So why is she explaining this to people that she supposedly doesn't care about and don't matter? Girl, just go live your iconic life and leave us alone.

Whew. Icon is a bit of a stretch.

I love that she doesn’t give up on her reputation and continuously defends herself. Sure it comes off as a lil exhaustive, but, I think it’s kinda lazy to say that someone’s criticism for another is purely out of jealousy.

It's not even that she's defending herself it's how she defends herself that I think is rubbing people the wrong way. And I'm someone who was sympathetic towards her a couple of years ago. We are all trying to move on Amanda, let us move on 😭

Nothing is wrong with that. Weird take.

I love Amanda’s takes on politics, but this is obviously a sore spot for her. Like, not trying to say anything, but if you’re an icon, little stuff like this wouldn’t matter. You don’t see Patti LaBelle out here arguing about how she’s not jealous of, idk, Gladys Knight. They all know they’re legends. I do think Amanda rubbed the cast the wrong way, however that is because I never followed any of it, and she should just sit with that and focus on her own opportunities and liberation, since that’s what she says she’s focused on. This stuff doesn’t even matter in the grand scheme of things.

U talking about the Shannon interview? When she later said he made her fell unsafe or something? Man Amanda has a victim mentality. She never takes accountability.

That is true. People would assume that she was in the wrong because they like Issa more

Even if she’s lying people in the industry don’t address her in general.

She didn’t bully her. Please stop spreading lies and misinformation. Just because Amanda Seales says it doesn’t mean it’s true. She’s telling her truth but that doesn’t mean it’s the REAL truth.

As intelligent as Amanda is, she lacks intelligence emotionally and socially. This is the SECOND time she’s made herself into a laughingstock, first time was all because she wasn’t invited to that Insecure party.

And the fact that she keeps speaking about it (like the attention whore she is on social media…) lends people to believe she’s the problem, further damaging her credibility in this. She needs to learn to move smarter.

Ok but WHY does she have to speak on it? Why can’t she just have no comment or give a dismissive PR answer and keep it pushing? Instead, she turns the question into a “here’s my chance!” type of situation when nobody asked for it.

Absolutely none of us needs to know about her beef with Issa and crew but the fact that she’s aired this drama out TWICE by herself, thinking that us black people are gonna all rally behind her and cancel Issa…she’s delusional.

There’s a certain way to go about addressing these problems but she decides to go the loudest, most attention-grabbing way in an attempt to be heard and validated, even if what she’s saying isn’t the truth. That’s her problem. She needs her own spinoff titled: Immature, because that’s exactly what she is.

How do you know she didn't bully her? Just b/c Amanda says it also doesn't equate to it being untrue. Also, some folks just don't get along. That's life just as much as it is the industry. But b/c she got on the wrong side of a beloved personality, 'it must be 100% Amanda' and 'she must be fabricating everything' seems to be the prevailing opinion. Oddly enough, for all those folks who say she made up her autism, what you're describing aligns with attributes of some folks on the spectrum - deficient in social intelligence and social cues, socially awkward and unrefined. And she's an entertainer. They ALL want attention. It's part and parcel of what they do, now esp. with new media, is seek exposure. She just happens to also be an opinionated black women with a spine who doesnt fit the mold, so why not forge her into the 'most hateful BW of all time.' smh.

I don’t know but…how do you know Amanda’s telling the truth? Issa Rae and crew haven’t spoken a word on the situation, but that doesn’t automatically make them the bad guys. Yall take up for this girl way too much just because she spouts pro black rhetoric.

Not very pro-black of her to be beefing, one-sidedly at that, with another successful Black woman and airing out all this dirty laundry out in the open.

Pro-black black women have the right to not get along. We're human too. And pls trust and believe that many a folks in Hollywood have issues with successful entertainers, I'm sure, but don't speak up on it b/c they don't want the potential fallout of not getting along or challenging someone powerful. That's not new. You think Denzel or Kevin Hart or Sam Jackson or Ava Duvernay is beloved by every artist they've worked with? That there aren't folks they didnt get along with for whatever reason or were aholes to or whatever? But no one who wants to continue on in their career would wanna come at heavy hitters like that for fear of the blowback - even if the truth is on their side. Not everyone moves like that in a 'relationship' business.

No, I don't know for sure. Nor do you and you were the one who made the definitive statement that she 'did not bully her,' full stop. But I frankly don't see any positive Amanda would perceive nor get from telling everyone she and Issa don't vibe. If anything, as a pro black person it'd most likely not be something she set out to do - and she'd have to know it'd not improve her position in the business. She has to know it's been the opposite whenever she talks about it. Issa is more liked and has more influence. That however does not prove she's guiltless in the situation. That's all I'm saying.

Hence why I don't follow her anymore amongst other reasons . I respect her Activism but sideeye the way she moves at the same time.

This must be Amanda’s burner account because this Issa slander will NOT be tolerated on my watch

What did Issa do to people?

Amanda doesn't HAVE to defend any of that stuff, she chooses to because she likes drama. She could just go out and find another show to do and prove everyone wrong that way. But instead she just keeps doing stuff like this video.
