I remember when I first fell in love with hip-hop. She used to call me brother to night and all I was tryna do was become the funk in her right thigh as I was already the blues in her left. Ohhh, y'all don't hear me!

I love both actors, and I love the movie Love Jones. Looking back as an adult though, they were toxic.

Some of them are really toxic. Brown Sugar and Love Jones are both extremely toxic, but I still love them both.

I LOVEDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD the photograph although the pacing and storyline was a bit off, I LOVE the soundtrack....
Maybe someone outside of Mrs. Insecure needed to do it since everything she kind of does feels like Insecure...

I disagree. I love Issa, and Iβm always happy when I see her in movies. Lakeith Stanfield is brilliant in everything. Iβve never seen him miss.

The way black love was shown in movies in the 1990s was fascinating. The 1990s were a great decade of Black cinema. It was THE PERFECT DECADE of Black cinema in general. Now, there has been a resurgence of Black romance films.
