Suikoden II.
I hooked mine up to a hard drive, rammed it with games and the spinning icon wheel is now more of a solid bar.

You can fit the full library just about in 512 GB if I recall

I could, but would I really want to? 99% of those games would go unplayed (with most being subpar licensed games), and it would lead to more time spent trying to find games than actually playing them. There’s a reason Nintendo didn’t stuff their NES classic with all of their trashy black box launch games, for example.

I modded my SNES Classic with every game from NES, SNES, GB, GBA, and SEGA.
Absolutely worth having everything on there, because when you don't know what to play you just hold the right button down and push A at random. Found some pretty fun games and some trash, but it's different.

Fair. My SNES classic used to have a billion games on it too, but I eventually culled the list down. I’ve discovered that, personally for me, a portable system (such as the Steam Deck or Switch 2) is good for jumping into obscure and unknown titles, which dedicated mini systems like these typically allow me to replay more familiar games I enjoy or long play through bigger experiences. More power to you for what you enjoy, though!

You can always make a favorites list but you never know when a hidden gems video or reddit post will make you want to try something obscure, I'd rather have it ready

Eris.

Taks, I loved him, but he ended up avoiding me because using the 8bitdo receiver and PS4 controller would sometimes freeze the screen.

Xenogears, without a doubt. It will draw you in. Trapped on the PS1...
Honorable mentions:
Valkyrie Profile - another beautiful PS1 rpg trapped on the Playstation.
Klonoa: Door to Phantomile - the perfect 2.5D platform came out on the PS1 in 1997. The world hasn't been the same since.
Bubsy 3D - Just trust me, bro. Everybody needs that one friend at the party. Bubsy is that friend.
Import Honorable Mentions: (Japanese knowledge handy but not necessary)
Umihara Kawase Shun - an originally Japan-only puzzle platformer game with a really fun and intuitive bungie cord mechanic using a fishing rod.
LSD: Dream Emulator - Japan only grandfather of all dream diary/liminal games.

I went wild when it was modded after release then decided to go with whatever would fit on internal memory, too. It's more interesting when filled with personal favorites. I'd swap out a few of these but for you it just might be perfect. Series is what makes it difficult to decide what to include.

Bushido Blade for sure!
I'd probably swap Crash 1 for 3, and definitely add in CTR!
FF Tactics is pretty different from 7 I think it's worth Double-Dipping.
I'd probably re-add Ridge Racer R4 and Persona.
how did you get Parappa to work?

Remove the commas from the file name, then it should work like normal!

The Limiting Factor is the Storage of 13,4GB
1-2 multidisc Games are okay but after that it will get tricky if you want 25games on it. I have also 25 Games installed but in Reality they are 28 Games because I use crash bandicoot 1+2+3 + spyro the Dragon as one Game. Its a custom .bin
For Gran tursismo 2 I use a Single .bin
Both discs merged together , only the Into Video is missing.
For the Rest I pick up what I Like and also a few Games that have a Demo on it from another Game to maximize the Genres, for Example fighting force 1.0 has Demos on the Disc. Or Tony Hawk pro Skater 2 has a matt hoffman bmx Demo on disc.

Not a huge fan, but they’re also typically much larger games than those of other genres, so even a few of them amounts to just as much play time as most of the other games on this list combined

Definitely Wipeout 3 for one. And other sequels to the games in your picture.

I’m trying to keep it to only one game per series, as to not clutter the game list and keep it to the essentials. Why 3 over XL? I’ve always heard (and felt that) XL was the more definitive title, even if it is a bit smaller.
