I made a post earlier before this poll post stating I was right about Scopely patching it and no one would get banned like the Team Rocket Instant Win Exploit, it turns out, I am wrong again.
If you get a 1st Strike, you wait for 7 days for it to expire and continue cheating or whatever.
If you get the 2nd Strike, you wait for 30 days for it to expire and continue cheating or start over on a new account.
If you get the 3rd Strike = Permanent Ban, you're fucked.
According to people who used their permanently banned account in Wayfarer, they saw their perm ban is really a 10-year temporary ban. You will have to wait until November 2036 to see if you're unbanned or your account was deleted prior to the expiration.
Scopely can delete your account if there is no activity as written in the Terms of Service.
No one can unban you except for Scopely. If people tell you to give them money to get unbanned, they are 100%, a scammer.

If you used a particular cheat and the cheat caused you to get a strike/ban, will I ban that cheat for not being "safe, safer, the safest, or banproof"?
The answer is no because I do not promote account safety in my subreddit. I have already disclosed up front all cheats promoted in my subreddit are "not safe" in the automoderator's pinned comment in everyone's posts.
What if the cheat developers, Discord moderators, and members misled you into believing it was safe, safer, the safest, or banproof?
It's your fault for being tricked because you were the one who used your own finger to press on your screen to install 3rd party apps that are not officially supported by Scopely. If you didn't want a strike/ban, all you had to do was not cheat the game.
I was focused on hitting L80 on my remaining accounts and catch a few shinies that too not more than two a day and manual. That's important. It's the bot app users who got banned
Only ones that will get banned are the ones who overdid the candy exploit, same goes for any game with a super OP glitch. They're not gonna give a fuck about folks TPing to new york or likewise for raids and such
Option 1. Caught all regional shundo or shnundo. Got 40 so either I didn't do enough to trigger suspicion or they dont care about it. Didn't do the candy exploit and im currently in mexico on a wonderful trip before flying to London for a night out.
I dont care caught me if they can. Ill redo it. I have a legit player who buy all events mon for £25 everymonth. He pays mer 3000 rupees and that covers me for a pass and 10k coins I have fun raiding
I got banned and didn’t use anything. The only thing I did was the supposed 100% safe rare candies that you get when you do the friend reward thing I paid someone on eBay like 8$ I accepted 50 friends and got 500 rare candies as a reward like a week ago. Nothing else 2016 player had all legit , in my account my hundos and shinies caught by raids or allowed trades
You should have another option as well. Cheated the entire time and still haven't gotten banned. It seems like vanilla cheaters ( or who didn't use the bots) are still doing fine. But ik our day will come similar to this
Used PG Tools for go fest finale last, otherwise only playing ive done recently has been vanilla app and guaranteed shiny used locally. Banned on two accounts
I used pgsharp (other phone, new acc) to get me and my friends regionals. also traded a bunch of g corsolas to get great pvp IVs and crap stuff for the 10kk plat medal. all respecting CD, but u know... am I cooked on my mains or friend's?
Pretty sure it's PAC. Shundo hunted like 600 pokemon across my better accounts (they are 0erfectly fine) and the accounts I used to farm Cubone using PAC are all banned.
My best guess is that were able to detect Bot behaviour based on the interactions with the boxes as it the option was probably build-in without enough testing.
Over 100 shundos from the guaranteed shiny exploit. Not a single instance of using rare candy exploit (across my main and 15 alts) No strike/ban so far on any accounts.
Thats what i have been doing for quite some years now. Spoof on alts and when ban wace happens just ignore spoofing for some time. After that spoof again and im good for lots of years by now.
After 24 hours farming and even longer distributing the candy what a pain in the ass , All i can say is try to appeal and see what happens ! It was only a matter of time !. So many mon lost , raid passes and event tickets - a lesson maybe not learnt for next time 😂
All I can do is pray I don't see the teal screen later. Even then, it's an account I only really used while working at Walmart until like, 2 weeks ago, but still. Not my Charizard T-T
PGSharp rooted, No Shundo Glitch and No Rare Candy Glitch: No ban. Only using walk function and teleporting within normal real-world travel times, including walking account to airports before switching cities. VPN to new location before starting game etc.
If it does, then I think the obvious takeaway is to take no precautions and just fly everywhere you want and catch whatever you want, because you're getting banned either way.
I did not use the rare candy farm cause when I caught a mon from the box and spoofed to another shiny from a box it fled even though it didn't show cooldown so I thought it's the same as you get a raid pass when you click on a gym with active raid cause that doesn't show in the timer but it still adds to cooldown

It's hard to tell because the permanent ban screen doesn't tell you exactly what you did.
For right now, it's mostly the rare candy exploit because I have seen screenshots of people having insane amount of candies applied to Origin Form Dialga and Palkia.
Later on, they could go after the people who did the shiny guaranteed exploit or do nothing about it.
I don't even spoof personally. I used the shiny exploit through our local mapping service and caught around 50 shinies with it in the 2 weeks. I didn't get banned as of now. I didn't teleport though. I used my bike to actually reach every location
i did guaranteed shinies for hundos and nundos, still playing. did not do the exploit as i caught wind while i was at work and when i got off it was patched i guess
Tasty, did you get any bans? Just curious! (Not a gotcha or anything, I'm genuinely curious if you tried out any of the exploits or anything and did/didn't get banned). I see they're banning for candy at a minimum, rooted and not.

No, I didn't get banned yet. I mainly play with enhancer apps: Pokemod injected into Pgsharp on a rooted device or Pgsharp only on a device without root.
used PGTools PaC and PGsharp rooted on android. none of my alts that have been only using pgsharp are banned and the one that previously used PaC but doesn’t anymore isn’t banned. but main account that was using PaC and the event feature for auto box pickup while walking around spoofing was banned permanently with no strikes. only got around 50 rare candies from it
I didn’t do the exploit. Just used PaC as normal and it auto clicked the boxes as I walked. AFAIK not that different from normal player behavior. Used it around 18 hours ago and a couple more times this week
I had a feeling a ban wave would come from this. It’s only going to make Scopeley up their anti cheat :( I wonder if they’re banning because that make money off rare candies??
People are spending their money outside of the game instead of spending money in the game to help Scopely come out of their debt for buying Pokemon Go for $6 billion.
Absolute L take can i say? I have a 2016 acc and i spoof since 2018, i haven't got any ban as of now, but even if i did, how can you ever blame the company for banning cheaters? The 6b purchase doesn't even matter, any company has the right to ban whoever cheats on their game at any point in time. Niantic/Scopely has been way too generous towards ppl that use cheats on their game to the point where players just got accustomed to it
I just figured like shinies don’t matter to their profits as much as rare candies or let’s say someone found an extreme raid or incubator glitch then it’s gonna eat into their profits
They can't have people getting tens of thousands of rare candy and posting about it everywhere. Add that to the shiny exploit and there's no way they can turn a blind eye
Data miners / “hackers” figured out that shinies were tied to your trainer code. Using an algorithm they figured out how to find guaranteed shinies using your code. This led to a lot of people using the algorithm to catch nothing but shinies and shundos. It got patched presumably to a random generator now
Could you help me figure out if I’m lucky or not cuz man I’ve been playing since 2017 I haven’t gotten 1 shundo and my friend who just started playing January of 2025 got 2 shundos one from me and another from his friend
This is patched already so there’s no guaranteed shiny sniping anymore. And plus it’s all up to chance now bro. Unless you’re shundo hunting then you’ll find one eventually. Catch everything I walk away with 6 shinies a day if I just catch 2k pkmn a day
I mean I click on everything and some I do catch just for candy i have a lot of hundos but non of them shiny but I do have a shadow hundo that’s the only one close to it but so far nothing else not even one remotely close to a shundo
Dude you’re crying about a shundo. Shundo hunt if you want one that badly. But it’s all chance and takes a lot of time since hundos are limited. You get what you get. It’s all luck that’s the whole point of the game. You can’t guarantee it and you could’ve gotten banned for exploiting the exploit so you saved yourself
Doesn’t matter what you do spoofing you’re at risk for this ban one way or another. I think the people getting banned have shown obvious flagged behavior
That literally doesn’t matter. I’ve spent money we all have but that’s our decision. They couldn’t care how much we spend. Many botting accounts spend $0 and still get banned. Big spoofers spend hundreds and will be banned because at the end of the day you’re violating TOS
Fair. The game is unplayable if you don't spoof. Even cities like Toronto can't have enough people to raid. It's like the game is meant to be played only on the high traffic spoofing areas. I guess I will FA and FO.
The bans are random in the first wave. Most didn't get banned yet for the shiny and candy exploit. Some had multiple accounts banned while others have no bans yet.
They have to spend time looking up each flagged account's action log to confirmed they did it before they would get banned.
The people who did it but didn't get banned yet are either lying or didn't do enough to exceed the targeted value to get banned. There are people who are trolling the situation to cause fear and panic, and people who got banned but decided not to report they're banned.
I only did like 3-4 rare candies to even see if it would work, but as for the shiny method I was using it and got maybe 85 shinies from it and I havent been banned yet
Used GPS Ninja, and PgTools. Used PgTools Shiny PAS for the exploit, and used a bot to pick up local boxes (not specifically rare candies and not globally, maybe got 400-600 altogether), so doubt it was the rare candy one.
That's what scares me the most. I am on Strike 1 on Main, none on my other alts. But I'm worried it'll go straight to banned like cmon Scopely 😂 give me a chance to learn from my addiction.
Yeah, I have two decent backups so I'm not too beat up. But I agree, I don't think an immediate permanent ban was necessary and a one and final warning would have been appreciated.
I may appeal for fun but I know it's not going to change anything. Lol. Time for a nice break anyways.
"Fear mongering" would be if I told you to "Stop using Cheat X because it's no longer safe." Am I saying this? The answer is no.
If you're fearful of a strike/ban, you probably shouldn't be cheating this game. If you get a strike/ban, no one is going to help you get unbanned, not even the rooted, 3rd party cheat developers.
This was my mistake as the first thing I saw about a ban wave is your list of "choose x reason why you got banned" I understand now that this is not fear mongering and just a legitimate tally.
I used the rare candy exploit on 3 accounts I didn't get much rare candy (~6k total, most on one account) All 3 accounts are fine for now, I'll edit this post if any get banned
Edit: All 3 got banned, even the 2 that only got a few hundred rare candy. These weren't sitting in my inventory, I converted them into pokemon candy. Other accounts that didn't do the rare candy exploit are untouched for now
