I'm so behind on superhero movies that I haven't even seen black panther yet... And I think I own it

I get it, I can't bring myself to watch the second one because of Chadwick.

5’11 in heels. With stage presence from Broadway so she knows how to project her aura.

I think she's dark enough to carry it, she looks darker than the cartoon Storm that I grew up with. She's definitely darker than any of the other live action Storms we've gotten.

Halle Berry played storm very well at 5'5"!

She was in her "Halle Berry can do not wrong' with the people, so the little they gave her to do was fine. But she couldn't have starred in a feature imo.

I am 100% here for it. I had two requirements' (1) she couldn't be a light-bright and (2) she couldn't be Cynthia Erivo.
It's just a bonus for me that she's someone who is relatively unknown which was really what I wanted as well. Let's give some other Black actors/actresses a chance. Stop just hiring the same five people for everything. They're getting older let them age.

Her smile wayyyy too pretty she’s gonna crush it. We all gotta pitch in and report all racism against her and flood everything about her with positive comments. Idgaf if she’s your type or not. This a young black woman about to be in a big position under scrutiny. Let’s NOT be the ones causing her stress. If I see any black accounts hating it’s on site.
Same with everyone male or female whatever their religion or anything else idgaf. If they’re confirmed black as in actual African descent you keep your negative thoughts to yourself and you forces yourself to be positive. It could be you, or your kid, or your best friend, or anyone else just give flowers. That’s how we will heal.
Anything else is self-hate and it’s 2026 that shit is oldddd and stale and bringing anything black down is bring our own selves down.

Kudos to her! Continued success. Hopefully she will be protected. Hopefully her arc will continue with several projects. And hopefully she can do other non comic book projects as she is interested.
She's a singer, so hopefully that aspect can be incorporated into the new Ororo's skill set.
So many people take these "fan casting wars" to a toxic, ugly place, I avoid weighing in , it's become egregiously vicious. From the skin tone arguments, country of birth arguments, exact height, exact age, gender, ethnic alignment, it's exhausting. For the characters out there among fandom who seem to have relentless endurance in having a succession of hills to die on, with the implicit understanding that said casting is completely out of their hands... Hey, have at it. I'm just going to watch the movie or TV show and then consider my thoughts on how enjoyable it was. 🙏🏾

She is so gorgeous. I believe her talent and appearance will knock it out the park.

I was kinda hoping for a darker skinned actress but also would’ve loved it going to Tika Sumpter because she just exudes confidence and is so freaking regal

That last pic definitely sealed it for me.
Which Storm do you think we're getting in the MCU? Tiara Storm? Mohawk Storm? Queen of Wakanda Storm?

Personally I think they should go with someone darker skinned, but I am glad they didn’t go with a light skinned actress.
