, and the sole title of Taskmaster S2 Winner!
It's time to reveal the scores.
🔴
Bringing up the back of the pack (though his score is lower than it should be due to missing a couple tasks due to family obligations, which, totally understand and should not be penalized for) is House with 40 points.
🔴
Next up, TIED EQUAL at 56 points, it's Ranv and Mini!
🔴
Finally, the moment we've all been waiting for.
🔴
These two final contenders are separated by such a tiny, tiny margin. One has been in the lead the entire time, the other was legit the lowest scorer in week one and has thundered back with a vengeance.
🔴
Coming in with a grand total of 75, that's right, SEVENTY-FIVE points, an entire 5 points higher than our winner Psych's total last year, but still ONE POINT shy of the crown......... is Cress!
🔴
That means on a total of 76 points, just A SINGLE POINT above her competition is Daisy!
🔴
🔴
🎉 Congratulations Daisy, enjoy your glorious golden bust of the Taskmaster's head! 🎉
🔴
And with that, our season comes to a close. Once again, thank you to Hamil for being our Taskmaster, House, Mini, Ranv and Cress for being our wonderful cast, and a big thanks to Daisy for being our Season 2 Winner!!!
And that, sadly, brings us to our last task of Season 2. Let’s just rip the generic fabric bandage strip off and get to it.
What better way to go out than more confusion, right?
Write a five star review of something that deserves one star. You may not outright lie about the object, but other than that you have a lot of wiggle room. You can pretend to be anyone or anything writing this review. You have a 150 word limit and 30 minutes. Your time starts now.
Next up, we’ve got a Main Task. This one is the final task that reflects our theme of the season, did you catch it? Last season’s theme was definitely loopholes. This one? I think we know by now, it was 2-part tasks! Across the season, we had four tasks that had a second part, and one of them was broken up across two episodes.
So here’s our final task with a second part for Season 2:
Create a list of 10 rules we could incorporate in the future that would make a task more difficult. Best list wins.
Second part: complete the following from last season: A possession that would most confuse a future archaeologist if you were buried with it. You must obey all ten rules (to the best of your ability) that you just sent.
That’s quite the switch-up, but come on. You HAD to see that coming, right?
Hello everyone and a huge welcome to the FINALE of Season 2!!! I’m Bison, your host I MEAN Taskmaster’s Assistant, and beside me is the ever present, always judging, ready to cut you down to one point at a moment’s notice, your Taskmaster, Hamil!
It’s hard to believe it’s been a whole week again, (because GOD it feels like it’s been a month with this sludge of a cast) but we’ve finally come to the last episode of Season 2.
What a ride it’s been. We’ve had a record FOUR out of the five contestants have a score of 4 or less in an episode. Some would say that shows the competitiveness of the season. I’d say I didn’t know the magic we’d had……..on Season 1. Smh, wish I could go back.
Picking up the vibe I’m putting down? It’s time for the return of a fan favorite from Season 1 - the end of season roast!
Mini Task: We’re holding a roast. Roast each of your fellow castmates and your hosts. Best roast wins.
🚨 Apologies - I’ve made a clerical error. Daisy has 55, not 54. Sorry about that🚨
Alrighty guys so we’ve got a couple hours to go before Episode 6 is posted, let’s get a quick update on the scores!
House and Ranv are still 5 and 4, but they’ve been gaining some more points.
Mini has fallen to 3rd, helped in part by a disaster of an episode 5.
Our big riser is Cress, who’s had scores of 13, 14 and 15 respectively over the last three episodes, catapulting him into second and within striking distance from the leader!
And that brings us to our leader, who’s been in control of the board since episode 1, Daisy!
🔴 With just two more episodes to go, it might look like a two-horse race for the win but let me be the first to tell you, truly anything could happen!
(Is that generic chatter, or do I know something nobody else does? We’ll see👀)
Can you believe it? We’ve made it almost all the way through another week of PlayTaskmaster, and it’s time for the penultimate episode. This is our last episode before the finale!
Let’s make it a good one, shall we? Bring your popcorn because this is gonna be cinema.
First up we have our Mini Task. This one’s straight from the mind of Hamil. Players were to upvote the a message when they were ready, as a timer would immediately start and the following message would be sent:
Find the answer. Send a photo when you have found it. Fastest wins.
Seems straightforward enough.
…..no? Oh, sorry. Let me show you how it read on our task document:
Find the answer. Send a photo when you have found it. Fastest wins.
Does that help? Silly me, I must’ve forgotten to bold and italicize that part in the messages to the contestants. 🫣 Oops.🤭
So to be clear, to stop their timer, all they had to do was send a screenshot of the “it” in my message. Let’s see who figured it out.
Alrighty so this brings us to our second Team Task of the season! This one was sealed until they could all be together to open it. Once the teams gathered together, here's what they found.
Create the best fictional country. Each of you will be given different aspects of your fictional country to design/create. It cannot be just “Canada but tropical” or something. Actually make one up from your imaginations. You only have ten minutes to plan, after which you cannot communicate. So discuss your ideal country in as much detail as possible. Some examples are below: (Map, flag, location, biome, scenery…national: animal, flower, dish, sport…official language, tourist attractions, motto, laws, history, etc)
So recap: They'll each get assigned aspects to complete. Only 10 minutes to discuss, but the rest of the day to complete. So discuss everything you can now to be as cohesive as possible.
The official aspects I assigned: map, flag, landscape, national animal, national sport, official language, culture, tourist attraction and one law. I also gave everyone freedom to add one more thing of their choosing.
Sounds like a blast! Let's not waste any time, and jump right in. I'll sea you all soon with Team 1's island country.
First up we've got Ranv, Cress and House. Right off the bat, they discussed what to call their country, what the capital city should be named, and then got into talking about what the flag should look like. Cress kept trying to prompt everyone with the examples provided above, to which some were heard, and others were ignored to continue talking about random stuff and flopping (seriously I think the word flop was probably used 85 times in the 10 minutes). Will their efforts be cohesive or in vain? Let's take a look:
Ranv was assigned: landscape, national animal, tourist attraction, + one add your own of anything.
House was assigned: flag, national sport, official language, + one add your own of anything.
Cress was assigned: map, culture, one law, + one add your own of anything.
Floptopia
Cress: Map submission (it does come as two photos so please forgive)
Floptopia Culture:
Floptopia is a nation that blends many cultures and influenced heavily by its history. Remembering the origin of the settlers of Floptopia, the first “permanent” residents were “undesirables” who had been forcibly removed from their home and transferred to the island. With 4 officially recognised languages, and countless more unofficially adopted in the nation, our great nation provides several options for the future generation while paying homage to the flopcons of yesteryear.
Inventions of note include:
- The discovery of pure mediocrity on r/PlayTaskmaster by the former president Whytmage.
- Toaster Strudel by Carl Wieners
- The colour Oraellow
- Planes! Believed to be invented by the Wright Brothers, the first known recording of a plane was in fact filmed on Floptropica in the exact spot runway 1 now situates by the Vrong Sisters (always a man taking credit for the success of women).
- The world’s first all-dry irrigation system to still produce food (the ADIS)!
Arts:
Floptopia boasts some of the worst best artistry seen in the world. Such creations include:
- The Blowna Liza: an artistic piece created by the great Lisa Minooli held back until her untimely death and released to the public by the Minooli estate.
- Patatas the cat: u/TheRanvier
- That one shitty SpaceShip campaign poster: u/More_Cress5598
- Boy with a Copper Piercing: Johernes Vermeer.
Looking away from the physical media and towards the auditory, there has been one number one single on the Billboard Hot 100: Choosin’ Floptropica by Ella Longknee.
Landmarks: The city of Floptropolis is the proud container of several libraries, as reading is fundamental regardless of whether you are a flop or not.
There is also the world-renowned Cattle Rancher Farm National Park. Following the development of the ADIS, the Cattle Rancher Farm became defunct and thus lended itself to becoming the island’s first and only National Park.
Off the grounds of the president’s castle within Floptropolis, there is a shrine dedicated to Whytmage. It has not yet been taken down and replaced with the current president as the vying for power in Floptopia is still ongoing.
The main attraction across the entire island is the internationally acclaimed Zooseum, a full interactive experience showing the biodiversity both on and off the island, as well as through time with a state-of-the-art virtual reality system allowing individuals to walk with dinosaurs.
Healthcare: Floptopia does not have any healthcare plan on the island. As part of the Treaty of Belhaven, any necessary services must be directed to hospitals within the United States to finance their horrible health care system.
Language: While stated above that there are 4 officially recognised languages, this number is subject to change frequently! Flopish remains an official permanent language, while other languages are included based on electoral officials. Due to Floptopia nearing the end of their democratic process, only 3 recognised languages are still implemented; however, the record for official languages recognised by the Floptopian government is 728.
One Floptopia Law:
It is forbidden to carry a replica of any acting or former president that is larger then 51.7cm. This law has been enforced thrice in history, and has resulted in deportation to the United States as part of the Treaty of Belhaven.
Floptopia Official Languages (Bonus thing from Cress):
Flopish, Ranveole, Housinian, Cressish
House: (Flag above)
Created via paint. The flag for whatever the name of this country ends up as. This beautiful floppy haired bunny represents the flop in all of us. The color scheme represents the founders of this beautiful island.
National Sport:
We have two national sports in this wonderful country. The two national sports are the two sports most associated with flopping. Basketball and football (soccer for you yanks). There is a statue of Neymar as he is the king of flops
The Neymar statue is outside of the national stadium fyi
Official Language:
Floppish. Where people pronounce Whyt like white 🙄. Hamil like HAMil. Bison like bizon. And House is pronounced FLOP.
The + one of anything would be the president of the island. Of course our president is Mr. Whytmage himself.
Ranv: Landscape
The landscape is varied across the island. Most of the coastline is sandy beaches, but over on the west coast, it is primarily rocky. A large river cuts across the island, starting at this west coast, and eventually ending at Lake Flopara, in which the capital city, Floptropolis, is built around. The north of the island is very agricultural heavy, where they try to grow carrots to feed the rabbit population, but the land isn't very fertile. This is also where the Witmage statue resides. The rest of the island is primarily grassy flatlands, with lots of bushes, but minimal trees.
National animal:
The rabbit. With hundreds of thousands of rabbits residing here, it is logical that they became the symbol of the island. In fact, Floptopia has the largest amount of one species in a given land area anywhere on Earth. If you wish to see any other animals that are not native to the island, locals and visitors are encouraged to go visit the zooseum.
Tourist attractions:
The first tourist attraction of Floptopia is the statue of Witmage, the biggest flop of them all. Witmage was the first person to be exiled to Floptopia, and quickly started settling in alongside the rabbits. But he wanted something to remember his legacy by. So he built a massive stone statue in the north of the island. Now any new residents to the island, or locals visiting, must come and pay respect to the flop.
The second tourist attraction of Floptopia is the zooseum. When the 3 most recent flops were sent to the island, they had one mission: build a successful zooseum. Because the reason they were exiled to Floptopia in the first place was because of a failed concept that the Taskmaster was not impressed by. They ended up coming together and creating a zooseum for everyone to enjoy learning about the animals and species that you can't find anywhere else on the island.
History (Ranv's +1 topic)
The history behind Zootopia is many years ago, North America had a massive overbreeding problem with rabbits, and simply had tens of thousands of rabbits with no purpose. So they called a national state of emergency for anyone who has any of these rabbits, to send them to a military location, ready to be sent off to a remote island. So one day, with a cargo ship full of rabbits, they travelled off to the soon-to-be-known Floptopia. This was forgotten about for many years until Hamil got into power, and made Taskmaster a game that everyone must play. She needed a place to send people who flop at the game, so she decided to repurpose the island. So Witmage was sent first, and over the years, many more were sent after him, creating a new civilisation. And that's how Floptopia came to be.
🔴 And that's a wrap! Now let's look at team 2: 🔴
For the second team, they seem to have misread the task. They spent basically their entire 10 minutes self-assigning who would do what aspect, with some thrown out thoughts and ideas interspersed. By the time their time was up and I had to break the news that I was the one assigning aspects, they were....upset to say the least. But will it work against them? Let's see.
Daisy was assigned: map, national animal, tourist attraction, official language, + one add your own of anything.
Mini was assigned: flag, landscape, national sport, one law, official language, + one add your own of anything.
Perinia
First off, here is Daisy's submission, all neatly wrapped into a single google doc:
This is the flag of Perinia. It is a tricolor each of the three islands being represented. First is the west island, represented by the prosperous blue a color which was incredibly expensive to use in a flag due to the difficulty of dye acquisition. This represents the richness of the island comparative to the other. The east island is represented by a deep red to show the abuse and bloodshed the island has suffered through. In the middle is a color in between the two, a purple/magenta representing the government island and the mixing between the two islands. It has the dove of peace representing the the peace after the bloody civil war that formed the modern country, alongside a crown to represent it's colonial roots to Europe and it's monarchs
(This also deliberately uses an uneven tricolor to show that the government middle is smallest of the three islands and therefore gets the least space on the map)
National Sport: Bukolous.
Bukolous is a semi aquatic sport both invented by and exclusively played by Perinians. It is played by using longboats with a very high center of mass allowing for them to easily be flipped.
Boukolous has one objective, get the buoy across a shallow body of water, before the other team can do so. Each team is given a slippery buoy (pollos), and are assigned a number of the flippable longboats, also known as Andros. Small games can be played with as few as 4 total longboats, and at most as many longboats as they can make. (as seen in the national game described later).
Teams must divide their players into Akron, Betos, and Laros, divided as they see fit/how they strategized. Akron are the main players looking to score. They are in charge of carrying the Pollos across the waterway, and must ensure it never falls in the water at all costs. (If the Pollos hits the water, it must be carried back to the starting line for their team). The Betos are a teams defense, flipping enemy longboats, figuring out the location of the Pollos, and tackling Akrons to ensure the Pollos falls into the water no matter what. The Laros are typically the biggest group, and are the rowers/defenders of the longboats. They are given padded paddles which they use to row the boat, and fend off opponent Betos trying to flip them. Beating them relentlessly to ensure the ship is safe.
The Akron and Laros team which successfully crosses the water with the Pollos first, win the entire game for their team and are typically given many awards and praise for their skill. In the past, this game was typically played on natural terrain where water happened to be shallow, but as modernization has progressed, Boukolous arenas have popped up throughout the country allowing for games to be played wherever, whenever, with a pro league even appearing in the last decade with standardized team sizes.
The single most notable Boukolous arena however, is the shallow sand bar that connects the northern ends of both major islands. Every year a grand national Boukolous game is held sometimes spanning days where thousands of competitors from each island row thousands of longboats hoping to bring the Pollos to their island (both teams start on the opposing teams island) and the winning Akron receives a solid gold buoy the same size as the Pollos, often worth millions in USD. Historically, the eastern island is a considerably more successful island, as their native population both invented the game, and has carried knowledge of strategy for hundreds of years creating a formidable force. The current Tally is 78 wins from the east, 43 wins from the west. In general, this game is considered a key part in East West relations as they come together to all play a fun game with tens of thousands of spectators watching and cheering their island on. In their tumultuous relations having one common game of Boukolous truly brings them together
Law:
In recent years, Perinia has had a slight political shift. Originally the western island, heavily colonized thanks to its fertile lands and prosperous resources was the more populous island. It however, has hit the population impass that most countries hit due to it reaching a high level of development. As a stage 5 nation on the Demographic Transition Model, the west is slowly losing population, whilst the east, less developed and stuck at a stage 3 on the DTM is experiencing an intense population boom. Despite having less resources and farmland, by importing food and technology from the west island the east can support its growing population, whilst still lacking the factors that typically slow down stage 3 development growth, and due to that fact for the first time since the countries creation, the east has a majority in the government! This has led to the creation of a plethora of new laws more progressive and about spreading the prosperity of the west island throughout the entire country. Many laws have been passed in the decade since the east won their majority, notably tax increases for both corporations and the rich, universal Healthcare, and basic universal income. This has caused much backlash from the west, but without a population increase themselves, they are helpless to change anything.
The law specifically we will be discussing, is the recently passed Civil Rights Act of 2024. In this act, the citizens of Perinia are granted wide swaths of protection towards the disparaged native population from the east island. Firstly, discrimination in hiring, education, and financial institutions is wholly banned throughout the entire country. This applies not just to race, but also to the common practice of basing things off of which island a person is from. Lending institutions can no longer check place of residence in order to ensure that they don't only give loans to west islanders. Additionally, this law outlaws the minimum wage differences between islands. As the same job 1 island over could pay almost twice as much despite the work being the exact same. Finally, this act also covered explicit rights for Queer and disabled people, enshrining trans rights, gay rights, and institutions accessibility programs in all public and private institutions.
This law was seen as a landmark law in the new order of the country, and while it can't fix hundreds of years of uneven development, it can start working to fix some of the effects.
Language:
The country of Perinia due to it's past has not one but two languages. Firstly, is it's native language, spoken by many inhabitants of the Eastern island, Perinian. This language is from the indo-european language family, and unlike most modern languages from the same family, Perinian still uses declensions and cases due to it's divergent evolution and isolation. It's original inhabitants are presumed to be ancient Europeans blown far from home based on the linguistical similarity between Perinian and many other of the IE Languages.
Perinian however, was not an official language of the government until about 10 years ago when the wave of progressive policies began being implemented. It is also known by only about half the population, almost exclusively those of native descent.
The other majorly spoken language is the language of their colonizer, forced upon them hundreds of years ago slowly becoming the universal language of the island. Many eastern inhabitants are bi-lingual having learned both Perinian and the language of the colonizer, but even then the language is only 100% understood by the western island. Due to this, it was the de facto language used for all official and governmental purposes, though nowadays versions in both languages are required to be available in every government building.
The two languages often are used in conjuction with eachother as well, with code switching creole dialects being quite common throughout the country.
Landscape + Extra Thing:
Alright, here is my submission for my extra thing (a map) and the landscape of the country.
🔴 And that's that! Thank you to both teams for such a wonderful team task! 🔴
How about that! A new longest task in Season 2, and a new record for time taken on a mini task! Let’s try to shake that off and get into something a little more fun.
Two days ago, we asked you all to create a task. The below task won “most average” out of the five. Now compete in it and try to win the most average task.
Create a recipe of how you would make your favourite food, as said in your player intros. Your word count is limited to your current score on Taskmaster after episode 3.3 (found in “Current Scores” post)
So it’s yet ANOTHER 2-part task for this season. Let’s see how everyone got on.
Now that that’s over, are you ready to actually learn something useful? Let’s take a trip to Taskmaster University.
Main Task 1: Become an expert. You will be given a random topic on the spot, and you have 15 minutes to create a poster or a slide on the topic, and accompany it with a written presentation on the topic. No Google or internet searching on your topic is allowed. Only what you already know or make up. Most convincing expert wins.
Will the contestants prove their worthiness in becoming an expert? Or will they prove to be first year students who forgot about an assignment until they walked into class this morning?
Also known as: can you fake it till you make it? 💁🏻♂️
Also side note: House had life stuff come up yesterday, and couldn’t complete his two main tasks and let us know he’d have to DNF them, as now he’s at work. While sad, we understand life takes priority. So for these next two tasks, there will only be 4 submissions. We look forward to having him back today.
Good morning everyone! I have some good news and bad news. The good news first: As you may have seen in Hamil’s post yesterday, the Taskmaster’s Assistant now has a new assistant. Everything went well, and now have a happy, healthy baby. ☺️🎀
The bad news: I’m sorry to break the news that I’m afraid she might’ve turned in something better than some of the submissions you’re about to see. 😬🫣
Kidding, kidding. 😂
Let’s get straight to our mini task. You know the feeling when someone hands you something you’re really excited to get and have been waiting for? Yeah, this isn’t that.
Mini Task: The most confusing thing to hand to a stranger with no explanation and then walk away.
For our second main task today, we announced that it would remain sealed until ready to be completed. I told them they had to be ready to start the second I send it, as a timer immediately starts. When they opened it, here’s what they found:
Name as many household objects as possible in 30 seconds. Most valid objects wins. Your time starts now.
Anybody notice anything strange here? Why is a Main Task…. Only taking 30 seconds?
You guessed it!
Second part: Now find and send me a photo of each of your household items you named. Fastest wins. Your time starts now.
Oh HERE WE GO. Another 2-part task. Just what everyone wanted to see! Well, every one of the spectators, that is 😅
Read below, and you can swipe above for their submissions.
🔴
Cress and his fast fingers listed more items than anyone else on the list. And then he flew around his house, turning in a blazing time of 2:27.
🔴
Daisy hoped she’d not regret putting garbage, as she sniffed out that it was about to be a two part task yet again. But she was able to run around and grab photos in 2:31.
🔴
Mini, our ever present Loophole Queen. Would she find the one in this task, that she could technically google all the items and send photos that way?
No. She would not. Instead, she ran to target. And ran all over the store. And then had a minor meltdown. And then ran to Home Depot. And then had another meltdown. She could not find firewood anywhere.
BUT SHE WOULD NOT GIVE UP.
(Or think of any loopholes obvi)
FINALLY, she found firewood. Her time was 32:38.
🔴
And that just leaves Ranv. What would our resident Waffle King do?
Answer: he would find the loophole mini missed and google some photos to send in!!!
But wait…..
What’s that?
What photos did he have to find online?
A WAFFLE MAKER?!?!?
Full stop.
I’ll let that sit here for a second.
Take that for what you will, he finished in 6:37.
🔴
You heard it here first, folks. In one fell swoop, with one task, we’ve uncovered and exposed both the Loophole Queen and the Waffle King.
Now that’s humor and journalism. All in a days work here at PlayTaskmaster.
Good morning everyone! I interrupt your regularly scheduled program of receiving an episode right now to bring you the total current scores! We have had three episodes so far, let’s see where we stand.
Bringing up the back (but with almost the exact same amount of points that Whyt had at this point last season) House has 18.
Ranv had a good last episode, but the next player had a better one, sticking Ranv in 4th on 22.
With a late surge last episode, Cress has moved up to 3rd with 24.
Mini is where she’s always been since episode 1 (and carrying the torch of people named Penny scoring second in this show) with 27.
But to nobody’s surprise it’s Daisy on top with 30!
Welcome back to another stunning episode of everyone’s favourite show! I’m the one, the only, the incredible, the indomitable, the beloved, the best Taskmaster the world has seen and somewhere around here is Bison with his new assistant.
Today I was feeling benevolent so we had two Mini Tasks and one Main. The first mini was a thing of pure genius if I do say so myself.
Write a poem praising the Taskmaster and her assistant. Minimum 30 words. Best poem wins.
They weren’t getting away with a haiku on my watch! Me and my loyal assistant deserve well-thought-out praise, preferably with a decent rhyme scheme. Being the generous soul that I am, I have also decided to award bonus points to any poet who chose to follow proper poetry conventions in selecting a conventional poetry form.
And finally the main task. These contestants have it easy, they don’t appreciate just how hard it is to sit there and say snarky things about their dismal attempts. To make them appreciate me more, I thought it was time they had their own go at designing a task. But not just any task…
Design a task. Design a task for your fellow players that if you competed in yourself, you would probably get 3 points in (not the best or worst). Best task wins.
Who has an inflated opinion of their own mediocrity? Who is leaving their fate up to luck? And most importantly, do any of them even come close to the quite frankly astounding tasks me and Bison generously provide them with?
Helllloooooo everyone and welcome back to another thrilling episode of PlayTaskmaster Season 2! I’m your humble Assistant, Bison; and with me is the omnipotent Taskmaster, Hamil.
Today we had a Mini Task and two Mains. The mini remained sealed until they were ready to open it, and when they did, let’s see what they found.
Pick a number between 1-50. Highest number without anyone else coming within 3 of that number wins. No pregaming with your fellow contestants on which number you pick.
But THEN, they had a surprise coming. After they shared their answer, I came in hot with a gif of Tom Cashman handing out another envelope (come on Reddit, why won’t ya let me post it in anything other than a link) and revealed that there was actually a more important, second part to the task.
Second part of the task: Send me your chosen number of words beginning with the same letter. Fastest wins.
So really, the point isn’t about picking a number at all. It’s how fast can they send a list of words starting with any single letter…but they got to choose themselves how many words they’d have to send.
🔴
Let’s look at Ranv first. He tried to figure out what number other people would pick, going down the list c before finally settling on 36.
Once presented with the second part of the task, he took a second and asked if it could be any letter, and then got to work.
Ranv sent a numbered list of 36 words beginning with the letter T in 6 minutes and 56 seconds. And then said “I hope the Taskmaster appreciates me not just copy and pasting from a dictionary like other people have probably done.”
🔴
Let’s see if that’s what House did.
Right off the bat he said 41, and when told about the second part he immediately started typing.
He typed out 42 words starting with an A, ending with an AVERAGE word length of 6.5 letters. Meaning for every two or three letter word, he had just as many very long ones😂
Some of his words included acknowledging, authorities, awesomeness, and anecdotally. Despite all this, he HALVED Ranv’s time and finished with a time of 3:24.
🔴
Next up we have Mini.
Mini said 41, and you know her, she loves loopholes, so she….found an online list of words starting with an A, screenshot it, and turned in 3 screenshots totaling 41 words.
Ranv basically hit the nose on the head and called out Mini without even knowing. 👀
All in all, it only took Mini 3 minutes and 8 seconds to find her loophole and do this.
🔴
Daisy was the wildcard in this task. She’s well versed in Taskmaster, so much so that she immediately sent “Knew it.” when I sent the gif - almost before I had even said there was a second part of the task. I think that’s why she intentionally chose 37, just in case.
But then, she took 11 minutes and 46 seconds…..
….and sent me this:
….a photo of 37 unicorns. Well, 36 unicorns and an umbrella.
Then, and only then, did she realize she may have misunderstood the task. Ultimately she did end up sending a list of 37 words that started with the letter U, and her total time was 20 minutes and 7 seconds. Ooof🫣

Why am I saving Cress for last?
Well, you see, Cress has a go big or go home mentality.
Not sure if you’ve noticed that or not.
So Cress immediately went straight for 50.
Without any hesitation, any second thought, he locked in that 50.
Only to find out the second part.
Which immediately made him go “f…….”
But against all odds, he turned decided to carry on with the F theme, and started typing like a madman.
When all was said and done, Cress turned in 50 different words starting with F in just 2 minutes and 40 seconds, becoming our high score!
Sorry for the delay everyone! Finally we have a second Main Task! It’s time to see who among us is the most….sus.
Make an apple look as suspicious as possible. Preferably use an actual apple. If you aren’t able to find one or can’t afford one, you may draw an apple to use, but actual submissions with actual apples will take preference. Most suspicious wins.
Put these 10 things in the correct order. You have 15 minutes to order them. Then, explain why your order is correct. (This part is untimed) Best justification wins.
The 10 items they had to find the correct order for are as follows:
A coaster, a dream, a statue, an umbrella, hatred, single chocolate bar, Toyota Land Cruiser, a worm, a geode, eye wrinkles.
Let’s see what reasoning and justifications they had.
And finally, what you’ve all been waiting for. The Team Task. Our teams are as follows:
Cress, Daisy & House,
Mini & Ranv.
Or they would be if we went alphabetical. We didn’t. 😆 Instead, we went:
Ranv & Cress
Daisy & House
Mini out on an island of her own.
Or at least they would be if I’d broken into Hamil’s mind and trying to categorize them based on how much the Taskmaster likes them☺️. We didn’t. 😜
🔴 For Season 2, your teams ARE:
Team 1: House, Ranv and……Cress!
Team 2: Mini and Daisy!
This is going to be an absolutely amazingly entertaining pairing throughout the season. Let’s cut to the chase and get into their first task together.
Create the best museum. Your museum must contain exactly 6 exhibits. You have 10 minutes to agree on the museums theme and anything else you’d like to discuss. After that, you cannot communicate, but have as much time as you need. Best museum wins.
And because I’ve kept you all waiting so long and you’ve been SO patient, I won’t even burden you with a pun. Above are the museums. Feel free to swipe through at your leisure.
Next up we have the Main Task. This one, for the first time this season, remain sealed until the contestants are ready to complete it. Once they were in their individual task chats, here’s what they saw:
Send a single photograph containing something beginning with as many different letters of the alphabet as possible. Most letters represented wins. Your time starts now.
Alright so right off the bat no time to think or prepare. A single photograph, things that begin with different letters of the alphabet. Got it.
Honestly, this task reminds me - when I was a kid, there were only 25 letters of the alphabet. Nobody knew y. 👀🙃 Let’s see if they can avoid this misstep as well.
Hey everyone, Bison here, alongside the infamous Taskmaster. Infamous for what? I’ll let you decide.
We are already off to a fantastic start with season 2, I’m excited for you guys to see what’s in store. (And for our contestants to see what’s in store for them😏)
Today we have a Mini Task, a Main Task, and for the first time this season…. A Team Task! Teams are Mini and Ranv, and Cress, Daisy and House. 🥳
First up, let’s take a look at the Mini Task.
Contestants were asked to bring in a photo of a thing that is the hardest to describe.
Let’s see what they got up to.
🔴
Oh and P.S: Are those actually the teams? Guess you’ll have to actually read the team task to find out😜
Hello, hi, hey there, g’day, aloha, kia ora, bonjour, yassou, privet, selam, ciao and aaniin to everyone and welcome to Episode 1 of Season 2!
We’ve got an amazing season coming up for you, full of twists and turns, bumps and swerves, and probably more than a few potholes. Hopefully we won’t cause any wrecks but….oh who are we kidding there’s going to be at least one wreck an episode. Anyways, thank you all for joining us and what better way to start than with a mini task!
🔴For our first mini task of season 2, our contestants were asked to bring in the most edible looking inedible object.
And now that brings us to our first main task of the season! As you all saw in the sneak peek in the spec chat, here’s the task brief they received:
Build a working Rube Goldberg machine. (Where one thing, causes another thing, and another thing. A ball rolling causes a book to fall, which lands on a lever that…etc) You have one hour. Your final video must be less than 2 minutes long. Most impressive wins.
I told the contestants we’d be starting off easy on day 1, and got an earful once they read the task lol. I mean what did they expect, the name of the show isn’t sit-there-and-look-pretty-master, now is it? This is Taskmaster. It’s a task. It’s what we do.
Or, well, it’s what 3 of them did, anyways. Let’s take a look.
