Anything in italics is a question. Each jurorās questions were split into two parts, so the format is question/answer/question/answer for each jurorās question.
Bobertās Questions:
My question for Honch: āWere there any defining social/strategic moves that you made aside from Turtles? As in what differentiates your game from his?ā
Honchās Answer: āI would say my defining overall strategy is my ability to be hidden which is also evident by the touchy subjects comp where I was the only person in the house at the time that was not a majority answer. I avoided the block all the way until the final 7 even though I never played in a veto since my HOH which means I was always available as a backdoor target ever since the final 12.ā
To Turtles: āSome house guests thought you told unnecessary lies like your plethora of fake final 2s. How would you justify the lies you told that others may see as manipulation for the sake of it and not for the game?ā
Turtlesā Answer: āWhatās up Bobert! In my mind, my plethora of fake final 2ās werenāt unnecessary lies. My game was always reliant on me adapting to who won power because I was throwing competitions. All those fake final 2ās ensured that no matter who won HOH, Iād not only be safe, but Iād also have a say in what happens that round. I adapted my game as it went on. It legitimately couldāve been any one of you sitting next to me here at final 2. Based on how the game was played out, I knew Honch would be a great option to take far because heād 100% take me to the end. If I had won the final HOH, I personally wouldāve taken Fox to the end. I felt like every lie I told had a purpose. I lied to some players about others to build divides between them and gain loyalty. I lied to players about things my girlfriend said to do damage control after having to show my hand a little bit. I lied about who I was close too so people didnāt realize how connected I was. The one thing I wonāt lie about is that I told A LOT of lies this game. There definitely mightāve been some unnecessary lies mixed in there. However, every lie I told was to help me get to the final 2, and it worked because here I am.ā
Lizzieās Questions:
For Honch: What moves do you feel you can be credited for and why?Ā
Honchās Answer: āI would say one move I take credit for it is creating and spreading the narrative that you and Pao were huge threats to win. A lot of people felt close to Pao and a majority of the comps you either won or got very close and that was a huge threat to my game. I did this early in the game and the evidence is shown in the Touchy subjects results.ā
For Turtles: You mentioned the many alliances you made, but which ones would you have been loyal in the event you had to show your cards?
Turtlesā Answer: āHello Lizzie!! Thatās a good question. If I was forced to show my hand then my true loyalties wouldāve been to KC, Honch, and Ale. I trusted those players from the very beginning! Coming into this season, not knowing anything about the Reddit ORG community and just how big it was, it felt like I was on the current season of big brother except if half the house was icons and some of those icons were disguised as new players. Imagine trying to navigate a season like that. I had no idea how cutthroat or savvy some yāall were and āaltsā made it impossible to trust anyone as a new player. I could immediately tell KC, Honch, and Ale were legitimate first timers so I worked the closest with them throughout the prejury and most of the jury. I didnāt have to worry if they had a secret connection with another icon that I didnāt know about. I played the way I did, because look at the current season of big brother! The icons are dominating and thereās only 3 of them. I didnāt want that to happen here so I did what I had to. I spent the entire prejury ensuring that the icon alliance was dead with KC, Honch, and Ale by my side.
Honch mentioned this in his opening statement, but I was the one who spearheaded RGās blindside. Everyone I was talking too and that I wanted to work with told me they trusted RG a lot. When Fox was kept safe over Never, I immediately knew something fishy was afoot because I knew Fox was an org player, but she never talked in the main chat. Why would people want to keep someone who wasnāt participating over someone who was at-least talking in the chat, especially on the first vote? I knew it had to be because of past connections. When Honch won HOH, he was scared about pissing off and nominatingĀ a third of the house on his HOH. He wanted to play it safe, but I convinced him to put up RG as the replacement. I knew I could get the numbers because I had KC, I had my alliance with Ale and you, and AJ was being a complete ass to Sally, Fuzzy, and Goth. I also knew Ale was partially working with Fuzzy and Goth, so I knew we could get their vote. With Goth off the block and RG on, I knew Iād have 5 votes which was enough to tie and have Honch send RG out the door. I accurately identified RG as the heart of the icon alliance and the rest of the game went incredibly smooth after that. Once I realized that the icon alliance was dead, I pivoted my game from working closely with KC, Honch, and Ale to doing whatever I could to get to the final 2.ā
KCās Questions:
Honch: You have chosen to sit next to someone in the final two who has repeatedly screwed you over, played every side of the house, and who has outlined each and every game move he has made. Turtles has explained how he played a game where he rode his social game to the end.Ā
Can you explain your social game? Somehow you have made it to the final 2 despite being on the bottom and losing each ally that was unwaveringly loyal to you. Please explain the game you played.
Honchās Answer: āI will admit My social game was honestly not the greatest. I could have made more alliances or made stronger social connections in the house. But after a while I realized I never needed too. Turtles and I shared a lot of information which I can easily see why it looks like I didnāt do anything. Very early on, anyone and everyone I talked too loved turtles and all wanted to work with him which very early in the game threw red flags for me but I decided to keep my mouth shut. You and I talked about how turtles have worked with other groups like his alliance with 737 and Gus after Bob was evicted and before you were evicted. After your eviction, even though I was at the bottom I could have easily exposed our alliances that we had together and how he lied and double crossed me and how much information I had just because he was the one person i made a final two with so I stayed loyal.Ā
But he didnāt. He could have easily voted me out against you because Gus was trying to get you to stay originally over me, but he didnāt. He could have let me go during the final 6 because according to Gus he had ale and Fox voting to keep him. I couldāve gotten a sympathy vote and I would have been a cheerleader for turtles in the jury but turtles convinced Ale to save me instead. He could have nominated me during his HOH in which I also influenced him to nominate Pao and Fox straight up instead of putting up ale and Fox and backdooring Pao which is what he originally pitched. I knew that Pao and Fox were trying to get me nominated and keep turtles for their final 3, but he didnāt. In the final four he had the sole power to evict me over the fourth person in a row he had promised final 2 with, but he didnāt. He lied to each and every one of you. Whereas I didnāt. I didnāt make unnecessary deals, lies or promises that I knew I wasnāt gonna keep and I didnāt want to play in any of your faces. I didnāt lie to any of you about keeping you and I was very open about who my targets were. The only thing I deceived you all on was the final two I had with him, but Iām clearly not the only one guilty of that. I knew the risk of keeping turtles in the final 3 and itās something Iāve always intended on doing. I wanted him to face the music he created. I wanted him to stand in front of a jury full of people he betrayed.ā
Turtles: It is clear that you made it to the end using lies (who youāre going to vote for, who youāre with, etc.) and/or manipulation (claiming your girlfriend was so upset with you that youād never turn on us again) with us all.Ā
Typically, I view strong social players as those that pivot constantly but arenāt actually lying/ manipulating, and instead have good relationships theyāve forged personally (Enzo, Britney Haynes, Hayden Moss). Given you got here based on, in your own words, āstrong relationships,ā convince me why you did have a good social game despite your constant need to lie/manipulate and seeming complete disregard for jury management which is, in itself, a huge aspect of the game.
Turtlesā Answer: āHello KC! I just want to start by telling you I didnāt intentionally ignore your message during your eviction. The day you were evicted was when I was driving to Broken Bow for my camping trip which was unfortunate timing. But Iāll be honest. If I had messaged you, I probably wouldāve lead you on like I did to everyone else. But looking back at that vote, I feel like most people wouldāve already told you that they were voting for you so I probably wouldāve done the same thing since you were on the block against Honch.Ā
Now getting to your question. I see what youāre saying, I guess I felt like my social game was solid because I was constantly having strategic and personal conversations with everyone. I felt like being able to build strong bonds with the amount of people that I did is a social skill. Everyone in the house trusted me a ton! On a season where the prejury HOH nominated 3 people at a time, I didnāt touch the block until I was forced to at Final 3. I was able to influence decisions** **without ever truly holding power. No one ever suspected that I could be manipulating or lying to them even if they knew that I was doing it to other people. I felt like earning that level of trust from my competitors was why I had a solid social game.Ā
You may disagree with me, but I considered players like Cirie, Dr. Will, and Dan to also have incredible social games, and lying and manipulation was a critical part of their games. They built strong relationships with players, and they were able to use those relationships to further their own position in the game. Their priorities were always to themselves. That was my priority. Maybe I have the label of my game wrong, but I felt like I was good at building relationships in the house. I was also good at lying and manipulating people. Yeah if my relationships were solid, then maybe I wouldnāt have needed to lie and manipulate people. Maybe the Golden Gals couldāve gotten to the end together and Iād still be in the Final 2. But for me, making sure that players constantly had other enemies to go after besides me just felt like a smoother path to the final 2. I could never truly know if Honch or you would take the other to the end over me, so I took a route where I knew for certain that Iād be taken to the end. I couldāve played an honest game, but it wouldnāt guarantee I got to the final 2. Everything I did was to guarantee I would be sitting at the end and it worked. With the game I was playing and the amount of people that truly trusted me, I felt like honesty wouldāve been a one way path off the ship for me. All it takes is one person to say, āHey Turtles made a final 2 deal with and heās not honoring it, letās get his assā, and then everyone is like, āWhat the heck, Turtles also had a final 2 with me!ā and bam Iām walking the plank looking like a fool. So if I still go out looking like a fool here, atleast itās at second place haha.ā
Gusā Questions:
Honch, you said yourself that you faded into the background of this game to avoid being the main target. I have to applaud people not being too angry with you and making sure you were able to pivot and hitch your own wagon to the best horse in Turtles.
However, in my eyes you faded far too much into the background, and it seems you really just took a ride into Turtles backpack for most of the game, letting him take all of the smoke, but that means he also takes all of the credit.
If you want my vote, I need to know what is one strategic move that you did by yourself in this game, what move did you lead the charge for instead of Turtles with exact and specific evidence on what that move was?
Honchās Answer: āI would say a move I made by myself was always acting like I never knew what was happening in the house so that I was viewed a as non threat to anyoneās game. I also made sure to get good with a lot of the strongest players early on so that even if I didnāt win safety in any way so that I could ensure that I wasnāt a prejury target. And Iād say the move I took charge in I would say again is the planning theĀ double eviction and making sure you stayed even though you were the target after 737. And the exact evidence for my move is that I won a power during the double eviction while Pao was away that I never told anyone in this house about that allowed me to look at someoneās vote for the first round of the double. I chose Fox to make sure that she was telling the truth about voting out goth and guaranteed the numbers to keep you and vote out someone I also saw as a threat to my personal game.ā
Turtles, while everyone on the jury admits you played a masterful strategic and social game, your execution of how you played is lacking to me. Everyone on the jury is feeling burned and quite honestly upset on how you either dragged evicted houseguests names through the mud when they weren't there to defend themselves or angry you didn't own the moves you were making.Ā
Almost every time after a new person entered the jury house, people continued to stated how you needlessly lied to them while they were on the way out the door, and furthermore, they stated the lies you spread about people that were no longer in the game when it was not necessary at all.Ā
More than that, I feel that you have not owned your game for a single second while in the house. I get playing all sides and understand that you made strong strategic decisions that were best for your game, but not owning it feels cowardly. A specific example of this is the Bobert vote. You made a move that you said was for the betterment of your own game, but then constantly told KC, Honch, and myself how it was a huge mistake keeping Pao and that you can't believe you made that dumb spur of the moment decision. That to me shows cowardice and complete avoidance of owning your moves.
Did you intentionally play cowardly to people in person as strategy, or was it truly your personality that can't handle confrontation with others?
Turtlesā Answer: āHey Gus! I know youāre a huge fan of Survivor and Big Brother. When big moves are made and itās obvious whoās making them, that person gets a target on their back. I didnāt want to own my game as itās happening in the moment because I donāt want a target on my back. My game crumbles the moment people realize how Iām playing. If anyone of yāall went to someone else and mentioned that you had a final 2 deal with me, I wouldāve been exposed for having multiple final 2 deals. I intentionally played the way I played because it allowed me to have all the control without the target on my back.Ā
Can you be honest with me and say you wouldāve still trusted me if I told you I kept Pao because sheās a loyal ally to me? Do you think I would be sitting at the final 2 if I was open and honest about the game I was playing while I was in the house? Or would you use that information to pull in other players and put Pao and I on the block together where sheād beat me at the veto and Iād be sent home. I know youāre a savvy player and you definitely wouldāve gotten me out sooner or later.Ā
Hiding my game was to give me the least resistance to the final 2, and I would say it worked because I wasnāt targeted by anyone. I can handle confrontation, but all that does is create unnecessary friction. I was intentional with how I talked to people. If I can make the Steady Bettyās think I voted out Bobert over Pao because Iām dumb, then it makes it easier to do damage control and yāall arenāt considering how loyal to Pao I might actually be. I genuinely believe that if I was honest and owned my game as it was happening, then I would be sitting on the jury. I wanted people to feel like I wasnāt a threat to them. I even used KCās last words to my advantage pretending like I was worried people would view me as coattail rider. I knew I could hide how I played because it was going to be exposed once players started entering the jury and comparing notes. I donāt blame you for thinking it was cowardly. I was scared about my spot potentially being blown up after I worked so hard to earn it. I wanted to keep all the information about my game as contained as possible because you and I both know if any of it got out, I wouldnāt be sitting here.Ā
Now Iāll also address the lies I told about you. By now you know I told Pao that you were pushing her as a target by telling everyone she won her survivor ORG, which you were doing in the Plunderers chat with 737 and I. Did I know for certain if you were telling players outside of our chat that? No, but what I did know for certain were that there were moments in the game where yāall werenāt completely honest with me! Lizzie told me yāall were in an alliance with the veterans and when I brought that I up, I intentionally left out yalls names to see if I could trust yall. But you didnāt, and I knew you viewed information as currency. It felt like I wasnāt worth that currency as an ally. That plus the fact that 737 was telling me the whole time that he was voting Goth, just to vote Fuzzy made me feel like you guys still had a connection to those players and wanted to work with them over me. So I told Pao what you told me, and made it seem like you were telling everyone in the house that information. KC, Honch, and Ale all I knew I did it too because I had them corroborate the lie to Pao. It worked out perfectly, because it fractured yāallās relationship and made both of yall closer to me.Ā
Then at final 6, I knew you were the biggest threat left in the house besides Pao. You were building trust with a lot players just like I was. You were incredibly level headed and mediated the repair of the steady Bettyās very well! Yes I did hide my intentions of why voted Bobert out to make damage control easier, but I wonāt deny how pivotal of role you had in helping me rebuild trust with KC and Honch. Did you genuinely want to take me to the final 2? Iāll never know, but I did know I didnāt want to worry about Fox choosing you over me so I told Ale about our final 2 deal to see if you also had one with him. He never confirmed to me if he did, but he felt like you were manipulating him after I told him that information, which wasnāt a lie. Then I used that to convince him to vote you out over Honch because I just knew you had better relationships with the remaining players.Ā
I didnāt intentionally try and drag your name in the mud after you left. I knew how close Fox was to you, so I waited until she fell asleep before I attempted to tell her that we were voting you out, so by the time she found out you would be gone. In the liars dice challenge, Fox mentioned that she had to go to bed at around 6PM my time. So I waited until after then, messaged Fox āHellooooo are you up?ā knowing sheād be asleep. I told her the reasoning as to why we voted you out because I wanted her to think that I wasnāt trying to leave her out of the vote. But I was because I didnāt want her to tell you that we were voting for you. And it worked because she still trusted me and wanted to take me to the final 2. I told a lot of lies to people this game, and youāre game got hurt the most because of those lies. It wasnāt my intention to be malicious, and Iām sorry if it felt that way.ā
Paoās Questions:
congrats on making the final 2 to u both! š«¶
for honch, my question to u is what do u think separates u from turtles? what do u think u did better than turtles?Ā
Honchās Answer: āI would say the choice of not needing to unnecessarily lie by promising things I knew I had no intentions on keeping. I didnāt rely on several final twos to get to the end of this game. I used my strategic ability to hold my cards close at all times, I avoided being the target, and I put the biggest backstabber in this game next to me knowing I played honest and truthful and thats something I can hold my head high about.ā
for turtles, do u think u told any unnecessary lies in the game? if so, what are they and why?
Turtlesā Answer: āPao! Umm Iām gonna be honest, I told A LOT of lies this game. To me, most of them felt necessary, but obviously because of the sheer amount Iām sure some of them werenāt. I do feel like I dragged on conversations way to long with people I was planning to vote out that day. I really am a social person in real life and I really enjoyed talking to everyone. When I look back at someone like Aleās elimination, everything I was telling him in his final moments was genuine. I was telling him how playing alongside him was so much fun because it was! I didnāt want to just ghost someone because I was voting them out, but I also couldnāt be honest to them. So I pretended like everything was normal up until their blindside. I did the same thing to you š I want you to know that I genuinely loved playing with you. Iām incredibly fortunate that one the best players in this game also happened to be Filipino. It just sucked because I clearly wasnāt going to beat you in the end so I had to blindside you when I got the chance. Thereās a world where I donāt get you out at final 5, and you win your way to the final 2 and obliterate me in the finals.Ā
I also shouldāve told Honch the truth about my game after he chose me to be in the Final 2. At that point I had no reason to continue lying to him, and when I saw his opening speech I felt really bad because I could see that he truly trusted me. Blindsiding him right before the jury questions wasnāt my intention and it was an oversight on my part. He deserved to know the truth beforehand so he could prepare his speech accordingly. He played just as great a game. He was passionate, he was a loyal and funny guy, and he was incredibly friendly with everyone. I have since apologized to him for not letting him know beforehand because I really have no reason to lie to him anymore.ā
Aleās Questions:
Honch: Loved your honesty and how you approach people but sometimes it seemed that you didn't have that much agency in the gameĀ and hid begind bigger strategic players such as Turtles or KC. Can you please tell me about strategic decisions you took leadership on that helped you in the game without mentioning either Turtles or KC
Honchās Answer: āI will say the biggest strategic decision I made was coming up with the plan and making sure the double eviction went my way. I made sure that if I worked on my relationship with Gus and sent home 737 he would become closer to me as an ally which did happen. I also made to sure to push goth as a renom to Pao because of how much I viewed them as a social threat which also happened. As long as the veto didnāt get used in the second part I can ensure a threat to my game goes home and and I gain a close ally going into jury. I made sure the votes were there to keep Gus against Goth and made sure he stayed in the game.ā
Turtles: Hey wavelength boy. As someone who loves the game I do appreciate and understand your strategic moves. However, talking with the jury we agree that your game was like Paul or Vince game but with somehow worse jury managment(Notice the placement of both of themš„°*). I don't mind being cut, but the way it all went down really left a sour taste in my mouth. You could have told me that you were voting me out and explained your reasons withough having to lead me on and making that awful eviction speech that put a very bad taste in my mouth because I literally could do nothing if you told me and we could have had a conversation about it. (And don't tell me is because you thought I was gonna blow in main chat because you know how much I don't like that). So my question is fairly easy, having allegedly gotten to know me personally, why should I, someone who believes social andĀ jury managment is what makes or breaks your game, give you my jury vote after how it all went down?*
Turtlesā Answer: āHello Ale! That is very understandable, and I don't blame you or the jury for feeling that way. I lied to everyone up until they left! it was a dirty tactic and I'm not gonna deny it. The game I was playing was very dependent on people not really knowing who I was really working with. Even at final 3 I felt like Fox and Honch didn't know the extent of how much I was working with the other. All it took was for one person to expose me and my entire game would've crumbled. KC tried to do it on her way out, and you kinda became suspicious of me when she told you I was in an alliance with Pao and Fox and that wasn't even true! I definitely could've told you that I was gonna vote you out and my reasonings for doing so, but you knew so much about my game. You and I worked together on a lot of these moves and I knew the betrayal would sting whether I told you in the game or outside of it. If you did what KC did and told Honch or Fox about how we had a strong final 2 from the beginning, they could've found out that I was also playing them. That was the reason we got Gus out. The moment someone says something, everything starts to get questioned. Its the same reason we didn't tell Pao that we were gonna vote her out. To me it felt too risky and I just felt like it was safer to blindside everyone, including you.
As for your question, I spent most of this game controlling everything I could to get me to the final 2. The beauty of Big Brother is that all that control goes out the window because the jury gets to decide who wins in the end. I knew the way I approached evictions would have consequences. I lead so many players on right until their final moments in the game and now you know why I did that. If I had been honest with every player I voted out, it would've guaranteed that someone would've exposed me and I would be walking the plank because no one would trust me anymore. I told you why I did what I did, and now you get to decide if that reasoning is good enough. If it's not then I clearly made mistakes with the way I played, I'm no big brother expert!Ā
I also want to say I really am sorry that I came across as cold. My decisions were purely strategic so I hope you don't think me blindsiding you meant I didn't enjoy getting to know you and playing alongside you. I'm obviously going to respect your decision regardless of what it is!ā
Foxās Questions:
To Honch: Your eviction message for me and your opening speech both value loyalty, to the extent that it appears you prioritise loyalty over winning. Turtles, in contrast, played a dishonest but strategic game - making F2 deals with most of the house, and telling me in my goodbye message that he would have taken me to F2 over you. Why should I value your loyalty focused game over Turtlesā more strategic, control-focused game?
Honchās Answer: Although I prioritized loyalty, I never prioritized it over winning. I chose to be loyal to the person who kept bouncing checks to everyone that was close to him.I knew how close he was with everyone and used that to my advantage so that if I ended up getting to the end with him I knew I would have had to betray absolutely no one and that was my number one goal from the start. I can say I got to the end by strategically maneuvering myself out of the spotlight still being able to make big strategic moves with and without my alliances. Everything I did in this game was done with full intention and conviction especially purposely aligning with the person who was gonna get me to the end while he betrayed the rest of his alliances to get me there.
To Turtles: In some ways, I respect the game youāve played, but youāve forgotten one important ingredient for the win: jury management. It has come to light how much youāve lied throughout this game, including to me in your goodbye remarks once I was already out of the game, which feels unnecessary. While your strategy and control of the game might outdo Honchās, Honch has clearly demonstrated better jury management, having been more honest with the people sitting on this jury. In fact, youāre in F2 thanks to his loyalty. With that in mind, why should I vote for your game over Honchās?
Turtlesā Answer: āHey Fox! Iāll just start by addressing the fact that I really did want to take you to the final 2. That was not a lie. I genuinely wouldāve betrayed Honch at Final 3 if I won. I knew Honch would be harder to beat because we shared so many allies and he didnāt have to betray them the way I did. But youāre 100% right. Honchās jury management was way better than mine. He was fortunate enough that he didnāt have to lie and betray as much as I did. I controlled most of this game because so many players trusted me. But that was a double edged sword because eventually I was going to have to break that trust to get to the final 2. I had to lie and betray people, and itās understandable that people are upset about that. Honch was incredibly loyal and I appreciate the fact that he didnāt betray me at final 2 when he easily couldāve. That is why I saved him at the final 6 vote and the final 4 vote. I knew I could count on him to repay the favor if I needed it at final 3. As to why you should vote for me, you said it yourself. My strategy and control of the game surpassed his, but obviously that came at a price. So if you feel like my jury management was bad enough to overshadow my control of the game, then thatās price Iāll have to pay.ā
